just passed the test right now, and the very first thing I wanted to do—before even telling my family—was to leave this comment. I watched the video only once, from the beginning up to question 215. One time only—yes, one time only. Then I took the test, and on my first attempt I passed with 15 correct answers out of 20. I honestly can’t believe it. I didn’t realize how much I knew until I was sitting there answering the questions. About 50% of them came directly from the first 215 questions in the video. I am truly, deeply grateful to everyone who worked on this video. It’s not just good—it’s amazing. I am Native American. At college, I took a welding course just to break the monotony of classes as I was raised using my hands. This immigrant male, asked the rest of the class "why is she here?". I asked if he had a problem with me and he looked at the class to tell me not to speak to him. No one said a word but looked between us in silence. I asked him again, "do you have an issue with me being here?". Again he told the rest of the Caucasian men to tell me to stop speaking to him. I said if you have a problem with me, let's step outside and one of us will walk back in. You can't accept that a Native female is in this class, pack your family up and go home. Don't think of the state's because that's mine too. The teacher walked in and he could see and sense the tension in the room. He removed the immigrant and they went out of the room. A few minutes later the instructor came in and looked at me and said he'll be taking a class with no females. His country doesn't allow females an education yet alone a trade. You're welcome to stay. I have no intention to leave, was my comment back. I'm here to learn. Decades later, I'm driving home from northeastern Quebec and on the 401 is a gas/food stop. My child and I were passed by 4 luxury sports cars. They pulled into this stop and parked across all the handicapped parking spots. Bumper to bumper across the spots. We went in and met them as we came out and met a truck driver of the same nationality. He asked "how is Canada treating you?". They smiled and said "look", motioning to their silk suits. Another pointed to their cars. And another said "they treat us like kings'!". The fourth said "Canadians are easy to play! Cowards!!" A few days later, I'm at Walmart and present my tax exempt (we pay 5% tax) but the cashier looks at it and states "you all think your so special!!" Your paying the tax like everyone else! A customer behind me yelled for management loudly. When management showed, I didn't say a word because it was the customers behind and on the side of me with complaints of the rudeness of the cashier. She was removed and manager took over transactions. Not just mine but those after me. There was another incident with my child. An immigrant (can tell by the long tunic) was trying to lure my daughter away from me. I put her in a cart and requested help from a young employee who wanted me to write a book before calling security. Another employee came over and called security immediately. By the time they found the man, he had exited the store and got into a taxi. A few weeks later at an arena where youth hockey practice was taking place, the same scenario was happening. A man in a tunic was trying to lure children away and when caught, jumped into a taxi and left the scene. To attack an adult who can defend themselves is one thing but to go after children is another. I say stricter policy on crimes are needed.

I hope the Prime minister reads these comments. If he doesn't then let others from around Canada read these messages and pass them on to everyone in Canada until it reaches every leader in Canada. Prime Minister Trudeau and all those who lead our provinces. When you come out to talk to all the Canadian, the Americans and all of our allies around the world. Please keep reminding President Trump. That Canada is still not and will never be for sale, no matter what. And don't remind him once. Keep telling him that everything you go on camera. I just love it,,, i mean i just love it when we get a reality check,, i have been to 20 countries for studies, for work and as a toursit , i didnt face any visa rejection (maybe bcos my documents and funds were good) but boy o boy i just saw the behaviour of mostly hindi belt guys who go to Visa free countries like malaysia, bali, thailand and what horrible behaviour, they will spit around, drink pass lewid comments on foreigners and local ladies, try to bargain it was such an embarrassment, there were people chanting religious slogans near burj khalifa making reels, recently i visited georgia and some gujrati family was asking for seperate vegetarian cooked meals in an authentic georgian restaurant,, they were talking like they owned that place.\n\nI left india for studies in 2000 and came back in 2013, but during this time the indians were well behaved abroad and followed the rules,, maybe post smartphone era and the so called Godi media all have got a false feeling that we have become some vishwaguru just look at our comments on any videos on youtube instagram which are critical of us.\nThere was a news on one Lapdog Godi channel that Trump is crying infront of our PM that we help him in LA fires,, such shameless and bigoted lies will make any dimwit person think we are the greatest,\nIts high time we should start retrospecting our online as well as social behaviour.

I have seen many indian officials in india and almost all of them are not quick to anger. Even if they are bad mouthed or accosted . That is level of their training. \n\n Even if they are corrupt, they will not loose cool. They will smile all along. He would have asked for correction and lady who is already in distress due to fathers passing, must have said something wrong which might be reflective of her experiences when she was indian citizen. Getting a reference to a specialist is not an issue and I believe this may be a doctor specific issue. If your GP does not refer you, ER will take care of you. The issue with referrals is the triage system that may result in a longer wait to see the specialist. This is in contrast to the US where one can see a specialist very quickly, if one has insurance. In Canada, every citizen and legal resident has the ability to receive medical care as covered by the provincial medical systems which differs from province to province. Many doctors are now offering online communication with your GP and specialist. Your finance comments are inaccurate. There are 5 nation wide banks but there are also nation wide credit unions and provincial banks which in my opinion these tend to offer better service than the big 5 (exclude National Bank, which is big bank but more investment focused). Cell carrier monopolies is a real issue. Cell carriers are recently offering unlimited data, no long distance to the US, etc. Other countries have a definite advantage here. The government has enabled conditions for a new carrier a few times but eventually, these smaller carriers get swallowed up by the big national carriers. Multi-dwelling properties have property managers paid to look after the properties regardless of who owns it. While on the average, foreign investment may not seem to contribute to property prices, this is not the case when looking a the local sectors of the big two - Toronto and Vancouver. There was a case in Vancouver where a property with a shack sold for over $1MM. This is not because the house price was unrealistic, but because of the property location and perceived property value. Many of these foreign owned single family investment properties remain empty most of the year. Another big issue in many Canadian municipalities is the lack of building code enforcement. The laws are in place but not always enforced.

From your comments, i hear that you feel safe because your health insurance is purchased through your employer. How safe is your health care if you loose your job? In Canada, we still get health care. Our heath care is covered through our taxes. Like road upkeep, schools etc.. Even our ambulace care cost will be covered, if you can not afford it. But, what happens when you reach retirement? Is your health care free? I understand people in the US work way passed retirement age just to have health care. So unfair.

comment section displays a pretty jingoistic lack of compasion or humanity for the situation, full of lots of naive and easy to say comments for people who very likley have no clue about what situation such people left and what nightmares they have been though along the way....like imagine making it to the us border all the way from venazuela, and i wanna say us foreign policy in the region, along with our economic and political impact makes this whole situation so complicated, there often arent paths for things like immigration or asylum for these groups in many of the countries they pass through, or they get held up in camps for processing that become bizarre legal limbos

there are dozens of flaws in Canada's immigration system. I am surprised to see that a person who has not spent a single minute in Canada enters the country as a permanent resident . has not paid a single dollar in taxes enters as a permanent resident. has not played his part in Canada's society and doesn't know fuck about Canada enters as a permanent resident of Canada. it does not surprise me to see people commenting about residents living in Canada do not speak English. \n \nI will give an example of the UK here which is far more developed than Canada and have very high standards. first of all, no one can enter the UK as a permanent resident of the UK. even if their partner is British, they will still come to the UK on a visa. depending on how much their British partner earns, it will take 5 to 10 years for them to settle in the UK, provided they pass the residency test in the UK(which Canada does not ask for whether you are in Canada applying for a PNP or PR or you come directly from another part of the world). a person who gets in the UK as a student spends minimum 7 years, if he is not married to a British /EU national to get a PR, most spend 10 for a UK PR(known as ILR in the UK) provided they pass the test for English and life in the UK (citizenship test). in return, the UK offers to its residents what no other nation offers. canada is giving away residencies as if its a leaflet. it's easier to get a Canadian residency than it is to extend a skilled visa in the UK. I have lived in Canada and felt that standard of living in canada is not very high as compared to the UK. so if Canada offers easy residency to people, it is only because they also know they are not giving away something precious :)
