The original inhabitants of Canada are the Indigenous peoples and Inuit communities !! And not people like Tyler Oliveira.They are the invaders!!!!!!

Inuit? Cree? Ojibway? Any of these names sound familiar? These are the original inhabitants of Canada. People have been migrating since time immemorial for one reason or another. Instead of resentment against newer migrants start treating them with respect and empathy. Your forefathers were in the same boat as these Indians not that long ago in the scheme of things. Lighten up already.

Canada is a diverse country, home to people from many different backgrounds. While the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit are the original inhabitants of this land, today, many other communities contribute significantly to the nation’s economy and culture.\n\nFor instance, the Indian diaspora in Canada has brought substantial economic benefits, contributing billions of dollars through various sectors, including technology, healthcare, and education. Each community, whether of Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, African, East Asian, or European descent, plays a vital role in the fabric of Canadian society. It’s crucial to recognize and appreciate the unique contributions of all these groups rather than comparing them in a divisive manner.\n\nHowever, there have been some concerns regarding certain international students and individuals from various backgrounds. A portion of these students may not be enrolled in programs that lead to strong career prospects or that significantly benefit Canada’s economy in the long run. Additionally, issues have been raised about unruly behavior, including playing loud music and creating disturbances, which can affect the peace and quiet of local communities. This behavior isn’t limited to one group; individuals from various communities, including White Canadians, have sometimes contributed to these challenges. Moreover, some students and individuals have brought political issues from their home countries into Canada, leading to protests that disrupt the harmony here.\n\nWhile it’s important to address these concerns, we must do so in a way that promotes understanding and respects the contributions of all communities. Fostering unity is essential in celebrating the multicultural strength of Canada.

I am against irregular immigration due to the economic consequences. But the funny thing about this video is that the whole world knows that Canada was a vast land with the north American natives being the original inhabitants. That's the Canadian identity. It was colonized and taken over by immigrants centuries back. Just because the former immigrants built conveniences at the cost of the exploitation of natural resources and populated the land does not mean that the history will change. The native Americans aside, all the Americans are also immigrants. \nThe majority is against irregular immigration. Yes, it is not sustainable for the society. But the immigration and colonization centuries back was not just irregular but also inhuman. The world will never forget the history.

How ironic that descendants of European settlers who displaced the original inhabitants of Canada, bringing in a new, vastly different culture, should now complain about immigrantion

Feel the pain of those who are now in reserves to show their culture ! Why didn't you people adopt the culture of the indigenous Canadians ? Do you live in a typee ? That's funny.

These policies interfered with the social, economic, cultural and political systems of Indigenous peoples, while also paving the way for European settlement across the country. The segregation of Indigenous peoples in Canada must be understood within the history of contact, doctrines of discovery and conquest, and ongoing settler colonization.\nEuropean Settlement and the “Indian Problem”\n\nHistorically, Indigenous peoples were considered a threat to European settlement and expansion. During the creation of the Numbered Treaties (1871–1921), for example, the federal government made agreements with various First Nations as a means of developing their territories for industrial development and White settlement. While many Indigenous signatories were reluctant to sign the treaties, they eventually did so because of a lack of food (due to the declining bison on the plains) and the vast spread of infectious diseases, among other reasons.\n\nWith settler colonization came the framing of the “Indian Problem” — the prevailing belief that Indigenous peoples needed to be assimilated into Euro-Canadian culture because their traditional ways were considered “uncivilized” and “immoral.” The term “Indian Problem” is attributed to Duncan Campbell Scott of Indian Affairs. In 1918 he said,\n\n“I want to get rid of the Indian problem. I do not think as a matter of fact, that the country ought to continuously protect a class of people who are able to stand alone… Our objective is to continue until there is not a single Indian in Canada that has not been absorbed into the body politic and there is no Indian question, and no Indian Department...”\n\nWhere are the “original Indians of Canada”? \n\nThey were killed and decimated by the Euro-Canadian colonisers. \n\nThese immigrants are your karma. For what you did to “original Indians”. They are now reborn. This is karma. \n\nThey will not treat you as your ancestors treated the indigenous people of this vast land. These Indians are kind. They are also culturally endowed. They are resolute, dynamic , hardworking and fair. \n\nThe Indians may not be “fair” in complexion but would be “fair” to the poor of their adopted country. \n\nCanada ❤ Indians. \n\nKarma always bites back.
