The US isn't launching a trade war against anyone. We are closing up shop and are getting ready to take care of our own. There is a massive difference. We cannot be expected to continue supporting other countries economies and defense obligations, when we have 2 generations of working class citizens unable to afford a home or have children. The tariff war won't last. It will get ironed out in negotiations on other matters, probably in the form of tighter border restrictions, correcting some farm goods imbalance, and increasing tariffs on Chinese imports. If this becomes a tariff war this is the thing that may happen, any American factory inside of Mexico's borders will find it pretty inconvenient to do business or put their factories in any other place, making them come back to America, or be put out of business by companies inside of America
