I cannot see any sanity, logic, or forward looking, with putting tariffs on our allies. It is hurtful to everyday Americans. Who benefits from this? The wealthy, like t-rump, and his cronies. President Trump and you need to work it all out. As far as blanket tariffs go, I do agree that your goods and services, including tariffs should be mutually broken down to create benefits for all. Trump signed USMCA. Who’s not in the original USMCA agreement is China. I think he mentioned Mexico because it puts a spotlight on the New Mexico President, and it takes some of the Tariff politics down a notch with China by compiling the different Countries together. Mexican President is 100% right. All these years thanks to cooperation we could nearly solve the illegal immigration problem bring it down to few millions each year . If we put tariff on Mexican goods that might make Mexico very angry and disrupt the sending immigrants.

It seems that if Adlof Trump was even 1/10th as smart as the President of Mexico he would actually have a brain. Last time Adlof Trump put tariffs on Canadian lumber the price of OSB sheathing went from 9 bucks a sheet to 56 bucks a sheet. That really taught Canada a lesson as we paid thousands more for each home that was built after that.

All of a sudden we have to be careful of what Mexico’s president has to say? We are the strongest economy and we’ve been put to the test. We can do with or without. The U.S. will learn a lesson soon, You cannot impose tariff on all products coming from Mexico without hurting your economy. The U.S. citizens will pay that decision without a doubt.
