Watching the government I came to believe that they are absolutely unconcerned about the the results of there actions in many regards, but also that many of them are too incompetent to actually do the job. Just look at the current Immigration minister. She is utterly clueless. I wouldn't hire the woman as nanny! Yet, she is a minister, can't answer basic questions and is totally useless.

In regards to the job issue, I wonder if allowing only a certain number of a certain demographic to be hired as opposes to giving majority of the jobs to that one demographic? Or maybe removing the wage subsidies? Is canada even in a financial position to be subsidizing wages? I don’t know if that would help….. just a thought.

Flood the country with immigrants and make it unlivable for them. What kind of planning is going on in Ottawa. At least have some plans. Just bring in construction workers then. All they do is bring in PhD holders from third world country and they would never work a blue collar job. There is poor planning from the administration with regards to the economy and immigration.

I am here with my wife who has an open work permit, and 5 years old daughter. I want to quit my Ph.D. and apply for a job in Nova Scotia under the AIP program. What are the rules for me? Hi Jason, Thank you for all you do. I have a question pls. How long are we expected to Live and work in that particular atlantic province,once we we get a job and we start living there ,under the AIP. are we supossed to live in that province for ever? Secondly, with regards to applying for work permit or PR when all the documentations are ready, if i was to apply for work permit,how long would that usually take to be granted,is this immediately or i would have to wait some months? If im to apply for PR,how long will IRCC normally grant the PR? Thank you Jason.
