Changes to immigration are welcome. In Quebec things are far more complicated as integration and language come into play.
Most immigrants struggle to build a life in Canada due to expensive housing (renting or ownership).
Canada was also accepting too many professional immigrants (engineering, business, consulting, IT, accounting) when we desperately need trades, construction workers and mechanics.
The reduction in immigration and foreign students to sustainable levels is long overdue.

Yeah, changes are good and welcome but way too little too late. Trudeau needed over a year of bad polling and hundreds of news articles on how his push for record immigration has ruined our housing market and driven down wages and productivity before he would actually take action. This man does not care for Canadians! This population push was all at the behest of his lobbyist buddies. People say it was to import liberal votes but I don't think so, it was just to satisfy those that pull his strings.
