Good journalism, it's good to get out and hear what people are thinking. In viewing, it occurs to me that it's hard for white people, and maybe Christians, to understand some Asians. I'm an American, so-called white American, and love Sanatana Dharm, or what most people call Hinduism - that term should soon be forgotten. Anyway, this video shows a variety of people called Indians but whom are vastly different in belief. So much so, they maybe fighting in India but abroad, they stick together. Islam and most Indian philosophies (they are not religions as there is no overarching institution or organization) feed the "devotees" several times a day...it is a part of the culture, shared meals with those who share faith. The Indians, they basically want a better life and will send money home. Muslims will buy land through a trust and then buy more and more. I don't know about Canada, but there are no such cultures in America - well, the Church has bought a lot of land but does nothing to serve people. The Mormons have land and a strong daily schedule, some community churches have very strong programs, but as a whole, The Church has done nothing to make itself appealing and therefore, there's no opposite or equal force. What to do? and as far as assimilating, yes, they should, but to what? Should they start playing hockey, drinking beer, etc. The second gen might. The West has lost it's way and religion isn't the solution but a culture not so decadent would be a good start.

Very well done video & Thank YOU for showcasing the point of view from "real Canadians". As an immigrant who came to this country & fell in love with its culture 40 years ago, it's appalling to see how our beautiful first world country is quickly becoming a gutter. The newcomers these days are the privileged ones. All of us need to speak up, especially those of us immigrants who retain our original accents &/ non-white because our white fellow Canadians are accused of being racist whenever they do (though many could learn to be more eloquent. ie. go back to your country does NOT help)! I see it as my Canadian duty to remind "misbehaving" newcomers the reason they left their country in the first place. ie. You chose Canada for a better life, so why try to change it into the one you left? ie. Help me understand your logic? Why not leave your hate & war at the border; just like normal folks won't bring stinky garbage into their new homes. Life is challenging enough when you uprooted to a new country (especially our unforgiving cold Winter). So, just focus on the positive things in your new country & leave all your miseries behind... ie. Learn to adapt & enjoy your new country. Canada is a great country because of the love & effort of those before you, so now you are the beneficiary. Join the legacy by enhancing this beautiful country & its culture, so you can pass on this century old legacy for later newcomers to enjoy, like you do now. What dignity do you have & what kind of life lessons to your children by bullying your culture & religion into Canada at the expense of other Canadians? This will fracture Canada if everyone does that. Do you want this country to become so fractured & terrible that your descendants have to leave for a better country, like you did? Is that what your religion teaches you? Does it state it's perfectly fine to satisfy all your whims & wishes at the expense of others? Are you striving for Canadians to think badly of your race/culture? Are you being a good ambassador to your race/community/culture/religion? Canadians are so friendly & helpful, if you need help, just ask, please don't demand. Learn the language & it's ok to speak broken/pigeon English with gestures to communicate. No one expects you to be an English scholar; you gain respect for trying. Apply some basic Canadians manners, which goes a long way... Please & Thank You, Smile doesn't cost you anything, besides it's good exercise for your facial muscles. I worked my entire career with the public, I very seldom encounter negative feedback when I do the above. If they get nasty, I tell them that's definitely not the Canadian way to make friends & wish them Good Luck! I also make a point in telling the wealthy ones "Tax Avoidance is legal (I'm more than happy to show them), but Tax Evasion is not! Then reminding them....Canada will be bankrupt eventually if everyone don't pay their fair share of taxes. ie. You may not suffer, but your children/grandchildren will. Worst Case scenario, you didn't get the necessary medical care when you most needed it!!! We should lobby for a mandatory course that all newcomers have to take & PASS a test about Canadian culture & expectations. If they fail, no citizenship for sure! But that would be another hornets nest because our parliament will debate over definition of "Canadian Culture" for decades. Welcome to Canada!😂

Thanks for your video; very well done! Immigrated to Canada 15 years ago, and I, too, experienced the problem with Canadian labour experience to get a job in my field even after make some studies here, but in the end, I made it. Finally what made me stay here was not job or making-money opportunities, it was Canadian values, culture, landscapes, less crowded cities, life quality and quietness. I love this country. I like USA to visit though.

I think your video is well done. I used to love visiting the US especially the west and have fond memories of our travels .Now we don't travel to the US because of the gun violence and so many guns. Most Canadians don't want guns and think gun control should be very strict. I am very content with the way things are in Canada. We have high taxes but we have so many benefits, like maternity leave of 12 months or more. We have free healthcare with no premiums to pay. We have at least 2 government pensions , one we help contribute to and one is totally government funded plus a guarantee supplement if needed . Most people also have a company or union \npension . Most people retire between 60 to 65 years , but its certainly not compulsory. Canada is hoping to have a 4 day work week soon. Our federal government is generous helping with supplements for food etc. We welcome newcomers and we have a very diverse population. I have traveled to different parts of the world and I am very content here.

Enjoyed the video and well done, but a little disagreement. I wouldn't advise moving to Québec. Born and raised there, speak french fluently and had a good life, but it`s not the best deal in the country. Taxes are incredibly high and you get very little quality services in exchange. Unless your french is excellent, you basically can' t live a normal life outside Montreal. Everything will happen in french outside Mtl. Infrastructure in Montreal is third world level and management has been corrupt. Hospitals and schools are bad, for the most part. Consumption taxes are high. Most alcool and weed is sold by the province and very expensive. Gas is expensive. So, despite a decent economy and median salaries, your purchasing power is pretty depleted. Many areas and cities are not very vibrant or interesting, but you can also find many lovely cities around the province where a good life can be had.

The only Blacks allowed to live in Canada are those that are from the Caribbean Islands as part of North America and the Royals as Knights of Canada who are Black Indians as Métis and they are the famous Singers in Toronto and also famous Hollywood Actors. Nobody else is allowed to be here except Black Americans but they never are here in Canada. The only time we ever had African Americans in Canada were the ones using the Underground Railroad to escape Slavery in southern USA from English Slave traders in the South. They were here in Toronto in 1814 and stayed for 13 months and then left again as it is too cold here for Africans and they got help to avoid Andrew Jackson and his slave traders to escape back to Africa to the Ivory Coast. That is the only real Black African History of Canada. There is no other. The people in this video are all Arab Fakers shaped to look African Canadian. We had ?? Jamaicans living here in Toronto as temporary refugees because of mob takeover in Kingston Jamaica. That was done on Judgement Day as they all as he'd. The mob there were Nigerian Scammers who were part of the script to take over the King's Town against the Royals. On occasion there were Lawyers studying here in Toronto from Trinidadand Tobago who are very nice and I met a couple one at the Crown Attorneys Office where I worked and I befriended her and she is Court Justice in Trinidad when needed. And the other is from Tobago and she worked as the lawyer at the law firm where Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams worked as the real lawyer in the TV series Suits filmed in Toronto. It was too dangerous though for her to work with the walking bomb clones of Megan Markle and Sarah Rafferty coming in to the office so she left and I had to take over her role as the Black Lawyer in Suits so by Season 3 I had to take over almost completely but she did a lot of the lawyering scenes and really deserves the credit as a really good lawyer who us real. She won the Emmy and deserved it as the only Female Black Actress to win any Award ever. So congratulations to her as a great Actress. We tried to keep t manipulation of Megan Markle to a minimum but dud include what she was attempting to do off camera to get into Harvard Law to one up Patrick J Adams who she discredited as a Harvard Law Graduate. She was always a problem for the Crown Attorneys in particular him as her target. I was targeted by her as well when studying at UofT and so I know from her behaviour off camera the real nastiness she has as Arab of Dubai toward us as Royals as Canadians. It really is a hatred and jealousy. Unfortunately the Arabs are War Criminals of being unknown largely as part of WWII so their animosity seems to be modern but it really is a very long standing Jealousy of Jesus. Well done Asha. Very informative documentary. I know Blacks live throughout Canada but I never knew some of the history talked about in this video. You presented the information very well. Enjoyed watching you and the CBC reporters.
