With the Supreme court in his pocket, the US is following Putins lead and becoming a dictatorship. The law is far to pliable there at this point. \nAll those voted Trump in and think he is making America great, you are DILLUSIONAL!\nHe will take you and your families down.. the young get sent to war, the old asshole sociopathic men sit by the fire protected. It took a very long time for Germany to escape the reputation after Hitler. You want the rest of the world to disdain and never trust your country and people?! Germany recovered, but it was painful healing. \nHow bout Trump sleeps out on the streets, deals with fentanyl addicted unsupported US citizens and veterans or get sent to war? I’ve read a lot of comments from people saying “Trudeau ruined Canada” in response to people expressing their support for Trudeau in this time.\n\nThat’s not really a great point.\n\nIf Trudeau hasn’t been good for Canada, but gives a coherent, inspiring, and professional speech in this moment that unites Canadians and others alike, then that should speak so much to how awful this situation is. Huge respect to Trudeau and Canada for not backing down. I hope one day we’ll be allies with the right side of the world again.\n\nWe wanna talk about a leader ruining a country? THIS IS A LEADER! This is how a leader should speak. Without an ounce of arrogance but full of factful compassion. Truth be told, Mr Trudeau is one of my favourite leaders of a country. How refreshing to listen to an intelligent leader! i only take issue with him calling Trump a smart guy. Trump will never do anything but ridicule and insult Trudeau and Canada no matter what concessions Canada makes. The great thing is that Trump never had any kind of plan except to tariff the hell out of our former allies. Canada is very systematic about their tariffs against US. They are using a scalpel rather than a sledgehammer. Very smart against very stupid, childish, and undisciplined.

I live in Maine on the border with Canada and im absolutely ashamed at what trump is doing. Canada is an incredible country and a great ally to the US, and this entire thing that trump is doing is reprehensible. It would be an improvement to have a leader like Trudeau who can actually get a point across.

Prime Minister Trudeau, thank you for showing the world how a true gentleman and leader talks to the leaders of another country in spite of the irrational, immoral and turncoat actions from a former Ally; our (?) new MAGA President Donald Trump. It's so surreal that this narcissistic, psychopathic person actually won the Presidential election (again). All I can say is I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of my broken country's politicians in Washington, D.C. at present. Many more Americans support the democratic policies than the anti-democratic that Trump's regime is spouting all around the world. Just know this isn't what most Americans believe and we don't support his thoughts and actions. We are trapped in this nightmare that makes no sense. We hope this is just a temporary change. These new policies benefit no one but the oligarchs of America (and world). Wow! I have great respect for all the countries coming together as a whole. It's a shame we have such a lousy worthless President. Canada added more immigrants than they can produce jobs or housing. Carbon tax and many other taxes and programs created also issue. We need cut spending especially so many social programs on tax payers dollars. These liberal and ndp promise false hopes and that's why this country is going to the ground no matter how much they try to justify their action. Is polli solution?! I'm sure he will do something to help recover and anyone is better than Trudeau now, but long term future only times will tell what kind of leader he will become, either a great leader or corrupted leader.
