Boycott all American companies and products!

We don’t dislike American people; we dislike Donald Trumps attitude towards Canada! ?? \n\nWe’ve already started to boycott American food & other products in our grocery stores! \n\n“Canadians are reasonable, and we are polite; but we will not back down from a fight . \n\nThere are no winners in a trade war!”\n~Justin Trudeau\n\nAmericans know that the issue is tRump & not the American people!\n\nGod help us all!

America has too much pride and ego in being a super power we should all boycott american products, to show them that they also need to cooperate with the world and bring them down to earth

As an American, please raise your tarifs even higher, please boycott American products at all costs.

If you want to stop Trump in his tracks, if you want to teach him a well deserved lesson, boycott all American products coming into Canada and every other country around the world. Stop selling products to America, and ban Americans from coming into your countries.\nIn less than a month or even less you will have Trump on his knees begging you all. BOYCOTT ALL AMERICAN PRODUCTS!!!!

Americans obviously didn’t understand what tariffs are, didn’t get that it’s an import tax which they must pay on goods and products they buy from Canada, a tax which tRump collects from Americans and uses to pay for tax-cuts for the richest citizens. But one more thing Americans don’t get is that before this fateful day an unofficial boycott against ALL US goods has been growing since tRump insulted Canada’s Prime Minister and threatened Canada’s sovereignty—whereas Canada’s official countervails ( which only kicked-in today )only target certain US goods, not ALL of them like ordinary Canadians are doing in growing numbers right now—in fact, the imposition of tRump’s tariffs today has only made the unofficial boycott bigger and more organized. It’s heartening that so many nations have solicited Canada, offering alternative sources for common US exports to Canada —citrus fruits, pharmaceuticals, and other manufactures, to name a few.\n\nI don’t think Canadians even realize how big this unofficial boycott is getting because it’s growing so fast. I’ve never seen a surge in Canadian patriotism like this. Never in my seven decades —which includes the two Referenda on Quebec separation. And there’s a federal election approaching when all partisans will be one-upping each other in the patriotism department—which manifests in more boycotts of US goods and hospitality services.\n\n Americans should know that the unofficial boycott is more harmful to US exporters than the official targeted countervails because it features immediate and longterm diminishment of Canadian purchases of US goods—all retailers know it’s very hard to recover lost customers once they’ve found alternatives (and the added patriotic effect only makes it worse). Included is diminishment of Canadian visits to the USA. Indeed, the internet is replete with testimonies of Canadian”snow birds” not only forgoing their annual sojourn in the Florida or Arizona sunshine but also of selling their properties there with the parting shot, “I will never vacation in the US again!” Already Mexico has seen its visits from Canadians (who have had a modest presence in Mexico for years) surge to unprecedented levels. I know from much-welcomed temp Mexican construction workers in BC (where I live) that they view Canadians completely differently from our mutual US neighbours—and now that affection is growing like never before. \n\nI’m continually amazed at how uninformed Americans are about tariffs—and misinformed by tRump and his goofy, preposterous, and ridiculous fantasy of world-domination. When tRump uses the lame excuse to implement emergency powers —that Canada is “allowing” (as Vance puts it) fentanyl to “pour into the USA”—it’s tantamount to saying Ukraine started the war with Russia. The man is a tendentious liar and narcissistic megalomaniac. \n\nI have faith that the great nation of the USA will reject tRump’s crazy policies—we all just have to hang on and let the needless suffering for both our nations (and the world with regard strategic alliances) play out until he either relents, is swamped in legal repercussions, is impeached, or otherwise removed from office!\n\nGood luck my American and Ukrainian friends!

American here who is MAD AS HELL at dirty, filthy trump!! Hit the switch, Canada! TURN OFF THE POWER. BOYCOTT ALL AMERICAN PRODUCTS. JACK UP THE TARRIFS. Economic pain is, unfortunately, all that the average dumbed-downed MAGA Americans understand.

We know why HE is doing this. He is pushing an imperialistic agenda, so he can be like those he admires. He's hoping that Canada will bend at the knee and give in so that he can claim Canada as a 51st state. But guess what? That won't happen. He's just doing himself and his country harm. He doesn't care about you, or me, or us as two countries that have always worked together. But we are setting up border security to keep American drugs, and weapons, and illegal migrants from coming into Canada. We're going to have to survive by reverting our trade to elsewhere, to depend on ourselves, to boycott U.S. products. We may be nice, but we are also tough. We love our society, our democracy, and our benefits. We won't give that up. Growing up, I lived in South Western Ontario, I used to go back and forth from Canada to the U.S. with no issues. Now, I'm sad to say, I won't ever be going to the U.S. again. Let's all hope for a brighter future for both countries.

All you Canadian that want to boycott American products….. why are you still here using “YouTube”? It’s American product, including Facebook, “X”, IPhone for example!!!

We must boycott all American companies and American consumer products and chains starting immediately. We must make local products for our population, this will create jobs locally and boost our economy. Start making local products that are better than the US and market them as locally made and owned by our own population.

As an American I believe ALL Canadians should boycott US products and spending in the USA. This is not how the USA should treat its allies and friends. Now Canada will never trust the US and things will escalate. To all those commenters that say the USA has the upper hand and will win this battle, yeah maybe so but that's not how you treat allies and in the end the common man on both sides of the border will suffer. Tariffs are a US consumer tax. The country getting tariffed doesn't pay the 25% lol
