I wrote my citizenship test 20/20 today. While the questions in the actual test were not the same as this video, this video helped me to review and prepare with confidence. I read the discover Canada guide cover to cover thrice and went over this quiz twice. What really helped is that this quiz refers you to the exact line and the page of the handbook which helped a lot in preparation. Good luck everyone!

I just wrote my exam now! I even wrote twice because of an error with my photo ID. I got 20 in the first test and 19 in the second test. All the questions were very similar to what we have here but some where in true or false formats. I listened to Discover Canada audio and read the pdf simultaneously and then did two rounds of this practice questions. Thank you greatly

I feel this video does cover what's happening but don't answer the question why its happening. Here's what i think- To start with - A major population of indian immigrants in Canada come from two provinces/states - Punjab and Gujarat. From Punjab - Most of the population who migrates to Canada are villagers. They are notoriously famous in Punjab cities as well for creating trouble. They have no civic sense, always getting involved in illegal stuff, some use drugs, no etiquettes, poor hygiene and very arrogant sometimes. Another thing, Canadian government over the years stopped taking in-person interviews and got lenient with rules for gaining a visa especially for students which doesn't make sense and one should be catious so of what kind of people they are letting in their country. This leads to letting in a bunch of wrong people who are already a troublemaker in Punjab and then represents a bad of side of Indians. A side note - Every Indian province is very very different and not all people are same in India. It's definitely a shit situation which shows Canadian government definitely needed a better way to handle immigration. A lot of international students has been exploited by the system as well if you get to know from there point of view as well. Seeing the thumbnail and title of this video shows what kind of a person Tyler is. Without a proper research and understanding, he just made a video to appease people who hates on Indians. Title says Invasion, is he for real? I see way more Chinese immigrants here in Canada than any other nationality. Punjabi Indians are to be blamed as for creating a bad picture for themselves but hating on whole country without knowing them feels prejudiced. I hope whoever is reading to really open their eyes and understands that this is a government failure for not having strict rules and regulations. Indians have been immigrating to Canada for more than 100 years but you see them as a problem now due to last 8 years of bad decisions. Last thing, you see more Indians in Tim Hortons and mock them, is that a bad thing on loving and supporting a Canadian brand? Definitely poor english speaking employees is a problem, but that is a management issue. You don't like it, have a word with the Manager if they don't act on it, then I guess they don't really care for your opinion. Its on you now whether you want your coffee or better english 😂

I just read a story that over 851,000 immigrants have left Canada on their own because of the high cost of housing and living conditions here , and won't this solve the problem when it comes to immigration in the country . Should have asked Kenny who is going to pay his golf plated pension when the population starts going down and there is less taxpayers paying into the system when we start having a major population decline .

Because of the Khalistan movement, Punjab got destroyed economically (it was the richest state in India) as a result people are forced to move out. And the best place is their second Punjabi 🫣🫣 ie. Khalistani homeland Canada.

Mass immigration is a horrible thing. It ruins culture and countries. Failed countries need to be held accountable for their failures. Their homelands need to take care of their people. Too many people come to the US and probably Canada definitely the UK. They get there and then expect the country to conform to them and their culture and that’s not right. Appluses for hearing one side of the story. Care to hear the perspective of an Indian Immigrant in Canada? Then read on. I believe most people are barking up the wrong tree. As a legal immigrant who migrated here with a nuclear family only on merit, I believe I earn the privilege to voice my thoughts here. First of all, rather than blaming the hoards of Indian immigrants, why don't anyone ask questions to the people who allowed it? Why not ask the politicians who vetoed it? While I agree that many of the Africans going to Canada are from war-torn countries without a good education, he speaks of Africa like it's a monolith. Realities in Ghana aren't same as in Ethiopia. South Africa isn't same as Rwanda nor is Senegal same as Madagascar so unless he is referring to individual countries with specific examples, his claims don't even make any sense. 7:27 I read that article fully and it also said: “While nearly half of those surveyed said they felt quality of life in Canada’s fastest-growing big city had decreased in the past three years, 79 per cent of residents rated quality of life in Brampton as good or very good.” So the quality of life decrease is minimal and the article cites public safety, crime, and affordability of housing as concerns, but doesn’t specify Indian immigration as being the reason nor the racist implications that Tyler is trying to get at.. This is a classic correlation doesn’t mean causation example. If you read further into that article, people generally say that the quality of life is overall better compared to their survey in 2019. Straight up, Tyler here is cherry-picking data as a means of pushing the right wing narrative that Indians are bad and fueling hatred for them when the real reason is lack of better reform or change from the Canadian govt and Canadas corporations. Not that different from the US tbh.

Thank you for the video. I just took my test Jan 19/2026 got 19/20 on my first attempt. I read 2 chapters of discover Canada, found it was hard to follow and watched this video 3 times instead. I took notes and read all the explanation with each questions. Wrote down the events according to timeline really helped. This video gave me a really solid foundation, but still had maybe 4-5 questions that wasn’t part of these questions.

Attempted my test in Jan 2026, yes this video helps but you must read the official discover Canada guide at least once and have a good knowledge of you local, provincial, federal government at current time. Also question from this video can be asked in form of true/false, so it’s important to pay proper attention to what you reading. Good luck.

While the "One-Touch" digital system exists to speed up paperwork, every asylum seeker must still provide biometrics (fingerprints) and undergo a security/background check against global law enforcement databases upon arrival. 2. Denied claimants keep their health benefits. TRUE (But temporary). Benefits continue as long as the legal process is active. Because Canada allows for appeals and judicial reviews, a person whose claim is initially "denied" by the board is still considered to be "in the process" and keeps coverage until all legal appeals are exhausted. 3. There are 500,000 "lost" people due for deportation. FALSE. This number is a massive inflation. It likely refers to a total estimate of all people in Canada with expired visas (including students and workers). The number of people specifically "wanted" for deportation after a failed refugee claim is estimated to be closer to 30,000–50,000. 4. Refugees get dental and vision care that some Canadians don't. The problem is not the immigrants. The problem is with Canadian leaders, and the Canadians who elected and reelected them to office. I lived in Nova Scotia for just over 2 decades. I attempted to have many discussions about these issues and was shocked by the generally vapid responses I'd get. Much more to say, but the main point is that Canadians have destroyed their own country's quality of life and from what I can see, Canada is not worthy of respect as a nation. I take ZERO pleasure in saying this. However, the country should have provided the United States with a up close example of what a well run social democratic nation looks like. If you notice most of the newcomers are young military men and I just read an article on ctv news stating that canada is recruiting 300000 volunteers for the miltary as threats are on the rise from the world.

Immigrants are unaware that the great opportunity they have in Quebec is worth its weight in gold. During their stay, they spend two, three, or five years here and neither speak, read, nor write French. They go about their daily lives like any other Quebecer who is settled here. And when the time comes to leave, they have to sell off what little they own and return with nothing. They shout and argue as if Canada owes them something, even though they haven't received any financial assistance from their own governments in their home countries, yet here they come demanding it. I hope that what they experienced here will motivate them to prosper when they return.

I have such mixed feelings watching this video and the following is just my opinion. I am an immigrant from India too and I love my country's values and culture but I also realize its drawbacks. When I came here, my immediate instinct was not to change everything to how it was back home...It was rather to learn the culture and values of Canada too (which I know is in and itself a mixture of multiple cultures). If you are reading this my fellow Indians, It is truly my most humble request to remember that you don't have have to quit your culture, but that does not mean that you make no effort or take part in involving yourself in other cultures or mock them. There are always two sides of the story. When British and French went from starting trade with indigeneous to brigning their families and settling towns on their land, they must have had the same feeling. India was doing fine before british came in and lynched the economy to feed industrial revolution in west. I have seen Finnish, croatian, greek, polish, italian, german cultural centers and businesses serving their communities in Canada. Can we also say that they should assimilate in Canadian culture? What is even Canadian culture? It is the "The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms", read that thing and the history if you are not familiar. I do acknowledge that there is massive influx of immigrants in a short span which govt. did to compensate for labor needs but they did not invest in infrastructure and orientation of immigrations. I have worked with Canadians in their 60s vs 20s, there was a huge difference in work ethic. My white manager relied on me and my another friend for closing or opening shift than some local preveliged kids. I am in support of deporting illegals but let's educate who are here legally. Collaborate with communities to voice out your concerns and look at the positive impact immigrants have made in past decades.

All the recent Indian immigrants interviewed seem to be very kind, hardworking people who are just trying to create a better life for their families. Then I read the comment section and it's just a bunch of people spewing vitriol towards Indian immigrants. "Canada isn't supposed to look like India". I am an Indian. Many of the new comers from the North of India , whether students or immigrants, do not speak English fluently. Some, especially the Punjabis, cannot even read and speak even a single sentence in English. They bribe the immigration officials and get the IELTS certificate for whichever score/band they need. Some of them have a criminal background. When the inquiry for background check comes up, they bribe the police to get a clean certificate... and they all immigrate to Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other Western countries. Every other brown skinned people gets hated and embarrassed because of these people. I have a strong feeling that many in IRCC are of Indian decent and they help these people. These people are racists, arrogant, selfish, greedy, rude, disrespectful, uncivilized and mostly unintellectual. They don't even respect people from other parts of India.

The government destabalised Canada for a reason. It is a part of a strategy for fascist regimes to take over a country and it's resources. I read a book by Naomi Klein several years ago called "Shock Doctrine" where she outlines this strategy and breaks it down. This did not happen by accident or because of stupidity or bad government. It was strategic and part of the plan.

Brother JamCan, this whole thing was predictable decades ago! I got to Canada in 1995 right after hell unfolded in the country of a thousand hills! I saw with my own eyes & felt from personal experience how great my adopted country was! However, not everything was rosy! I saw and experienced the "not-in-your-face" anti-black racism, whether politically, socially, and most def in the employment market! At the same time, the establisment (read white folks) was busy encouraging & promoting east indians to take up leadership roles in all spheres of the society, thus making them the "model minority" in the country! This mess was bound to happen, and in the end, this is what got us here! I read a story about a guy a few years ago who came from India on a student Visa and planned on staying and therefore wanted to change the Canadian flag. He said he was appalled and felt as a migrant it was offensive because Canada and by extension its flag was part of the Commonwealth and Britain's imperialist history with India made the Canadian flag offensive. 😳 I probably don't have to tell you what kind of comments he got.
