The US seems hell bent on destroying itself. So many people are going to lose their jobs as the US economy goes into freefall. If Trump imposes higher tariffs on Europe too, we'll respond in exactly the same way as Canada.

If US imposes tariffs on Canada prices go up for people in the US. So if Canada imposes tariffs on US prices go up for people in Canada? How is this a retaliatory? Wouldn't it just be hurting the people in both countries?
