I am from Venezuela, we came in 1980, it took my parents 3 years to receive our green cards, my father used an attorney, we stood in line at the immigration office over and over multiple appointments, in regards to the lady saying she is from Venezuela my heart is with her because how bad Venezuela has become, but please everyone remember that we meaning US has been allowing them to come in this way, we been allowing it, it is completely wrong to do that, will you invite someone to your house unconditionally? No!!! Its by special invitation only!! Close the border and send everyone back where they came from, and this will stop!!!!!! It's really sad to see this ..these kids don't come from great financial backgrounds ..and looting them for 20 to 25 lakhs is like a crime. It's like more educated way to loot someone. I went on an Office visit to Toronto back in 2013 when basement costed around 700 to 800 CAD, the student's situation wasn't that grave. One could see students, but not many. Mostly were working people back then. This govt Official you interviewed needs to take his job more seriously. 20-30 lakhs could be more than life savings for some families here in India.
