Canadians and Americans will hurt from this! Not Mexicans! Mexico has poverty already!

This will hurt Americans more than it will hurt Canadians because they have allies. And Canada still on the British rule in somewhat.

In 2024, 75.9% of Canada's total exports went to the United States. \nWas it convenience or laziness that made it so, or Canadians’ trust in America being a fair partner? \nPresident Donald J Trump, you have insulted Canadians and the whole United States will harvest the consequences. \nYou had negotiated the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) calling USMCA the best deal, and recently you called your deal the worst deal. \nYou can be the Manchurian Candidate as much as you want. You seek to destroy Canada. Go ahead, do your worst. Keep being manipulated by the Putin and Musk of the world. \nThis is the last time you will use this closeness between Canada and the USA to hurt Canada this way. Does not matter how long it will take, Canada will diversify its trading practice to foolproof itself from future fools like you, elected to the oval office. \nNeighbours, Canadians will remain, there is no way of moving Canada to a different place on this planet’s map. Everyone thinks that this is Canada standing up, but what this means is that the Canadians with our economy that is 1/10 that of the US will be taxed at 25% on our imports, this is going to hurt canadians way more than the retaliatory terrifs will hurt the americans. When trump recommended terrifs everyone cried “oh that will only hurt Americans” but then Canada does it in response and everyone cheers? Like isn’t he by your own logic now screwing Canadians? Which is it people?

This will hurt america way more than it will hurt Canada! Canadians are used to tightening their belts and pulling together and remember that when our trade deals are ratified with other countries and those relationships are built and new trade routes are forged bypassing the u.s. then the u.s. will be a stand alone country wait until Canadas oil and gas and electricity is turned , and let's talk about Canadas potash and just about everything else will be gone let's not forget about tourism because instead of making north America stronger Canada will be stronger and once we start getting fair market value for Canadian energy and our national debt is gone then it'll be bye bye Americans. You won't be the stronger nation on earth very much longer. Is America joining Russia as a new communist agreement.

Trump chose to do this its not Canadas choice and I simple do not see how its justified. This is a tax on Americans make no mistake its OUR prices that will go up as well as Canadians. This sure smells of Russian influence to me, its almost as if Trump is trying to hurt America, he is for sure tearing up the Government. I cannot believe on his last days as PM, he finally started fighting fentanyl, under the threat of tariffs and he wonders why they still put them in place. It’s probably because they want to make sure that he keeps doing what he should have done for Canadians along time ago. But trump should not keep the tariffs in place after Justin is gone it will only hurt both us Canadians and Americans.

This is going to hurt All Canadians and will extremely hurt Mexico. \nIt's only going to hurt yearly profits of 1% of Americans and those with CanAm's and anything Bombardier or Rotax. The automotive industry will just come back and have to eat the margin losses until they recoup. They still have plants here, they just have to bring everything back, rehab the buildings and start hiring and training folks.\nChina is the problem because they make everything and ship a lot of goods into this country... \nWe joyfully took our major manufacturing there instead of keeping it all here and becoming an industrial complex like they did as perfect capitalistic communists ...\nOh, but I forgot, regulations, mandates and emissions drove away most of our industry along with greed to increase margins. Until those regulations, mandates and emissions standards are changed, there's going to be a major manufacturing concern in this country.
