We need a PM that puts Canadians first. No more immigrants and get rid of😅😂the 600,000 illegals here now

We are going to be sorely sad to see Trudea step down from his office as Prime Minister of Canada, as we need great leaders like him to fight for us. We pray that whoever replaces this seat of PM is going to stand firm and keep Canada and the United States united, and I am not refering to us becoming a 51st State.

You people from XYZ are really like the EU hypocrites that all you got is words. As a Canadian, I hate Trudeau and everything his government has done to the country. I want a PM like Trump that is willing go against the entire system(deep state) and dig out all the dirt even though you're in the way of a lot of powerful people and organizations. Out of all the world leaders today, Trump is the only one with that kind of courage. Compare that to Trudeau—aside from his nice suits and polished public image, what has he actually done to improve the lives of Canadians? \nWe need a DOGE go into WHY WE ARE PAYING SO MUCH TAXES. When I was living in Vancouver, I (and many ppl) would just drive cross the border to get gas and groceries because it's just much cheaper once you're on US soil.... For years we cannot retain any talents because they would just migrate to the states because the pay is much higher with less taxes. I used to live in a bubble thinking that even though life is tough and it's harding to make a living here but at least it's more peaceful here than the States. That is not the case anymore and everything is getting worse in the past 10 years.

President Trump and you need to work it all out. As far as blanket tariffs go, I do agree that your goods and services, including tariffs should be mutually broken down to create benefits for all. Part of my lineage is from Quebec, and here USA. We all need to help each other. Laser focus to arrest and put in prison all drug terrorists should be everyone's focus. The wars elsewhere are sidetracking the two of you from standing side by side with one another, as you mention you usually do. Our dumb PM Trudeau is punishing Canadians by adding tarrifs to US products they need for their businesses and not given them time to find alternative canadian sources. He is not as smart as premier Doug Ford who is just adding surtaxes to products sold to US from Canada. He doesn't care if he did he would end poroguing of parliament and increase spending on military and border protection on all sides of our country he says that Trump is going to cause a recession in Canada we already have on caused by 9 years of Liberal federal government backed by NDP leader Jagmeet Singh.

For everyone here blaming the government. Who rans the country is not just the PM but a bunch of them including the opposition.I am not defending anyone, I am just putting some light on the financial situation we are all in. NOW lets remind everyone about what everyone seemed to have forgot about it, which is our external debt and which is what has put our country in the situation we are now. By the end of the 2024-25 fiscal year, Canada’s total market debt is expected to surpass $1.4 trillion compared to the USA which is of 17 trillion In March 2024, don't think we are doing that bad.\nEvery day our debt grows by more than $100 million, and every second, Canada pays more than $1,200 in interest.\nThere is more that just paying taxes. WE HAVE A DEBT AND WE NEED TO PAY IT OFF.

In order to maintain proper cross-border cooperation, we need a PM with at least half a brain, which we sadly don't have right now. We have an outdated visa system that has never been upgraded, and I doubt that it will get any better under this incompetent PM.

I lived in Canada from 1983 to 2016 after I left the US Air Force in '83. I was born in the SF Bay area, and grew up there in the Hippie peace love/Viet Nam era in the 60's and 70's. I now live in Seattle. As we have travelled to San Fran, New Orleans, Nashville, Miami, Vancouver (Canada) and New York in the last 6 months, I kinda have a pretty good idea how it was on both sides of the border way back then, as well as right now. We have 2 rental homes, and I STILL have to work until I'm 70 to retire without worrying about losing it all because of the the high cost of health care. Your observation of race/political/religion relations are naive at best, you need to travel the country first hand to see it. Canada has it's far share of right wing crazies as well. They're mostly not armed, and most fights are 5 minute shouting matches. I know this because I work on construction sites. Canada doesn't have commercials for pharma or ambulance chasers. Because big pharma is kept in check, and with a population slightly smaller than California, frivolous lawsuits would clog the courts. If the PM killed some one on the corner of Yonge and Bloor in Toronto, he'd go to jail. You can get an abortion in Canada. There's a fraction of the Fentanyl crisis happening in Canada, and they have waaayy less homeless in the street. Canada has 2 weeks paid vacation AND paid holidays. The tax rate is higher in Canada, but many of the benefits make up the difference. It's cheaper to buy a house in Seattle than Vancouver. You can get a 30 year mortgage in Washington as well, instead of 5 or 10 years. Good and services tend to be cheaper and more plentiful Stateside. Mail service runs on weekends, it hasn't done that in Canada since the 80's. As it stands, I'm in Seattle right now because it isn't the typical US city by far. But I'm thinking when it comes to retiring, I'm putting Canada on the list. Being a dual citizen also makes me eligible for the other Commonwealth (universal health care) countries like Australia.
