I’m 60 years old and am now seriously looking to leave Canada. Canada will become a failed country in the next 10 years (or sooner) and I don’t see anything changing. You can’t keep on borrowing endlessly without consequences, most Canadians don’t understand how economics work.

Government failure TIME AND TIME AGAIN. You let an influx of immigrants all at once, fail to do proper checks on who enters the country, fail to get rid of criminals from the country. But oh! The larger issue you don’t seem to understand or convey in your video is the fact that this racist and ignorance-fuelled behaviour becoming so normalized without thinking about the deeper issues at hand trickles into society at large is it eventually seeps into racism in general towards other cultures (although it’s not right towards any culture or ethnicity). Basically if you’re not white or white passing people become less inclusive or accepting, or write you off thinking you’re a foreigner (have seen this being experienced by a lot of Canadian born friends). This is all in all a reflection of the failing critical thinking skills in our society and dumbing down of our culture. If you think you’re gonna sit cushy and you’re safe because you’re not one of the indians, well you just might be next! People have lost empathy and decency. A lot of the videos posted online are exaggerated posts to garner views and engagement, but it’s not necessarily the truth.

Based on this trend, by the next 50 years, the real Canadians could probably be extinct. I'm sorry, my wonderful Canadians. Your government has failed you.

I’m a proud Indian who is now a Canadian citizen, and I’ve made a conscious effort to assimilate into Canadian culture and values. What bothers me is how this conversation has been reduced to blaming one group. The reality is that the Canadian government failed first by not properly managing immigration volumes, not enforcing document verification, and not honestly assessing whether the country could support such rapid population growth. That policy failure created pressure on housing, jobs, and social systems long before resentment followed. We also need honesty within the Indian community. Some Indians struggle to adapt being overly loud, culturally rigid, and sometimes lacking empathy for Canadian norms and shared public spaces. I studied Canadian and Indigenous history in school, and respecting that history matters. Assimilation doesn’t mean abandoning your culture, but it does mean understanding and respecting the society you chose to join. Cultural education should be expected, not optional. That said, one Indian doing something wrong does not make all Indians bad. Most Indian students and workers I know are hardworking, punctual, and serious about contributing. I’ve personally worked minimum-wage jobs for years, and what I noticed was not jobs being “taken,” but fewer Canadian youth willing to stay in or commit to these roles long-term. Indians didn’t replace Canadians, they filled vacancies that already existed. I also briefly volunteered helping the homeless, and what I saw was honestly shocking. It’s not that the government isn’t trying to help there are rehabilitation programs and support systems in place. The difficult truth is that a significant portion of the homeless population struggles with substance abuse and refuses treatment because it requires giving up drugs. Over time, homelessness itself starts to function like a culture, where benefits and assistance unintentionally enable continued substance use rather than recovery. This is an uncomfortable reality people don’t like to talk about. None of this is simple. Immigration didn’t break Canada, and neither did one community. Poor policy, weak enforcement, lack of accountability, and refusal from governments and individuals to adapt responsibly is what brought us here. Blame is easy. Honest solutions are not.

It's worse than this video shows. I don't live in Brampton and my town is entirely * after 10 years. Everywhere I go is * people. It doesn't matter what store or business or service I contact it's just * people now. When I went to college everyone was from there. This was a regular local college that Canadian kids aspire to go to. They made up 90% of the classmates, they never showed up to class, they refused to participate in team projects, nobody failed. They did so poorly but the school charges 3x. My final year they cancelled final exams because they decided too many international students would fail. They are from the same country but they have different religions and from different cities that hate each other so they would refuse to communicate with each other. Imagine you meet someone from another province and you hate them and aren't afraid to crashout in public over it. My next door neighbors there is so many people living in the house that they live there on a schedule one group in and one group out. You would think they would be going to work NO they literally hang out all day long like a bad 90s comedy movie. In the last 10 years all of the house in my town skyrocketed in price. The people around me all bought around 2010 - 2015 for $150k - $260k and sold for around $1m 2023 - 2026. Average house price in my town has stayed at 3x what it was 10 - 15 years ago. They don't rake their leaves, they don't clean up their trash, they don't clear their snow from their driveways. Both my parents are immigrants, they came here poor had to work, had to respect the country and its laws and culture because that's what allowed Canada to be successful so they could come here. All I hear about or see now is immigrants from the one country? When I was a kid I grew up with every nationality where did everybody go?

This guy is just jealous that Indian Immigrants are the highest earning community in both US and Canada. Indians earn way more than avg American or Canadian or even any other immigrant community. The entire video was stretched just to find one reason to show Indians are bad, but sadly you failed to show whats really wrong. People are living peacefully without disturbing anyone. Most of them are legal immigrants. Stop giving visas if you don’t want immigrants. Stop crying and compete with them if you have the potential.

The contrast between immigrants, many from India, and the rhetoric of those who now feel like a new minority was striking. It should not surprise me that racism appears anywhere humans are, but what stood out was how some speakers treated all Indians as a single people, despite hundreds of cultures, and accused them of failing to assimilate to ‘their way.’ Many of those voices were themselves descendants of immigrants who were once pressured to abandon Norwegian or other identities in the name of assimilation. Yet there was little evidence they had actually spent time getting to know their Indian neighbors, their cultures, friendships, or daily realities. Instead, the focus was fear and a narrative of societal collapse, rather than honest engagement that separates real local issues from blanket blame. Of course, any local community can have problems, and some groups can be unwelcoming. But the argument presented implied there is only one way to be Canadian. That echoes xenophobic rhetoric in the US about who counts as ‘American,’ often while ignoring the reality of Indigenous peoples entirely. I do not deny the importance of shared commitments like the rule of law, freedom, and evidence based policy rooted in the Enlightenment and scientific thinking. But culture and learning can coexist with those values. What troubled me most was how poverty and discrimination were replaced with racial generalizations, and how victim language was used to deflect responsibility, something that resembles DARVO. Given the same conditions, these problems could arise in any group, regardless of race.

Grew up in Brampton, horrible what has happened to this country. Canada is over the third world has taken over. Grandparents came here worked hard the Canadian way, if they saw what happened to this country it would be a disgrace. Canadians are tired and are feeling the impact on mass immigration. Bro I'm Punjabi and I'm born in Brampton. Many people in my generation are integrated and we do more "Canadian" things that "Punjabi" things. People scapegoat Brampton and immigrants for the government failing to build and honour housing or infrastructure for the last 30 years. After they graduate and leave, they can apply like everyone else and get in line. Their time as a student should not count for anything. Why are we fasttracking bringing grandparents of new Canadians or PR's? They don't pay taxes and put extra burden on healthcare and CPP. While the "One-Touch" digital system exists to speed up paperwork, every asylum seeker must still provide biometrics (fingerprints) and undergo a security/background check against global law enforcement databases upon arrival. 2. Denied claimants keep their health benefits. TRUE (But temporary). Benefits continue as long as the legal process is active. Because Canada allows for appeals and judicial reviews, a person whose claim is initially "denied" by the board is still considered to be "in the process" and keeps coverage until all legal appeals are exhausted. 3. There are 500,000 "lost" people due for deportation. FALSE. This number is a massive inflation. It likely refers to a total estimate of all people in Canada with expired visas (including students and workers). The number of people specifically "wanted" for deportation after a failed refugee claim is estimated to be closer to 30,000–50,000. 4. Refugees get dental and vision care that some Canadians don't. TRUE. The federal IFHP program does cover basic dental and vision for claimants because they aren't eligible for provincial health cards yet. Many Canadians only get these benefits through private insurance or specific low-income programs, though the new Canadian Dental Care Plan is currently closing that gap for seniors and children. 5. 10,000 people "vanish" from the system annually. UNVERIFIED. This was a specific estimate given by a union head during testimony. While the government tracks "abandoned claims," they don't officially classify them all as "vanished," as many are eventually located or leave the country voluntarily.

My government has failed me as a Canadian, I paid in to cpp since I was 19, i had a stroke and went blind in my left in 2024 at 56 and cannot get cpp disability, but hundreds of thousands get my tax payer dollars every year……just rotten

My grandparents immigrated here from Jamaica and certain groups have made the word immigration annoying and obnoxious now. It’s not even immigration at this point it’s just a full take over and a blatant disrespect for our country. Don’t follow the rules, aren’t compliant , protesting that Canadians don’t respect them and that they should stay there even if the visa is up, demanding money, buying all businesses and blatantly not hiring Canadians because they aren’t of a certain race. It’s extremely disrespectful and we need to start sticking up for the people of this country and have tighter rules and regulations to get in. Disappointed in our country…we’ve failed. What happened to the old school immigrants that would come in work hard build wealth and have pride in moving to Canada. It’s really the younger generation of immigrants that are entitled and stupid. And this is coming from a young person. Some of the immigrants (if you know you know) aren’t even that good at their job, they careless do it half ass and expect tips and that certain details will go unnoticed because they didn’t earn the job they just showed up and were handed the job.

As someone who just finished a college diploma and is now in university I have to say the average Canadian has no idea just how bad the situation is. Cheating/plagiarism etc. is overwhelmingly rampant amongst the "internationals". Also many teachers have made their classes essentially no-fail to cater to them.

Funny how everyone screams about immigrants and Indians ‘ruining Brampton,’ but no one bats an eye when billions of OUR tax dollars are shipped to Ukraine. The real issue isn’t people trying to make a living — it’s governments that failed to plan for housing, infrastructure, and affordability. Good video, shows the various viewpoints from new and old Canadians. Some point out legitimate problems with the large influx of people in a short period and issues with integration. Some are just bigoted calling Brampton 'brown town' because all they see is skin colour. Many of the interviewees disparage India but fail to acknowledge it is rapidly advancing recently becoming the 5th biggest economy and on track to be 3rd by 2030.

Well, as much as I don't like saying it, Canadians repeatedly voted for this. And still will not admit their own part in the problem. Denial makes no difference to facts. If open the front door, the back door the side door the pet entrance, the chimney, the gates and virtue signal "welcome" is it possible that those who have failed to make a nice home for themselves, see yours and rush into it to occupy it? And then being the failures at home-making that they provenly are (5000 years of proof - certainly, 80years of visible recorded evidence- since the Brits left them to do it on their own) turn yours into a squalid mess?

The Canadian government thinks im going to pay OSAP back for actually trying to balance school and life just to fail miserably because the teacher couldn't speak English.

As an immigrant who came to this country & fell in love with its culture 40 years ago, it's appalling to see how our beautiful first world country is quickly becoming a gutter. The newcomers these days are the privileged ones. All of us need to speak up, especially those of us immigrants who retain our original accents &/ non-white because our white fellow Canadians are accused of being racist whenever they do (though many could learn to be more eloquent. ie. go back to your country does NOT help)! I see it as my Canadian duty to remind "misbehaving" newcomers the reason they left their country in the first place. ie. You chose Canada for a better life, so why try to change it into the one you left? ie. Help me understand your logic? Why not leave your hate & war at the border; just like normal folks won't bring stinky garbage into their new homes. Life is challenging enough when you uprooted to a new country (especially our unforgiving cold Winter). So, just focus on the positive things in your new country & leave all your miseries behind... ie. Learn to adapt & enjoy your new country. Canada is a great country because of the love & effort of those before you, so now you are the beneficiary. Join the legacy by enhancing this beautiful country & its culture, so you can pass on this century old legacy for later newcomers to enjoy, like you do now. What dignity do you have & what kind of life lessons to your children by bullying your culture & religion into Canada at the expense of other Canadians? This will fracture Canada if everyone does that. Do you want this country to become so fractured & terrible that your descendants have to leave for a better country, like you did? Is that what your religion teaches you? Does it state it's perfectly fine to satisfy all your whims & wishes at the expense of others? Are you striving for Canadians to think badly of your race/culture? Are you being a good ambassador to your race/community/culture/religion? Canadians are so friendly & helpful, if you need help, just ask, please don't demand. Learn the language & it's ok to speak broken/pigeon English with gestures to communicate. No one expects you to be an English scholar; you gain respect for trying. Apply some basic Canadians manners, which goes a long way... Please & Thank You, Smile doesn't cost you anything, besides it's good exercise for your facial muscles. I worked my entire career with the public, I very seldom encounter negative feedback when I do the above. If they get nasty, I tell them that's definitely not the Canadian way to make friends & wish them Good Luck! I also make a point in telling the wealthy ones "Tax Avoidance is legal (I'm more than happy to show them), but Tax Evasion is not! It’s sad being a born Canadian and watching the land I love turn into an income battleground. Nobody wants to hire someone with the thought of training. They want people with experience but won’t give the experience to those who lived here and need it. They’d rather hire someone from somewhere else that has experience and then fails to follow through as the born and raised person given the opportunity would. The amount I’ve seen white people fight to work and work fighting to keep their job burning themselves out when they’re easily replaceable by someone for a fraction of the cost and needing 3 people in their place since most immigrants are extremely lazy, especially after getting the pr. I am a Jamaican descendant born Canadian and I am homeless living on the street. The irony is, I am great with money and have been working since a child at 13. I haven't taken vacations or time off. The system has failed me tremendously. I was denied second stage and transitional housing 3 times with out reason. I was discharged from shelters where I was the only one working on my betterment while others continued with poor habits such as depression, laziness and addictions.
