they should've deported all these visa student immigrants...over 5million of them and 0 went to school!!!
then on top of it people are making the same money from 10 years ago while the cost of living goes up and up and up
they mock us because we don't want to have children because we simply cannot afford 2-3k childcare while making 3.5k/month after taxes and rent at 3k/month
while they come here have a free house, free money, pop out kids like crazy because the government will pay for the extra kids
shit...highschool kids cant even get a job these days...the jobs that used to be for kids like tim hortons mcdonalds etc...are literally taken by immigrants as full blown jobs
then there's not even enough jobs for the people here and employers are paying less and less and if you don't like it move along there's 100 illegal immigrants on student visas behind you waiting for that job when they should've been out of this country already!!
Vancouver full of crackheads on fentanyl...Toronto full of heroin addicts walking around like zombies
truck drivers buying cdl's from vending machines...
icing on the cake was a crackhead doing heroin on a bench in broad daylight right on king st w.
we're talking about a main street not a slow street or a side street where nobody sees shit...its fucking KING AND PETER!!
I got so pissed off I tried to confront the dude but he was so out of it he couldn't even function...
now we're talking about a crackhead that if he opens his eyes and he's flipping out and sees you as the cookie monster he'll fucking stab you with a needle
what if it has hiv? or some other messed up disease? what if its a kid?
WHAT IF IT'S YOU?
what will it take for people to finally care about the issues in the community?!?
crackhead immigrant? deported...
cdl's? 10mil government trust fund to either run your own truck or to open a company...this would end all of these bankruptcy runaways whenever shit happens...
student WORK visas? revoke them all...if they can't afford to pay for their international studies they have no business being an international student...
first you study...get your degree once COMPLETED if you want to come back because you liked Canada apply from OUTSIDE Canada for a visa/pr.
we don't need people working 10 years saving up to study living in a condo bedroom like 6 people in there driving up the cost of living for everyone else then fucking off when shit gets tough...

He spoke about a lot more than fentanyl ...but indeed that was the running theme for border security....I don't think anyone thought fentanyl was being funneled in serious amounts from the northern borders...he's really pointing out the amount of USA made products that aren't purchased by Canada, etc...Canada doesn't really strike me as an issue, I couldn't say what truly prompted this trade war...

Fentanyl wasn’t the only issue. Other issue is matching the Tariffs we already and have been receiving from Canada. CNN and other legacy media outlets need to ask these countries if they’ve offered to eliminate there Tariffs and any debt accrued from Tariffs.

The fentanyl issue from Canada is another smokescreen. Trump could care less about anyone who dies in the states. If he cared about the people, he wouldn´t be working behind the scenes to invite Russia to take over the USA.

Canada has easy fix, do what Trump ask and stop fentanyl and illegal aliens=no more tariffs. Mexico a little more complex, in addition to the above issues add in factories being built and in mexican for sub human labor costs and making top profits in America.

Mr. Prime Minister I’m a proud Canadian. I know that we are ethical and we have integrity. We complied with the fentanyl issue, but this is not about fentanyl, it’s about something more. Perhaps he wants to do to Canada what Putin did to Ukraine, without the military force, but with the monetary force.

Please keep in mind, that all the issues we have in Canada are because of Trudeau. He's been in power for almost a decade. The widespread drug abuse and crime is because of him being weak on policy and handing out drugs like candy paid by tax payers. More people died from fentanyl in Canada than our soldiers in WWII. That is all on his watch. He is only making these changes because of Trump. What kind of a leader is Trudeau to only become Canada first when a person from outside the country threatens him? He is a horrible leader and a traitor to the Citizens and the Country we call Canada. Regardless of what his speech is, he cannot be trusted with his globalist agenda. He has stepped down (thank goodness!!) and Canada is looking forward to having Pierre Poilievre as our PM.

I support this more than Trump, and I'm sure the majority of Americans agree at this point.\n\nI can't stand the hypocrisy on immigration though. Canada has us as a buffer from a country desperate to get in, and they are still allowed to have very secure borders without getting flack.\n\nWhen America just doesn't want the faucet of immigration on full blast, we are the bad guys.\n\nThe Fentanyl excuse is absurd when it comes to Canada and the tariffs. It's a legitimate concern from the southern border. The northern border has never been an issue...

Well Justin, after listening to you smug listing of all the measures you’ve taken to reduce fentanyl traffic as well as “other” traffic and implemented US requests for cleaning up border issues. I ask: “Had the US not made these requests, would you have done the neighbourly thing and cared enough for your neighbour to have monitored what criminals in your country were up to? It appears you had to be reminded of your duties inherent in the ‘office of being a good neighbour’.\nYou are STILL weak and the mouthpiece of ‘controlling interests’ in Europe who in the end will toss you out on the street like some sucked dry orange and forget your fawning presence ever existed. Man up and at least try to leave an honourable legacy for Canadians. The BOC will then be able to fulfil its mission of printing its own money without bringing Canada into the slave-pit of European Banksters.

Donald Trump, as a U.S. President, was not sincere. During his campaign, he falsely claimed that people in the U.S. eat cats and dogs, a statement that has no truth to it. After becoming president, he continued to use the issue of fentanyl as a justification for imposing tariffs on Canada. His actions suggest that he is not genuinely interested in moving the country forward but rather using tariffs as an excuse, which could ultimately harm Americans

I think we have cheaper alternatives in the US. How about 50%. As long as we have 250% tariffs on American goods, I say keep going. We need reciprocal trade and need to fix the border issues also. We lose so many to the fentanyl. Canada needs to make its military contributions also. We don’t need the bs words from this bs guy. Some better leadership can still fix this but when I hear boycotts, I start checking labels also.

I am fearful for what Trump wants to do here. We should never be provoking our border countries. Seems like an act of war. Also, guaranteed we need to work on addiction issues in our own country. Fentanyl doesn’t just come from borders. And I am sure Canada hasn’t enough crossing from their borders that is hurting us! F T rump!

canada has no point in putting any more money into their border on the false issue of fentanyl. they should scrap the whole deal, no point in appeasement. it be better to use that money for negotiations later.

WHy was Trudeau waiting for Trump to tell him to stop sending Fentanyl? US Shoudl launch military attacks on Canada's drug lord and middlemen who are doing this? Impose sanctios n canada and issue arrest warrants for Trudeau and his cabinet.

This is Trump's version of The Wizard of Oz. Fentanyl was NEVER the issue. Why would an administration BENT on ruining federal workers' livelihood, cutting off food to the global poor via cruel reductions in USAid, gutting Medicaid show ANY concern for drug-related deaths?\n\nAstute author Naomi Klein (from Canada) coined the terminology of The Shock Doctrine. THAT is what's being done, but this time, instead of it being aimed at Middle East nations, it is hitting the U.S and its neighbors.\n\nShame on the fools pretending to be leaders, fools that our supreme court should have prevented from EVER holding office. SHAME!

I voted for Trump and Im still proud it. However, I stand with Canada on this issue so long as Canada doesn't take advantage of the United States and does everything in it's power to stop illegals and fentanyl from crossing the border.

I'm usually reasonable enough to realize that while I may disagree with many policy decisions, there's usually a relatively coherent line of thought to back said actions up. The problem here is that there’s no clear logic behind using tariffs as a tool to curb fentanyl trafficking or immigration. I'm not going to speak on the issue of immigration at the Canadian border because there simply is none. Yes, there are illegals from Canada, but almost 100% of them are from overstaying visas rather than crossing the border unlawfully. So let's talk about fentanyl. \n\nMost fentanyl in the US originates from China, often in precursor form, and is then processed in Mexico before being smuggled into the states. But it's typically trafficked in small, high potency quantities, often hidden in legitimate shipments or through mail, and only on very rare occasions is it being brought in by individuals crossing the border. It has _never_ been documented to have shipped in as part of large scale commercial imports, so a 25% tariff on legal trade with Canada and Mexico doesn’t directly target the black market supply chain at all.\n\nIf we take Trump’s reasoning at face value, the argument seems to be that he wants to exert economic pressure on Mexico and Canada as a means of having them crack down harder on drug trafficking networks. But the issue is that fentanyl simply isn’t coming in through mass import channels, so all this looks like is a punitive measure without a clear mechanism to actually achieve its stated goal. And the implications? Drastically higher costs for consumers in the US, Canada, and Mexico, with absolutely nothing to show for it.

Canada doesn't get it. This wasnt about fentanyl or any other alleged issue. The point is to make them grovel.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
He's totally contradictory, he says the border has been great yet he's spending a billion making it better. Clearly a major issue is fentanyl and how many Americans are affected. Anyhow hasn't he gone yet? Canada I know you want someone better than this guy.

Doug Ford or Trudeau’s reciprocal actions against the U.S. are secondary to me as a Canadian. For days, they’ve been misleading the public with talk of imposing tariffs on U.S. goods or cutting power supply, but that’s not the real issue.
\n
\nWhat truly matters is how our government is actively mitigating the economic impact. Are they securing new markets? Have they repaired strained relations with China, which were damaged in 2021 over the arrest of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou to appease the U.S.? Are we expanding oil exports to Japan, India, or China? Have we dispatched trade delegations worldwide to open new opportunities?
\n
\nWrong move. Canada doesn't have a functioning government. There is no mandate. The Prime Minister has resigned. Parliament is not in session. There is no reason to escalate. The focus should be on finding a solution the root cause of why the tariff was put in place over the border and fentanyl.
\n
\nIf not, then all these moves by Ford or Trudeau are meaningless—just political maneuvering to distract Canadians from the real problem.

Canadian here....appreciate JT's message, and stand by him in this situation, but sadly know that our long friendly relationship with the USA does not matter at all to this administration. JT's message does not matter to that administration, or their MAGA followers. Fentanyl from Canada isn't a real issue - in fact, significantly more comes into Canada from the USA, along with guns, than the other way around - but that fact doesn't matter at all to the administration or their MAGA followers. Facts and logic are not involved in this. Canadians are quiet and peaceful people who are proud of their country, and we are coming together over this shared cause. We will weather this and be stronger as a country for it.

I'm on Canada's side. Trump is felon/mobster that loves dictators.. Fentanyl was never a issue, that was just a excuse to do Putin's bidding..

Trudeau has resigned, and soon he is leaving. So what will be his last gift?\nHe is leaving the coming government in an economic fight of retaliation. \ninstead of leaving them on a negotiation table on how to resolve the illegal immigrants problem and fight against fentanyl drugs. \nI would prefer to find solutions on these two issues because there won't be any tarrif or money involved. but if they are starting a fight with Trump. It might involve a lot of things.\nJust look at how he frozen the federal government funds, so pick up a retaliation fight and see where it will end. \nLearn from the Colombian President. What do you have to lose? \nI FORESEE CANADA AND MEXICO ECONOMIES COLLAPSING. YOU WILL TELL ME I WAS RIGHT. DON'T FIGHT TRUMP WITH STUPIDITY OF RETALIATION.

I don't think the average viewer knows why the US is doing this. They're trying to combat illegal immigration and fentanyl as well as Mexican compliance with the drug cartels.\n\nThe reason tariffs are being used is because America is in a very powerful position when it comes to trade. The american economy doesn't rely on trade like Canada (67%), Mexico (73%) and China (37%). American trade accounts for only 24% of its massive GDP. if you removed all trade from america, it would still have larger economical output than china, mexico and canada COMBINED. yes. Combined. \n\nFurthermore, Canadian trade with america account for almost 80% of all trade in canada. A 25% increase would be absolutely devastating to canada. In america its about 13% so a 25% increase would cost more but it wont have any significant impact.\n\nNo doubt this tarrif war will cause far more problems for canada mexico and china than america. By a LOT. \n\nI dont think america is being selfish either. China does nothing to protect america from sending precursor chemicals to america to manufacture fentanyl. Canada facilitates illegal immigration and fentanyl into america with no accountability. And mexico is illegal immigrants by the MILLIONS and is literally working with the drug cartels. If they sort out those issues the trade war ends. \n\nI think america has every right to go to war to protect its sovereignty and its people.

Trump doesn't accept calls from Canada ofc because this is not about border security nor the 1% fentanyl going into the US. It is about being hawkish and potentially annexation of Canada in the far future. \nThese tariffs make way more sense against Mexico, considering the amount of border issues and fentanyl infiltrating in the US, but tariffs against Canada is just BS.

Yea I don’t believe it’s the fentanyl that’s the issue Trump has, I believe it’s the business with China. China is using the benefit of both of these countries free trade agreement and Trump is punishing Canada and Mexico for it.

Trudeau and the NDP-Libs have left Canada a weakened, vulnerable and unproductive country, on the verge of economic disaster. This is all on Trudeau!\n\nWe have no leader, and the individual leading “Team Canada”, won’t be around to fulfil the commitments.\n\nThis is a group of leadership Premiers, trying but without any authority. \n\nWe have no working Parliament. \n\nAnd, they have completely ignored the issues laid before them, not just recently but for years. The border security issues (including the ports), the immigration issues, the fentanyl issues, the military issues…. overridden by woke waste.\n\nThey’ve destroyed our entire economy to reduce our supposed 2% responsibility for climate change. But we have done nothing to reduce or eliminate for our supposed 2% fentanyl responsibility. \n\nWe need Trudeau gone, Parliament restored, and an election called!

trump lies to his nation and others nations too. fentanyl is not even a real issue. theres like 1 percent of usa fentanyl coming from canada. i hope americans will get rid of him. this is an unjustified tariff against an ally country and its unacceptable. usa are responsible to take care of their own borders in the first place.

Mexico isn't your backyard-it's your trade partner.\nThis relationship isn't charity; it's mutually beneficial. Blaming Mexico for substance use issues ignores your responsibility as the largest demand drivers. Treat Mexico like a partner, not an incompetent employee, and take responsibility for your share of the problem. Blaming Mexico for the fentanyl issue is like an alcoholic blaming the bottle shop, even junior is an coke addict Claudia Sheinbaum has more balls than Donald Trump. It's about time someone stood up to n Trump and promised him a dose of his own medicine. Well done Mexico. Trump claims to be a gifted negotiator, but all he is is a self-glorifying bully. Claudia Sheinbaum has more balls than\nDonald\nTrump. But it is not Mexico and Canada who has a drug problem. It is America:) Americans don't realize how much they have advanced and grown, and know nothing of their marvelous culture. My president is an award winning environmental scientist with MULTIPLE degrees. We got it right!\nViva Mexico ??
