It is abundantly clear trying to work with Trump gets you nowhere he sees movement towards his demands as weakness typical schoolyard bully behaviour and as we all got told when we were young you stand up to bullies. The US can no longer be trusted or seen as a reliable ally time for the rest of the world to move on without it
