Have you never seen any progressive and good side of the Indians' contribution?? I think you should go listen to P.M Macron's speech in IT summit that happened recently in India. Just because of one ill-literate stupid person who ate the cow-dung doesn't represent the whole of India. There are some stupid people in every country. Its a sensible and a resonable think to understand such realities. Before you talk about India please read and have some knowledge about each state then you'll understand each state is very different and a country by itself. Considering that all Indians are bad is not smart or nice. Looks like you are expecting some changes, ok, then try and work on for that rather than hating Indians as a whole.

No matter what you think of Trudeau: This speech was brilliantly delivered and full of compassion for both the people of Canada and of the US.

All leftwing pelple in the comments insulting Trump are enjoying freedom of speech that right wing people are fighting for while if they were in power they would silence half the country on social media. I think this speaks volumes. Not hard to see what would happen, just look at what happened under Biden and what happens in Europe. ? Yet it's somehow Trump the dictator.

Great speech by Trudeau (other than one point: about the Orange Sphincter being a smart guy). Trudeau was authentic and eloquent and very angry. Good for Trudeau for articulating so well what so many people think, and what needs to be said. The Orange Sphincter can barely string 2 coherent words together. YAAAAAY TRUDEAU ??

I think the speech is historic, the most consequential for Canada and the world at large.

Just a reminder, Canada/Trudeau commited multiple atrocities against free speech and wellbeing during covid. One example being how they froze the bank accounts of people peacefully protesting the covid mandates. While I don't agree with the tariffs, everybody here should know Canada isnt the perfect, kind, friendly place you think it is. They will turn totalitarian if given enough power or given the right conditions for it.

I wonder if this was the same type of speech he gave when he seized the bank accounts of those farmers and workers that had a peaceful protest, remember that. I really like the way that he said about he's not going to sugar coat anything and he spoke so clearly to inform Americans what is truly going on with what Trump is doing to this country and Trudeau is telling people the truth just like the leader from North Korea. When you get leaders who barely rare give speeches then you know that they are not bull sh**ing about what they are talking about, but Trump is doing that and he's going to destroy people's lives in America and he's going to destroy America. Dont put Tariffs on the USA as they are passed onto the end user/consumer which are the American people. Put the prices up on your sale of electricity, oil and gas 25% that the US government buys, so it hits them first and they will think twice. ..... Trump never mentioned cost of living in his acceptance speech which had us wondering. This is why.

Canadian here. Wake up Canadians. Many people are praising Trudeau for this speech. Don't. He is out as Liberal leader within the week. He doesn't have to follow through on anything he said. Plus, he just stated that he's smart enough to suggest that Trump just put a 25% tax on Canadian goods for Americans but he also thinks that you are dumb enough not to realize that he just put a 25% tax on Canadians for American goods. Trudeau basically created the situation for these tariffs (open border to let anyone come here). He loves this as he gets to take the apparent moral high ground for the first time in his life and wants this speech to be the way he is remembered rather than years of failing Canada. Forget about the last 9 years and vote Liberal if you are a fool.

After a speech like this, discourse and solutions are supposed to follow. I’m a Canadian and no fan of Prime Minister Trudeau. It’s unfortunate the best speech he ever gave was after he resigned as Prime Minister. What he has said in this speech is absolutely true, despite the fact, I think Trump is doing some good things for the USA. This Terrif war with your neighbour is stupid. Unfortunately for us in Canada our Prime Minister has not given us the tools and freedom to grow economically and prosper the way we should have. Canadians should be living like Kings, but unfortunately are living paycheque to paycheque because of the stranglehold that our Prime Minister has put on businesses and its citizens. Now Canada has very little leverage, I believe to fight this Terrif war. Respect! I think Trudeau speaks plainly about the madness of the latest tariffs. I'm pleased that he speech was measured and polite. And how he spoke directly to people in the USA, dismissing the totally unjustifiable reasons Trump has made for implementing the tariffs.

Even though I don’t oppose Trudeau’s speech, comment section makes me worry that a single speech made people think he is a great leader and vote for him again when our country is at its lowest.

I think this was probably the best speech I’ve heard from Trudeau. I’m not a fan of his, but I admire the way he has handled this and stood up for us. I’m deeply touched by the amount of support we are receiving from around the world and especially from our US brothers and sisters. ❤️??
