The Syrian refugee crisis sure seems like a distant memory now. Who knew that wave of rather forced-looking empathy would lead to a hog-wild immigration and refugee spree? But at the end of the day... who wants the cheap workers? You're going to have a mixed bag of supporters for that, I reckon.

Being proud of one’s country is good, but discarding another nation’s (especially the one you immigrate to) culture and customs and continuing to follow your own, even considering them better, that’s when the problem begins. When you leave a country for the purpose of immigration, only its memories should stay with you, nothing else

All racist in Toronto and area protest. 100% you wont because your cowards. Yall forgot, didn't you? Maybe you weren't born yet or you have short term memories. Who wants to bet Tyler Olivera will end up in a situation like some other American youtubers pulling ish in other countries?

In the 1600s, North America was almost entirely Native American. Today, they make up a tiny fraction of the population. History has a long memory what goes around comes around.

this is a 180 from the past 5 years, however, it is a false promise. once the immigration cuts are out of recent memory of the voter base, restaurants begin to need customers (11,000 shuttered in 2 years), colleges get surplus nostalgia, and landlords demand their inflated rental income (see economic rent), the government will ramp the numbers up again.

It’s just so lovely how some people insist they own this country, even though their great-great-grandparents were, historically speaking, the original undocumented immigrants. Nothing says 'true Canadian' quite like a conveniently selective memory about history!
And speaking of people who 'established' things: Have you noticed all the homeless folks? They’re overwhelmingly non-brown people. It’s almost baffling—here they are, the supposed descendants of 'pioneers' who’ve had centuries to 'build and settle,' and yet they apparently still couldn't manage to establish anything for themselves. I guess that superior heritage and centuries of head-start didn't quite translate into a sturdy roof, did it? How wonderfully ironic

These are the same pack of bloated bureaucrats that didn't have answers the last couple of times over the years, including Aiesha Zafar. Guess working from home most of the time from your bed only 1 hour a day really has memory loss benefits. Working from home but still charging taxpayers over $2500+ travel expenses every month of the year for every bureaucrat in that panel.

I understand the culture clash; I lived in Abbotsford, BC, moving there in 2005 and staying for nearly 10 years, and the Sikh/Indian population was very prevalent there. They had a reputation of not "joining in" until the third generation and a bad habit of only dealing with other Indians, not even bothering to try and learn English, and being a bit of a nuisance in the SevenOaks Mall. I have memories of them complaining when the employees didn't know any Punjabi, trying to haggle prices in the stores (sometimes aggressively), and harassing female staff. By the third generation they generally had adopted fully into Canadian culture and, oddly enough, the most violent clashes were between first generation and third generation Indians because the first generation was "behaving badly".

I’m live in a tent surrounded by junkies harassed daily by rich immigrants that look at me like dog meat, profiled by security guards in turbans, even the homeless shelters hire them everyday is a slap in the face.our political leaders are more worried about gay pride than division of labour and resources.we need to get our kids off drugs not give them more reasons to quit life.i wish I had video of the entitled Hindu that lectured me on Brit’s in India 70yrs before he was born it’s okay to crap on British colonization but you can’t crap on them for flooding into Europe and North America because that’s racist. What do I get when I go to India? Delhi belly or pickpocketed. Maybe if we send Walmart,Tim hortons, ,McDonald’s to India and go back to mom and pop shops. Ask them how they feel about gay pride than,do they get to drive out the muslims like they did when the Brit’s left? That’s why Pakistani exists,we just expect them to drop their bullshit when they move here.ive slept in a tent next to a war memorial and was routinely woken up by free palatstine and other bullshit protests that those soldiers did not fight for

Hold on there, boy, questionable, immigration policies. Both Canada and the United States were built on immigration, unless you are part of the first nations these types of inflammatory statements, are historically illogical. Countries like the United States of America, Canada, and Australia, New Zealand, and many parts of South America all grew with immigration. People in these countries that have been around a generation or more who decide to pull up the ladder have short memories from where they came. Regarding housing, it is always been and issue in many places and is affected by foreign investors and interest rates. Usually at some point there is a correction, some people win some people lose.

Now you are all taking your hats off to Trudeau, how fickle minded you all are, short memories, i guess that’s why he stood down? And now he is trying to make out like the hero ???

Canadians have memory holed the last 8 years of Trudeau running Canada into the ground Trump is a gift to Trudeau who comes out looking good. We are living in an 80s action movie with a dumb script that all comes together at the end with some low grade cheep chest thumping bravado

Says the guy who froze bank accounts and shut down peaceful protests. Canadians have short memories. This guy is extreme left and dangerous to our democracy. This Liberal government is doing nothing to stop the drugs. Trudeau caused most of the problems. Most Canadians can’t even stand the sound of his voice. He is just inflamed the situation with his rhetoric. Canadians do appreciate the international support.

Do you guys all have memory problems. Trudeau been stealing millions of dollars for years and now he’s Mr canada. Trump is the first to stand up to these corrupt bastards ever.

I effectively spent a chunk of my childhood in America with relatives. I treasured these memories, but now all the feelings of wonder and happiness when thinking of my visits to America have faded. Now I just think of how selfish it was to sabotage Canada. American private equities want to rock our system and buy up all they can and so I am happy we are watching for this. I think Donald did this to try and buy up Canadian companies. This should be made illegal. I am willing to suffer for up to pull the plug on all resources and energy going to America “suddenly” do they have no time to adapt and collectively suffer. We even produce the ingredient you need for your nuclear weapons and otherwise need to get this from Russia. Canada has the ability to help our allies get nuclear weapons to protect against “America as our #1 enemy now”. Will we share too secret info with you when Trump clearly seems to be working with Russia? Putin dream for NATO to break down and now Trump ours that I to action . Trump wants everyone to spend money on military to fuel the American military industrial complex, something each and every huge tech company you have participated. You have essentially been taken over by a global entity that doesn’t care about democracy. We are going to manufacture our own weapons to have zero dependency on America. That makes no sense to buy weapons from the country threatening to invade you. \n\nHow will America feel to be totally alone in the global stage all under the power of one unstable man with multiple personality disorders. Trump things Putin is Americas friend and meanwhile in Russian media America spoken of as enemy number one. Meanwhile, America is 30% full of people with such little education in politics that they do not even know what is considered red flags to democracy. The 20% needed to shift will see the light once the worst man made intentional recession begins and the billionaires buy up 30% of your homes and buildings. Nothing at all will be outside of billionaire and corporate control and now all your data is in AI. how did all American value fall in just one month. Anyone not questioning this now, ai promise you is being blackmailed or is corrupt. \n\nThe bureaucracy prevents dictatorship. Now Trump is removing this. Just listen to project 2025. America is fully on track.

When i was younger i traveled the USA from the middle to east coast at least 20 states and had some great times. I could never live in the USA do to difference way of life. I have seen homes in Southern states that still have outhouses. My 1st time witnessing racism was in the Southern states and was shocked. Have not been back to the USA since Trump became President 1st time and now probably never will because of the politics. Glad I did then many good memories

Well done to everyone who voted for Trump/Vance. Short memories of his first 4 years of chaos. USA, you’re a strange bunch.

All of these comments praising Trudeau have the memory of a goldfish. This guy praises Chinas communist leadership and also spoke highly of Fidel Castro. Let’s not forget the pandemic. Of course the tariffs might hurt in the short term but you fools can’t see the long game. Bring back more jobs to America and import less. Tariffs will allow for tax cuts.

Please know that the vast majority of us in the USA do not want this trade war. Canada is our neighbor and friend. This will not stand. I don’t know how or when but Trump will be removed from office and our memories soon. Democracy will prevail over evil!

The tables have turned my friends... Buckle up, batten down... Trump is loyal to no one... America wasn't suffering for lack before this change of govt... Just look at their arms bill $$$... But Trump is like Freddy from elm street with the slashing hand... Slashing away at friends and foes... Yep, like Jason with the machete ... You short-termed memory voters unleashed the beast upon yourselves and the world... ?? Bravo... But a nation usually gets the leader it deserves, sorry to say.??

As a Canadian i prefer to join USA as Trudeau made our Canada a third world country, our politicians are so stupid and ignorant that they invite SS Nazi veterans in our parliament as heroes spitting on the memory of thousands of Canadians who died to free Europe . Ontario has 4 cities now who declared a hunger emergency, people is so poor they have no food to feed their families

I’m just so sad and that the current american administration is trying so hard to make us hate each other! \n\nWhen things get bad, in a couple of weeks or months for both of us. Trump and his media Will absolutely blame Canada, not just for trying to defend itself, but for all of it. He Will try to make americans hate us so much so he can get something out of it and thats so wrong.\n\nI have so many memories of traveling to the US and meeting great people there. I don’t want it to end and I want to remember that most americans are our friends, good people who don’t wish harm to others.\n\nI really Hope reason and good people Will prevail, I Hope je won’t bête allowed to continue down this path for long, I Hope the congress or anyone will stand up for whats right. Courage!

Y'all opened a huge can of whoop ass today. Your Cheeto Bandito is going to hurt his own people with this mental move. No potash for fertilizer, no nickel to make stainless steel, no lumber to rebuild California, no electricity for New York, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, best hope it's not too hot this summer, no AC for those folks, eventually the 4.3 million barrels of oil a day, in a week gas will be 10 dollars a gallon down there. We'll survive because we are a strong bunch, but you have screwed one of your few friends on earth and we have long, strong memories.\nELBOWS UP

Soon 7 year tribulation and rapture of believers\n\nI am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.\nThe simplicity IN Christ willing none perish\nBELIEVE and put your faith and trust in Him alone. We are all sinners in need of a Saviour.\n\nFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.\n17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.\n18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.\n\nNeither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”\n\nJesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.\n\nFor I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek\nTHE GOSPEL WHICH SAVES \n\nMoreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;\n2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.\n3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;\n4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.\nJesus , the second person in the Godhead, God the Father, God the Son, Jesus, God the Holy Spirit. One God in three persons, the word who was with God and was God ( Jesus) the Christ, who is the eternally existing Son of God, came by blood and water , who is eternal life, fully God , fully man , layed down His Glory was born of the Virgin Mary through the Holy Spirit , lived a perfect , sinless life, shed His sinless blood, to pay the sin debt for the world, He died was buried and rose on the third day \n\nIn whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.\n\nFor by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:\n9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Canadian here, for the past month we've been boycotting US products. Most of our grocery stores now put Canadian flags on Canadian products, and our liquor stores have removed US imports from our shelves. Canadians have a very good memory, the damage has already been done.

This is really sad becuase life after deportations is tough for somebody who was raised in USA. I was taken to the U.S. as a baby and grew up there, but at 19, I was sent back to Mexico—a country I had no memory of, no connections in, and barely spoke the language. My entire family had migrated when I was little, so I was left to figure everything out on my own.\n\nComing back felt like being thrown into an unfamiliar world. I wasn’t fluent in Spanish, had a weird accent, and my mindset was completely different from those who grew up in Mexico. I used to be outgoing and got along with everyone, but now I’ve become more introverted. I struggle to relate to people, have trouble socializing, and often feel like I don’t belong. I feel completely alone, with no one to talk to in person because everyone sees me as an outsider. Many even think I’m a terrible person for coming back after being raised in the very place they dream of moving to.\n\nMaking friends has been challenging too. Many assume that because I grew up in the U.S., I have more money, and friendships often come with the expectation that I’ll pay for everything.\n\nOn top of that, daily life is a struggle. Renting a place is extremely difficult because I don’t have a co-signer from Mexico, and they won’t accept one from the U.S. Getting legal documents like a passport is nearly impossible because my parents haven’t been in the Mexican system for over 19 years, and officials tell me they have no way to prove who I am. Unlike in the U.S., where there are laws against discrimination, I face rejection at every turn here.\n\nThis life is hard. I wish my family had never migrated—or at least had done so after I was old enough to understand the risks and what could happen in the future.

That shit mouth customers's name and address needs to be shared online so that other delivery guys boycott him completely. Atleast until he apologize to that delivery boy publicly somehow. Not everybody like to do delivery jobs to hear such garbage. How do u feel proud by becoming someone's worst memories of the time they were in hardship in their life?

Best for Columbia's president to do the right thing & accept them back now. If not all Americans will view him as dumping his nation's trash at our doorstep, which weakened our national security & had done imessurable damage, upon which I'm certain President Trump will take swift action against him as an example to the other nation's leadership, and you don't wanna be THAT GUY! They cross Trump at their own peril, but the guy's a wizard at destroying people, places, or things, even your ideas if it pleasures him. Both parties are have rediculously long memories & do hold grudges. Case in point, Cuba. They never will allow Cuba to be anything other that a floating rock prison. Please do the right thing & take YOUR people back. We're at least giving him the bennifit of knowing who they are, and what they are BEFORE they can hurt your nation & act accordingly & it'll all be good. You need a little help, just reach out & let us know. We're here to work with you, not against you.

I worked as a nurse in Florida when I first graduated. It was devastating to see how stressed people were about being hospitalized because they knew how their life finances were going to be wiped out. In Contrast Canadian patients only need to concentrate on being well again. \nWomens rights are being rapidly eroded in America. Childbirth is covered in Canada, abortions are legal and women get 1 year of paid maternity leave.\nOur children don’t have to participate in active shooter drills because of our tight gun laws. Our taxes are higher but the social networks are covered by these taxes. \nThe Canadian way of life is generally ,slower and ,I find, more accepting of immigrants, LGBTQ folks, and marginalized people.\nPersonally I moved back to Canada because I missed the change of seasons and the slower pace. I enjoyed my time living in America and have many fond memories of the time I spent there.Moving back to Canada was the right move for me

It's truly heartbreaking to witness how things have unfolded between two countries that were once united. I often listen to the stories my grandparents shared, about the peaceful times when they lived in hawalis, surrounded by neighbors who were Hindus, and how they used to cherish the old crockery they brought from Shampura. Those were simple, yet beautiful days, filled with a kind of peace that seems unimaginable today. \n\nI often dream of visiting those places just to reconnect with those memories, but unfortunately, the divide created by the elites in both countries makes it feel impossible. The seeds of hatred have now grown into a tree, and it feels like that tree is spreading, threatening to become a forest. Our elders still remember how the politicians have always manipulated us to keep us divided, but the younger generation has no idea of the harmony we once shared.\n\nCan you even imagine if we could see peace between India and Pakistan in our lifetime? What a difference that would make, to heal these wounds and return to the unity we once had.\n\n?

As a current international student I can say I am happy for all this changes Canada is doing in the immigration system sadly it was taken advantage by too many indians and people from africa that came here with not the best intentions, I can confidently say if in my case is not possible to stay I will happily return to central america with good memories and good friendships and start working again. thats life

I appreciate the effort these two women are making to educate Canadians about their own country, but! I can see that their focus is strictly the Gen Z crowd, who really need educating, but not by a couple of foreigners who are just trying to make a living. Good for them. I admire your tenacity. But, ladies there are 10 provinces and 3 territories in Canada. Here's something you may not know...Canada is the second largest nation in land mass only after Russia...FYI!\nNow if you had lived in Canada for over 70 years; as some of us have; you would come to have realized that there is NO central Canadian culture. There are 13 different cultures and societies associated through a federation with a central government in Ottawa. Every province is unique in its politics, social programs, even cultural events. Not every province and territory celebrates the same holidays, memorials or statutory holidays.\nPeople in Newfoundland are as different from the rest of Canada as the Scots and Irish are in their homelands. Alberta has cowboys, BC has sailors, Saskatchewan has wheat and Manitoba has the Guess Who and mosquitos. Ontario is just arrogant, Quebec is just Quebec. There is NOTHING Canadian about Quebec. If they had it their way they would have been independent since the 1750s. They don't even like to speak English. They do it out of obligation to the federation. \nThe Maritimes are again, unique unto themselves. They could easily be an independent nation and then their true culture would shine. Why they practically speak a different language. They have been here longer than any of us and are in fact the most unique culture in all of Canada with the exception of one very important factor:\nThe First Nations of Canada. Their culture is as different from 'European' as Indian is from Chinese or Russian and Korean. \nAnd they have been here for thousands of years. Are. you addressing them as well in your broad stroke analysis of my great country?\nYou need to get to know this country from those who have been here long enough to educate YOU.\nWith all due respect I think you over reached your grasp of the situation. You can't learn about a nation just by travelling around and talking to people. You have to live here...for a long time. Good luck and effort though.
