We knew first hand that this was someone who should never be considered for leadership. We tried to warn the world in 2016. The repercussions of his turbulent presidency divided America and rattled New York City beyond imagination. Remember how we were jolted by crisis in early 2020, as a virus swept the world. We lived with Donald Trump’s bombastic behavior every day on the national stage, and we suffered as we saw our neighbors piling up in body bags. The man who was supposed to protect this country put it in peril, because of his recklessness and impulsiveness. It was like an abusive father ruling the family by fear and violent behavior. That was the consequence of New York’s warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse. Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we can’t let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously. So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke — right here in the beating heart of New York — to the rest of America: This is our last chance. Democracy won’t survive the return of a wannabe dictator. And it won’t overcome evil if we are divided. So what do we do about it? I know I’m preaching to the choir here. What we’re doing today is valuable, but we have to take today into tomorrow – take it outside these walls. We have to reach out to the half of our country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House. They’re not stupid, and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice. Our future doesn’t just depend on us. It depends on them. Let’s reach out to Trump’s followers with respect. Let’s not talk about “democracy.” “Democracy” may be our holy grail, but to others it is just a word, a concept, and in their embrace of Trump, they’ve already turned their backs on it. Let’s talk about right and wrong. Let’s talk about humanity. Let’s talk about kindness. Security for our world. Safety for our families. Decency. Let’s welcome them back. We won’t get them all, but we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump, and fulfill the mission of this “Stop Trump Summit.””

I have been watching you for a long time. And there is always a point you are not addressing in most of what I have heard. You will probably laugh at what I am about to say but please hear me out. The progressives running the policy’s do not only hate America for whatever reason, they hate God. They might not say that and even rebuke anyone who thinks that. I’m not going to get into that, it’s a whole Nother subject, but Jesus said those that hate good or worship being a false Jesus, even though they think they’re worshiping the true God. They are not, and so therefore they are what the Bible says, our worshiping a false God, who is the god of this world who was Satan. Now after saying that I would say that you can see that in their action. Anyone who wants to debate what’s going on in New York City on the side of correcting the problem has a point of view. But the ones that wanna keep these loss in place cannot justify any of their actions in debate that makes sense. They are liars and are following the father of lies and that’s all there is to it. The problem will not be fixed in your city until you having a big turnaround of leadership. People who are accountable to this constituents. People who love this country, not hated. Only a satanic group could hate this country that gives them every opportunity they could ask for. If you asked them, would they want to live in any of the other countries in the world they won’t answer you they will get part from the question and they will call you a miss information White supremacist or if you’re black a uncle Tom. They have an answer for anything good because their father is no other than evil. They get their playbook from evil. They can’t stand to be around any success. And one last thought. Joe Biden was ruled by evil. He opened the border on purpose to destroy this country at the same time. He was making millions from our adversaries. His actions have proven it over and over, but yet he’s not persecuted for the crime he committed. After you have a president that has destroyed America in so many ways. And the people that hate America love him. But he is gone now so they have to fight harder against Trump.\n Don’t have to mention any of the religious stuff in any of your segments, but at least keep that in mind so you have a clear picture and keep up the good work.

Why doesn't the New York City voters that want their city safe protest at the governor's mansion? There is power in numbers and it just seems like you would see a difference.

I am a senior and live in Vancouver, BC and my son who has dual citizenship lives in Seattle, WA. His wife and him will move back to Canada when he retires. I visit Seattle and enjoy going there. The shopping is great fun especially with all the big store headquarters being there and we can't forget Trader Joe's. I don't drink alcohol anymore, but the cost, volume and availability is crazy. He also lived in New York and lived a train ride away to the suburbs (great system) and was a lovely area to raise a family. Visited NYC and loved it. I've lived in Montreal and just love big cities. In saying all that, I think were all basically the same, however I could never permamentally live in the US. I can no longer afford the outrageous travel health insurance to travel to the USA because of my age and health issues. I have a primary doctor and four specialists that I see on a regular basis, waiting for a hip replacement and none has cost me a cent. Oh yes, I get free dental care. I wouldn't move to the states, but would sure like to visit again. Politics is a whole other subject.

You want to live in Toronto, the third largest city in North America on average salary? I think that’s an unrealistic expectation when you compare the rent to cities like New York and Miami. I think given its current size and growth trajectory, Toronto is still on the affordable size and it will get much more expensive in the future. I visited Toronto and the GTA area, all you can see is new construction, businesses packed with people. May be Canada bit more than it could chew and the economy has not grown since COVID making inflation pinch even more. My only problem was due to the rapid expansion, the city seemed to lack a soul which comes through organic growth. All I could see was broad highways, residential areas packed with housed and large shopping complexes.

I find it so amusing that Canadians always have to preface everything with self righteous boasting about how multicultural they are, how their city has a world class this and that—in this case—film festival etc. etc. I have never been anywhere in Europe for example where first anyone even mentions Canada much except to say that there are a lot of trees. And no one in real cities with a culture like Paris, Madrid, Berlin harp on how world class they are or how multicultural they are. Also, in terms of immigration, give me a break—you have obviously not travelled anywhere—go to Berlin, Paris, New York etc. to see people from all over the world. Canadians have been told through the internal propaganda that Canada is the best country in the world—but it’s not.

Yes, the Big Apple is not representative of America (I’d actually say, it is a lot more European than American - and I am saying that as a European who has lived in Manhattan for a year), but upstate New York is completely different from the city and much more like other U.S. states. I have lived in New Jersey near Philadelphia, in Louisville, KY and Manhattan for a year each at the end of the eighties, the mid-nineties and from 1999-2000 and I can definitely say that the immense difference of all the posh and rich vs. all the downtrodden and poverty-stricken has really shocked me. You hardly see these extremes here in Europe - ever!

Look at Texas and see how they deal with social matters. They are becoming alternative to states such as California and New York. The city should be a magnet to promissing and well-educated people, not losers. Sorry, if I hurt you with this words, but the truth must be outspoken. What you mentioned about in being in your 20s and trying to follow Bill Shatner down to Hollywood - very few actors strike the big time and that’s after a lot of work and if you’re ever on strike, your income wouldn’t last very long! Now you can be an independent content creator and reach more people than through the traditional path of moving to New York to get established in Broadway and then going to Los Angeles and hoping someone notices you and recruits you to a studio. About Toronto, it was once a gateway towards becoming Canadian. Not so much anymore. As a city it has all kinds of things to see, do, eat and be entertained yet its very expensive! I lived in Canada from 1983 to 2016 after I left the US Air Force in '83. I was born in the SF Bay area, and grew up there in the Hippie peace love/Viet Nam era in the 60's and 70's. I now live in Seattle. As we have travelled to San Fran, New Orleans, Nashville, Miami, Vancouver (Canada) and New York in the last 6 months, I kinda have a pretty good idea how it was on both sides of the border way back then, as well as right now. We have 2 rental homes, and I STILL have to work until I'm 70 to retire without worrying about losing it all because of the the high cost of health care. Your observation of race/political/religion relations are naive at best, you need to travel the country first hand to see it. Canada has it's far share of right wing crazies as well. They're mostly not armed, and most fights are 5 minute shouting matches. I know this because I work on construction sites. Canada doesn't have commercials for pharma or ambulance chasers. Because big pharma is kept in check, and with a population slightly smaller than California, frivolous lawsuits would clog the courts. If the PM killed some one on the corner of Yonge and Bloor in Toronto, he'd go to jail. You can get an abortion in Canada. There's a fraction of the Fentanyl crisis happening in Canada, and they have waaayy less homeless in the street. Canada has 2 weeks paid vacation AND paid holidays. The tax rate is higher in Canada, but many of the benefits make up the difference. It's cheaper to buy a house in Seattle than Vancouver. You can get a 30 year mortgage in Washington as well, instead of 5 or 10 years. Good and services tend to be cheaper and more plentiful Stateside. Mail service runs on weekends, it hasn't done that in Canada since the 80's. As it stands, I'm in Seattle right now because it isn't the typical US city by far. But I'm thinking when it comes to retiring, I'm putting Canada on the list. Being a dual citizen also makes me eligible for the other Commonwealth (universal health care) countries like Australia.

There was a time I would have. My father and Grandfather grew up in New York city as children and spoke highly of the States. Since 2016 I would seriously not consider living there. The gun violence that occurs their has gotten to the point that it has to be especially eggregious before it makes the news. The cavalier attitude towards guns and gun saftey is disturbing even from your politicians. it would be a recipe for loosing your privalege to own a firearm in Canada if you did what many of us see americans do with their guns. Open carry. Not allowed. Concealed carry. Not allowed. There are courses you need to take and pass on firearm saftey and gun use here, before you are given the privaledge of owning a firearm. Those firearms need to be stored properly or carried in cases at all times when not in use \n\nThat being said I have done those courses and I own guns. Rifles to be precise and a shot gun I use for hunting food. Pistols are not easy to get here and you can only use them on a range. The only people legally carrying pistols in public are the police.\n\nHealthcare is fine if you are young and healthy, with a job. No, I wouldn’t. I just moved from Vancouver to London, uk. Lots of people asked why I didn’t move to New York. Main reason is health care. I’m a self employed hairstylist and no one is providing health care for me. Second is gun violence in general, mass shootings are a big issue, just because it hasn’t happened in your small city, doesn’t mean it won’t. Mass shootings are just the most extreme version of gun violence. I don’t want the people walking down the street next to me to possibly be carrying a gun on them. That is truly terrifying to me. Third is that politics are so extreme and so prevalent. Lastly the fact that women’s rights are being taken away. I absolutely cannot support a country with very little benefits and aid for those who cannot afford to have a child, that then makes them have a child. That’s the briefest way I can explain my feelings, I could go on and on, but I’ll leave it at that. \n\nThe only benefit I see in moving to the us from Canada is for certain opportunities, and those come in big cities, so there’s absolutely no point in moving to then live in a small city. \n\nI appreciate that you’re being introspective as you go through the video. Unfortunately gun violence is a massive one for many Canadians, even when they travel to the us. Now that I’m in London, I hear a lot of the same sentiments being mirrored by the Brits. No one wants to lose their health and safety just to move to the us. Hi! Great video and generally balanced in terms of the ideas expressed. Having lived in Canada for a very long time, I have to say that it's a good place to be but the two glaring problems are: 1- the healthcare system is broken. It's very hard to see a doctor and even harder to see a specialist. We pay a lot of taxes and at the end of the day we don't get the services that we paid for. I'd rather pay out of pocket but get to see a doctor when I need one. 2- Canada is a Nordic country so you'd better like winter when living here. By contrast in the US you have a variety of climates so easier to find something that works for you. The cost of living is, I agree, very high in Canada, but it all depends. If you compare it to living in California or New York City, I'd say that our cost of living is cheaper. But in the US you do have the choice to live in a more affordable mid-size city, while in Canada options are much more limited (big cities only include Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary).

When I see foreigners talk about America, I always see them talk about LA and New York City for price comparisons like those aren't one of the most expensive places to live in the world. Even compared to major cities in the other 48 states aren't near as high as those places.

As a dual citizen, there are so many things that's incorrect about this video. First of all, to make it an apples to apples comparison, I see no attempt to adjust the comparison by population. There is no point comparing Montreal (where I have lived) vs. Columbus, Ohio. Montreal is roughly 1.7 million people or 4 million metro. The correct comparison would be something like Boston. Similarly, there is no point comparing Montreal vs. LA in terms of geographical spread when LA is more than three times the size. So of course your commute will be different.\n\nComparing Montreal to Boston for example, Boston is very very compact. Yes, Montreal does have better food options than Columbus or your random rural suburbs. It doesn't come even close to similarly sized American cities. It's the same reason for example that one doesn't compare San Francisco for example, against London, Ontario. It's a pointless comparison.\n\nAdditionally, the claim that the worst part of Canada is better than the best part of America is laugahble. There is no truly terrible neighborhoods in Canada compared to American ones (where you can tell if you're in a bad neighborhood), but Canadians can't even imagine the wealth and prestige of the best parts of America, let alone compare with it. The wealthiest don't live in downtown New York (where they maintain their work residence), they live in Montauk. They don't live in downtown Boston, they live in Newton or Weston. The most affluent parts of Canada like Bridle Path/Rosedale (Toronto), Westmount (Montreal) or North Vancouver would look like abject poverty by comparison.\n\nOh, let's not also forget other factors for being in the US. The median household income in Canada is $67,000 Canadian. The median for the US is $69,000 US. The typical American is far wealthier than the typical Canadian. Anybody who tried to buy any goods (or services) in Canada and compared their choices in the US, it's not remotely comparable. Of course, the usual, taxes.

The bitter truth must be accepted. Without any exaggeration. Completely impartial. I have to say that I didn't see a single piece of garbage in any of the other country's videos to convince myself. Without exaggeration, in all Canadian cities, you will find a piece of trash or garbage on the ground less than every hundred meters. It must have an important reason. I do not know. But this is a bitter truth. You can try. This country should be brought closer to its exaggerated claim. Certainly, some Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and even Malaysia are much cleaner compared to Canada. At this time I live in Saint-Sauveur with my family. I work 5 hours a week as a volunteer person to clean the sides of roads, streets, national parks, and public places in the city. I lived in Vancouver for 4 years, this city is a disaster. when you drive or walk on East Hastings, Victoria Drive, Commercial Drive, West Georgia, Broadway, Main Street, Granville, and most places downtown, you never believe this city is in Canada. they're worst than some places in Africa or the 3rd world countries in Asia. I love this country and try my best to help. I came for peace. I thought Canada is a developed and first-world country like European countries, the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia, News Land, and Singapore with the western standard, and also I thought is one of the best. The first time 2018 I arrived in Vancouver, I was shocked. I saw a lot of homelessness, trash, crime, ugly urbanism, and rusty houses in downtown and east Vancouver. I saw, homeless people, pooping and peeing everywhere and it's so common. nobody cares. I was shocked again. I endured for 3 years but every day going worst. late in 2022I decided to move to the east coast because I thought that place has a stronger culture. I chose Montreal. I had heard it is the capital of art and civilization in Canada. it was absolutely wrong. Canada is Canada. I was shocked again, again, and again. the wave of homelessness, graffiti, vandalism, bad smell, terrible infrastructure especially roads in or out of the city, and above all, you can see trash everywhere. plastic bags, tissues, water bottles, and disposable cups. You cannot see any street or park or public place without these. This is even fall and there's no one out there... You wouldn't see an ant ? outside in winter. 23 years and counting and I'm still not use to this kinda living. New York and other big cities are the best places to live if you wanna live close to the style back home..
