I think Canada tends to bear the fraud loss being intangible but on the other hand these schools or colleges receive money from foreign students to sustain economy which makes them Golden goose and they cant kill it. But yes students should be screened at border if they cant speak in English and passed Ielts (fraudulently). Mark them high risk there as that is where the fraud starts.

There is a video on how a Canadian citizen should leave Canada and come back as a refugee new immigrant! My daughter is a fully qualified for graphic Designer and yet (with thousands of $$$in student debt) cannot find a job. She actually put in her resume with an Indian name as well as in her own name. Guess which resume had a call for an interview, yes - the one with the Indian name. This is insane. I require personal health-care at home and i REFUSE TO have my Canadian worker be replaced with an immigrant from Kenya. Sorry but the Canadian worker has been here for 5 generations and then suddenly she's going to lose her house because of this situation with immigrants. If they dont assimilate to our culture, speak our official languages (French and English). Deport them all. This is a rat race , not everyone one is educated, not everyone has basic etiquettes and work dedication to explore the professional world, not everyone knows how to speak english properly or to express themselves clearly and they just come here as they hear or see that PEOPLE LIVING IN CANADA ARE EARLING HELL AMOUNT OF MONEY. Sounds stupid and ridiculous,,,,, imma tell you folks something. being an Indian International student living in Brampton right now, I shall how some courage, and should not feel ashamed telling you guys that WE ARE NOT WILLING TO ACCEPT OUR LIMITATIONS, we are NOT WILLING TO WORK on our basic skills, we are not willing to think outside the box. People in my community holds resentments if someone else criticizes them, they thinks that they got the big brains and everyone else is just faking some shits and spelling something on them which is hurting their DIGNITY, PRIDE, STATUS. I should be ashamed of myself and i feel really sorry and embarrassed that WHERE ARE OUR THOUGHTS OUR IDEADS ARE HEADING. \nThere are some bad apples in the basket! Canadian here with what I hope is a level headed view.\n\nI would say that the biggest issue and problem is to be laid at the Liberal Party's feet. Both Canadians and Indians are Pawns in a political game of Chess. Trudeau and his administration are using the Imagination community for votes. This also means that so as not to offend Immigrants new to the country, Canadian ways, traditions, lifestyles, ect. are targeted by the Liberal government.\n\nAs an example, If I went anywhere in the Middle East, I would be expected to respect and adhere to the laws and traditions of the country I am in. BUT, here in Canada, it is becoming no longer acceptable to celebrate our heritage, traditions or even holidays as it might offend Immigrants.\n\nThat's an idea as to the bigger picture.\n\nThe smaller picture is stupid things like an Immigrant the his or her diet doesn't allow the ingestion of Pork/Ham/Bacon.... but say orders a Bacon Cheese Burger then makes a scene because he or she isn't allowed to eat pork... and eventually is given the meal for free. Or in one case the restaurant offered to pay for the entire meal in which the 5 immigrants at the table drank $350 in Alcohol. Yes I have witnessed both. \n\nThere are also cultural issues which cause friction. The language barrier being one major. Especially when an Immigrant tries to claim he or she cannot speak the English or French but holds a valid Driver's license. The license could not be held if the individual doesn't speak English or French. \n\nRegardless, individual issues are small when confronted with a government that treats everyone as Pawns.

I'll be honest while writing this! Being Indian i feel ashamed nowadays bcoz of Trudeau's love affair for Khalistani's. When i came here 6 years it was way better but in last 2-3 years Trudeau has literally dumped whole Punjab into Canada without any screening. This people from my own country don't speak English, don't wanna dress in a civil way, don't wanna act civil, shove their religious thoughts on everyone and feel as if they own everything. Canada can't continue with this amount of immigration. Honestly, IMO, Canada should only be considering skilled immigrants, and importantly, immigrants who can speak either English or French articulately. My daughter had a resident doctor who was Indian, who was going to perform a procedure which included using a scalpel on her tongue (she was tongue tied, minimally). I couldn't understand a word he was saying, neither could she. He got so mad he threw the scalpel at the wall. I went and got the supervising physician, and we got the procedure done. My point here is, yes we need skilled workers, but they need to be able to communicate with the general public.\nAlso, the family reunification program needs to be overhauled. No seniors unless the sponsors can pay for them out of pocket until death; and no extra money for children who are brought over that arent the sponsors biological children.

We need to drop immigrants and work on our own people. Hell there are still Reserves that don't even have clean water and there's zero reason from that... Yes. Canada is not like what used to be as a good country to immigrate to in mid or late 1970s. Unfortunately, job opportunities, salary, wages have not kept us with high cost of living in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. Also, road infrastruture have not kept 12:12 up with population growth. People should do research, check out more before immigrating to Canada these days. If you are moving to Canada for peace and political stability, then yes. Otherwise, think twice! Also, the requirement for Canadian employers to ask for Canadian experience has existed since at least the 70s. But it is absurd and stupid for employers to ask job applicants for Canadian experience since the world is highly interconnected through internet these days. Provided you are working in western world or English speaking countries, job functions and management styles are basically very similar whether it is high tech industry, banking, investment companies etc.

let's be honest as an international student I am in awe of how some internationals can study in Canada when they can't even speak English properly .. when I came here I needed to pass IELTS and get a band 7 for everything all my documents and transcripts were directly sent from the official email of my institution. I need to pass an exam before enrolling for my course, I have criminal, abuse registry, and child registry checks in my country and even when I am in Canada. Did all the immunizations needed and abide by their law i need to submit all these documents every 6 months access. to the policy of the program I am doing. And as an international remember you are coming to Canada they have their own culture so you need to respect and adjust to it, not Canada adjusting to you... even though Canada is diverse they have its own rules so yes adapt to the place where you are. And to them blaming the agency you the people who are using them knew exactly what they were getting into now you are complaining I did all my applications through DIY as IRCC is a direct applicant why need agents for application. Ircc should also question why a person needs an agent to process their applications. If they can't understand basic instruction and basic legal matters would you think those students will be able to survive the education system here in Canada? let's be real a lot of students are taking short-term courses, short like 8 months, and yes to get PR (I wouldn't lie cause that would be hypocrisy all international students have that aim, and if you say no just stay in your country). Now this a lesson to IRCC that they really need to make a thorough background before offering a PR permit ..and please when you are in public speak English respect the people around you... and don't speak too loud in your language when you are in working places.. uphold professionalism again remember you are in Canada a french English speaking country. Or that we can no longer communicate with our neighbours because non of them speak english well or that we are constantly being called racist either by implication or outright by our media, academia and government. Or that our parents were able to afford university with zero debt afterwards now you leave with $100k+ in debt and the classrooms are 80% foreigner. Our the hundreds of thousands of Canadians who have been pushed into living in tents because sky high immigration has made their home town unaffordable etc Their anger is misdirected I know that, but it is understandable and will get worse. I’ve been living in Canada for 5 years now and I can surely say that Canada is loosing it’s beauty. It’s high time government filters the immigrants it’s taking in the country and it needs to focus more on quality rather than quantity ?\nI love Canada and I feel bad seeing it shaping itself in an ugly way. \nI came from India 5 years ago and I can say this was the best decision but at the same time I feel Canada needs to implement this things to new immigrants coming in:\n\n1) Blend in the local culture and enjoy it the way it is and not try to bring the same chaos and stupidity from back home country.\n\n2) More stricter laws against violators (rowdy immigrants)\n\n3) Once they land they should be given an etiquette lesson and good briefing about Canada whichever airport they are on.\n\n\n4) Better speak English at all times so that everyone can understand everything with clarity.\n(P.S: please don’t consider this racist as Canada has people from all round the world)\n\n5) Cultural festivals need to be celebrated in own space keeping in mind the privacy of others and be courteous to others making sure they’re not bothered.\n\n\n6) Not trying to force others to believe your way or follow certain religion etc and be respectful of others. \n\n\n7) Stop complaining and ranting about things they can’t control and not pollute the environment by being careless. \n\n\nI see a lot of my fellow people making mess of things his beautiful country and hence i hope Canada implements the above points so we can have a better and happy society. \n\nCanada is a land of opportunities and yes it has got some flaws in the system but that’s not what we can control. Hi Jason from the Uk I want to move on and settle down in Canada. How will I get there I am a British citizen and how much money. I am not about immigration rules I have to apply online. It’s having to take too many tests that’s why? You need slot of IQ \nTests so where do I stand in the immigration process. It’s not easy at all. I feel held back. Yes, 1.3 BILLION can now apply to Canada, money is growing on our trees, you will make so much money you will need a truck to carry it home every day. Our roads are paved in gold. You can walk into any vacant house and claim it to be yours. CANADIANS love Indian guys they are so handsome, muscular,speak perfect English, dress and smell great. Luv how they cut their hair. Pretty good Adam I'd just mention a few of those things are...I don't want to say inaccurate but way more diverse. For instance French. Yes Quebec is the only French province BUT New Brunswick is the only Bilingual province and basically half and half. This is good for things like federal of provincial services because by law they must provide service in both languages but not so basically everywhere else. The problem with this is you can have an almost completely English town almost nobody speaks French and drive 15 minutes and be in a town where nobody speaks English. Research on this might be hard because a town with a French name may not have any French people in and vise versa. Also this problem is multiplied in the fact that if you Do want a French area we don't speak standard French or Quebecois but instead Le Chiac which is a difficult and confusing mix of old French and english (almost exactly like the Cajun dialect). Second part of this is that Montreal is easy to live in if you don't speak French and is so multicultural you are just apt to hear Swahili as French in public. Last part is be very careful where you move on the prairies as they have may isolated towns some that speak French also. Next is tipping I've never had to tip anyone for a haircut outside of the military and all other forms of tipping here on the east coast are purely optional and wait staff don't get upset if you don't leave a tip unless you were a jerk or left them extra work like making a big mess (I worked as cook for a while after I got out of the army and I rarely ever head staff complain) HOWEVER....tip a waitress well and she might accidentally give you 2 pieces of pie lol and tip a taxi driver well and he will not only get you the cheapest fare he will find ANYTHING you may need no questions asked. Lastly on the nice thing....we are nice for sure especially compared to our southern neighbours BUT there is a lot of passive aggressive nice that happens and this also varies greatly. For instance as a city boy of course you answered the way you did but a guy who have lived all over this country in big and small, French and English places who now has retired to a rural town I can say I find the cities quite snobby and the French and the English can be quite snobby to each other and where I live now if you asked a random stranger for 5$ chances are you would get it also driving down the road people you don't know will just wave at you as if you were the closest friends. Canada is certainly a weird place so many extremes and my advice to anyone wanting to move here is do your research and then visit and travel a bit if possible because even us Canadians can be surprised by thing or two across this gigantic country

Canada is what you make of it. You can arrive rich and end up poor and you can arrive poor and end up rich. In between that, you can have a great life that balances your needs. I’ve seen immigrants succeed simply because they see the opportunity in front of them . They worked hard in their own counties to stay just above the poverty line ,but when they apply that same effort here it pays off ten times greater. I feel that compared to a lot of immigrants, natural born Canadians come across as spoiled and a little lazy…we are. We haven’t had to struggle the same way someone from a poorer country might have. I’ve talked to people who’ve worked ten to twelve hours a day just to stay afloat. If you did that here you could make plenty of money to live and have some left over. As far as owning a house goes,yes it’s expensive . I feel that homeownership in any country is relatively expensive. Here is a tip; use that soaring home prices to your advantage. Houses are expensive but you can make a lot of money buying and selling. I recommend putting together a buyers group and share the house for a few years, then sell at a profit, buy a bigger house or two smaller houses.try to buy the worst house in the best neighbourhood and fix it up slowly . That house could double in value in five or six years in the Toronto market. This is nothing new of course ,the people from India and China seem to do this a lot here ,it drives up prices and profits. On the downside to this ,you are now part of the problem. As the housing prices are driven up the non wealthy can no longer afford to own a house . They are at the mercy of high rents with no rewards of ownership. They are caught in a cycle of hard work and (relative)poverty. This could also be you if you can’t keep up the house payments and are forced to rent.\nHow well you speak English is important but your native language is also useful here because Canada is half immigrants . As a Canadian that speaks only english (Irish descent)I have to say to all newcomers that I’m very impressed that you have learned a new language and that you may even speak more than two! Don’t be embarrassed about your abilities . I find that in my experience , Canadians do not look down on people just because they don’t know English. In fact ,I’ve known people that have lived here for decades and still know very little English. They are comfortable in their communities and they function just fine. Learn as much English as suits your needs and be proud of any gains you make.\nOutside of Toronto are other cities that you might consider when looking at southern Ontario.From my experience,most are generally the same, just not as big . There are large immigrant communities in London Ontario, Hamilton and just outside of Toronto where housing is just a little bit less expensive but the commute to work is probably longer. This is just my opinion but in the small towns there are less people of colour , (which is what people of no colour call everyone else . I wonder if I’m called a person of no colour in some other culture ? LoL ). That might make it harder for you to feel integrated ,if that’s what you want. I’m not saying that people from other cultures can’t make it in a small town , I’m just saying that it’s definitely not Toronto . Here, people of any nationality can feel like they have a place where they can belong . It seems that no matter where you are from ,there is a community already here that’s set up restaurants and stores and clothing shops and newcomer support systems. And if your from Portugal or China or India or Africa or the Middle East, there are large groups of your kin here that have established roots for generations and you probably know this already.\nToronto means meeting place and that becomes evident quickly. I was born here and it’s one of the things I love the most about my city. I’m not going to say that there isn’t systemic racism here ,the people of no colour still kind of keep the top position , but as we become a minority in a decade or so ,I hope that will shift to a broader spectrum. It’s certainly happening already. One good thing is that the police department tries to hire people of colour so that racialism may play a smaller role. We’re getting used to seeing our politicians more and more reflect their constituents.\nI have to talk about the weather. Because I’m from here I’m used to the extremes of minus thirty and plus thirty . Eventually you get used to it (somewhat). Dressing in the right clothes is important. Summer is easy , but winter is different. It’s trying to kill you. Spend the most that you can afford on winter cloths . If you can afford a quality parka you should get one. The hood can be drawn around the face and stay out of the wind.\nIf not ,think of layers with a outer layer that blocks the wind. We have things called long Johns that are basically full length thick cotton or nylon pants that go on under your pants and a pair of extra thick socks. Buy your boots to fit your thick socks. Try to get the best boots you can afford ,it’s something that you might spend a little extra for but never regret.\nAll in all we are a fairly organized and peaceful society. Most people are friendly and will give you a chance . We have a good social safety net here and you don’t have to be homeless or starving if you don’t want to. There are people and organizations set up to help ,that truly try to get people back on their feet. It’s a good investment that pays off in ways that matter for the quality of life in a big city. I’m not putting my American neighbours down when I say they do things differently. They have their ways ,we have ours. This is just something that we do because we’re trying to learn how to help those that society has discarded or can’t find their place. Sure we have one or two areas where the homeless have pitched tents and we have some resources for them if they want. Unfortunately The mayor recently forced a small camp to move from a very visible place to more scattered locations. There were social workers involved as well as protesters trying to protect them. I didn’t like that happening and I want to see even more resources dedicated to them ,but on the other hand ,we are trying to avoid something like what happens on the streets when it’s just ignored. When I see YouTube videos of the streets of Philadelphia I’m extremely saddened. I thank the lucky stars that I was born in Toronto Canada.\nFor all it’s pollution and expense and crowds ,I think it’s a great place to do almost anything your heart desires . For every ugly building there is a beautiful park ,for every honked horn there is a birds call , for every cold and dark day there is beautiful sunny one around the corner.

Yes Canada is a peaceful nation. You did not mention tent cities in Victoria and Vancouver, B.C. In Canada we only speak English. Quebec should be their own country. I was in the military in Quebec for one week and dropped out. I got sick in the winter and I did not like how they treated people. Remember when your there you have to learn both languages. This is because of the marching drills and it is hard if you don't know French. If I was American I be happy and they only speak English. America rules!

Canada has done extremely well for Immigrants, and we spend a lot of money on making sure we get hard working decent citizens.. We've recently made it easier for people to immigrate here. We welcome it. But it does have to be done legally. And yes, I agree with everyone else here. 15 years in English countries, and doesn't speak it himself is disgusting. I bet he'd learn the word food fast if he was starving. Also, those kids need to be in school. I hope he's not hiding them too cause they'll never learn English then.

So this guy left El Salvador to come to the US. His claim was denied and he fled again to Canada where his claim was denied again- twice! 15 years in the US and you still don’t speak English?
