As a Canadian, I work in healthcare in the disability sector, and I am extremely frustrated with what I am seeing the Indian population taking over the sector. There are ongoing issues with Indians who cannot communicate clearly in English with clients. This has resulted in serious confusion and, on several occasions, situations escalating into violence. Clear communication is essential in healthcare, and this failure puts vulnerable clients at risk. Clients are not being provided with proper meals that meet their dietary needs. Instead, food is often prepared without consideration for the client’s usual diet, which has caused clients to become physically ill. On top of that, basic food safety practices are not being followed at all. To make matters worse, the company does not provide proper foodsafe training, despite it being a legal requirement. There are also major professionalism issues. Some Indians arrive late to work—sometimes by hours—and give excuses with no consequences. I have documented these incidents and reported them to upper management, yet nothing is done. During shifts, 90 percent of Indian staff sit in the office for long periods, leaving clients unattended except for basic cooking. This can go on for days until white staff are scheduled. One incident that really stood out involved a client returning from a doctor’s appointment. When I asked how it went, I was told the client “had something on his head” and needed to use a cream. When I asked what the condition was or whether it was contagious, the Indian staff member did not know what the word contagious meant let me remind you I work in health care. I later learned from the client’s mother that it was a fungal infection information that should have been clearly communicated immediately for everyone’s safety. I am exhausted by the lack of standards, accountability, and training in this workplace. If you are going to work in healthcare in Canada, you must be able to communicate effectively, follow food safety laws, show up on time, and provide proper care. Lowering standards for the Indian population puts vulnerable people at risk, and management allowing this is unacceptable. If your coming to Canada follow are values and beliefs are stay in India.

Watched a Transport Truck back His trailer over a snow bank then get it stuck in a ditch just this morning. All these comments are correct. We are all sick and bloody tired of what is going on in once a beautiful country here in cal Gary Alberta Canada, especially the Northeast quadrant of the city. It is nothing but people from India. They're Punjab, people from Nigeria, Africa, and the Philippines, and in my experience. I am a blind, white single woman who owns my condo and a perfect parking spot for 8 years. I have bean horrifically harassed, buy these people. Because I would not bow down to their demands to give them my parking stall. They used the Calgary city police as weapons against me. Calling them and telling them I am a child molester, because I was Videoing in public videoing, taking evidence Of what is going on around here? Witches, my constitutional right? They called the cops telling them, I am a racist, a drug dealer, and a killer. They almost we're successful in having my nephew arrested telling the police that he hit their little cockroaches. With his car, the black cop that I invited into my home stupidly. Was Very hot and waning arrest both of us, but there was no damage on the car. No damage on their little cockroaches, no charges, but the black cop 2 hours later cold because he wanted my nephew's license plate number. He was probably trying to catch him driving dirty, but never called back. So he didn't find anything. These people have threatened to shoot me. They have threatened big consequences. They have threatened to slap the f out of me. They have threatened to pop the pimples out of my eyes. And when they found out that I was blind, that's when they ramped up the harassment, the cops did nothing about the threats towards me when they told the cops that we I threatened to kill them. They are the ones that threaten to chop my nephew and his dog up. The cops never did anything about their threats. They told me to stay in my unit for safety or move for my safety. The condo corporation refuses to do anything as well. So if anyone nose a good civil rights lawyer, please reply to me. Because I fear for my life, this is no joke and because I have to move. I will have a good case to sue the condo corporation as I feel unsafe. These people from these countries do not like people. With disabilities, they believe that we are a curse and that we are a waste of society.

I'm a proud Canadian Immigrant of Indian origin. I came here to do specialized studies in Game Development. I took my time, and studied 6 years as an international student, paying 3x the tuition, sank $200,000 of hard earned money into the Canadian Education system — Not as a fast track gimmick to immigrate, but so I could achieve my dream as a Game Developer. This money was family income, earned on 1/4th the salary, taking 4x longer to save. I was a great privileged to me. Today 15 years later, no one would ever think I'm from India. I sound Canadian, I behave Canadian, I have Canadian values, and I am Canadian. I came here because I loved Canada. I would watch hours upon hours of indigenous history, and on my Citizenship day, I watched Juno Beach to celebrate. However I must say this... I suffered through s*icidal depression here for 8 years, because I had far less leverage here than in a developing country, and it's really telling what sort of situation we're all in... Rent caps in Canada were removed... The housing market was open to foreign investors / and real estate monopolies with a 20% year-on-year rise... Rents went from 1000$ to 2100$ MINIMUM for a 1 bedroom through Trudeau's term and the govt said "It's not a federal responsibility"... Auto insurance is like 2.5-3.5k a year in Ontario and if you get a dent, you pay a deductable... I was quoted 8500$ for two wisdom teeth surgeries while it costed me 260$ abroad... During Covid - property owners, banks, and grocery stores exploited our misery and made record profits!... The govt stopped filtering through it's immigrants with "interviews", and it's operating like a scam — "Bring all your foreign money, convert it to CAD, and keep our GDP stable.. while we neither have the infrastructure, nor the job market to support these numbers". I think some accountability is due... these issues are "symptoms", not the problem — The problem is our Liberal govt / policies, and our wonderful voting body who voted Liberal term after term after term while complaining. Why does this govt safeguard extremism, foreign politics, foreign separatism? Khalistanis are as much of a threat / nuance to India than it is to Canada, but in Canada they actually have a unrestricted platform. Instead of resenting immigrants, we need to start resenting how mismanaged Canada is by our govt, and hold our voting body accountable. We had a chance to vote differently, but once again a repackaged and rebranded Liberal term. Because my ethnicity is Indian, I've become an object of collective resentment / hatred, and I don't think that's fair.. Please direct it at your vote, and govt level policies. Why should I (and other's like me) be crucified with the sins of other immigrants? It's like hating all your neighbors in a burning building, when the management has been lighting the fire.

In the UK in 1860 7 year old boys (and girls) worked 12 hour shifts in mines and factories, most died before they had children themselves. A hundred years later in 1960 the school leaving age was 15 and life expectancy had reached 70 plus and people worked a 40 hour week with paid holidays and a pension to come in your later years. The first time in thousands of years that the average person could have a decent life and live more than an average of thirty years. We now just take that for granted and the third world instead of working to improve their own countries want to come here and live off the system we have created. Our polticians have guilt tripped us into having compassion for these people and now the shear weight of numbers is dragging us backwards and reversing 150 years gains, we are now at the point that if drastic is not taken we will be back to pre Victorian times within 10 years.

I know a Indian friend who when he was a student due to climate issue got in a delayed flight in UAE, he hates politics but he follows a philosophy that's eye for an eye, and that is if everyone can be a thief nobody will be a thief, if you steel from me, I've the right to do the same, he was denied a 1 day visa by the UAE government and had to stay in the airport for 15 hours, he was angry, while others in the flight was given a 1 day visa, so say 15 years later, he is running his own business abroad, got a chance in open interview to interview students, saw one was a UAE citizen, he never took the interview for him, his philosophy, after 15 hours of waiting, he will take that student's interview, he took other's interview, after time was over he left the office and later the student left, his attitude is he as the right to do the same.

A couple of weeks ago 3 days before I am due for my first vacation in 8 years, I broke a tooth and tried to see a dentist, no appointments for 4 months. A week later, I am waiting to check into my hotel in Bangkok when I decided to break, and I went to the dentist had some X-rays taken, and 2 teeth pulled out took which less than an hour and cost $104.76. We had an Indian family with 2 smalll kids freeze to death a few winters back trying to cross the border on the Canadian Prairies. It was almost 100 degrees when they left home from India and 24 hours later they were exposed to -35 and didn't have proper clothing. It was only a 2 mile walk but they barely made it half way before they were overtaken by the cold.

And, moreover, with these immigrants forming culturally-insular enclaves/colonies.\n \nSo, it now comes to pass all these years after Enoch Powell, and Jean Raspail, warned us of would eventuate with dismantling borders, concludes with scores of acts of vile terrorism from 2004, being perpetrated by rabid Islamic fundamentalists. I am American born. Came to Canada in 1981 after marrying a Cdn girl. Also, I became a Canadian in 1989, holding on to two citizenships. Fast forward 20 years, and divorce finally showed up. I moved back Stateside when my brother had his 2nd heart attack, to help him with every day things. I was there 10 years before finally moving back to Canada. I knew I would always move back to Canada anyway. Life is just less stressful here. Less to worry about. No fighting for retirement like so many do in the USA for their Social Security for example. No fighting for disability if you need that here. Concerns like that are well looked after in Canada, helping to make sure everyone can live a reasonable standard and quality of life without a battle to do so. The social structure is safer as well. No big gun issues. In the States, I had a reaction to ALEVE which forced me into hospital. 7 hours in, and 5,000 later, I was released. 700 for the EMT ride as well. 1/2 mile ride. In 2017, I had a mild heart attack in Canada. 7 days in. MRI's and every other test you can imagine was done. My total bill was 49 .00. That was for parking, as I drove myself the few blocks to the hospital. It was the only time I had to be in hospital in the 30 years i've been in Canada and I was thankful that we all pitch in to take care of each other with out healthcare. The USA is fine for some but it's no Canada :)

12 year wait for a doctor, three months for a blood test cannot walk into a clinic since covid, have to book online, but can't book online without a doctor, check every day for an appt space- none avail. Literally NO access to medical care and in the ER after seven hours wait they misdiagnose you and fail. Surgery wait is years, and they wont give you a day or time for an appointment, they say they will call you months later to book a time and then never do. There is no longer health care in Canada. Then there is the cost of housing. Then there is Trudeau making news reporting and websites he doesnt like illegal and pushing through laws to let the govt jail you for speech they dont like using anonymous accusers.

I am Indian, moved to Toronto and got my comp sci bachelors at Waterloo. After graduating I could only find a $100k CDN job in Toronto. Moved to US and 10 years later I am making $750k CDN equivalent at FAANG in a product role. I have a big house in NJ, only 1 hour drive to NYC and a small studio apartment in Miami Beach where I go to relax. I have a green card now and will likely get my US citizenship in the next 5 years. Kids are growing up in America with so much opportunities. I couldn't be happier now.

It's a misconception to assume that the US medical care is always better, or that the wait times in Canada are a lot longer.\nWhile there's no question the quality of care depends on where you live, rural areas in both countries don't typically have specialists or all the latest equipment. Major urban areas are much better served.\nAlso, the measured outcomes for many types of surgical procedures are often statistically better in Canada, with higher success rates and better recoveries for many types of procedures. The big difference is because more Canadians have regular check-ups, problems are typically caught sooner, before they become serious. That's a big reason why our life-span is several years higher, and our infant mortality is much lower than the US. Because of the extra co-pay costs or because they don't have insurance and cannot afford basic medical care, many Americans put off doctors visits until they're really sick. \nDuring a routine check-up I was diagnosed with a minor heart condition last September. Was able to see a specialist within 5 weeks. That specialist sent me to a heart surgeon a few weeks later who scheduled an Arterial Ablation day surgery in December. (I walked out 6 hours later...) Hi Tyler , I'm Canadian and i had to have emergency surgery to have a bad gallbladder removed, went in on a Friday evening was admited fairly quickly , had the surgery later that night ( 5 hours ,best sleep ever..lol) , recovery on the Sat and Sunday , and was out by Monday afternoon . While yes we have longer wait times for non life threating issues but when you are in danger our heath care is there . The biggest problem is that because it is free , ppl will go to the emergency room for minor things and tie up the system with trivial matters making the wait times longer.

I'm listening to hear how Canada is not a desirable place to live, bc I have thought it would be a better alternative to the USA. But it still sounds better than life in the USA, if even just slightly. ?\nSo far, I hear 30% taxes on income (which is same in the USA).\nYou have free healthcare, however you have to wait in emergency room for 8 hours.....we DON'T have free healthcare....and guess what? $450+ later, we have still waited 4-10 hours in the ER. \nHere in the USA, our cost of living is insanely high compared to a single and even a double income. Our lowest rent is $1,200 to live in low income surroundings. A rent around $1,800/month will bring you to nicer surroundings in an apartment, but still surrounding areas have crime. \nFood costs are so high, Gas is so high. We haven't bought new clothes for ourselves in YEARS, only for our kids. \nDaycare is $485-500 month per child, even before and after school care. \nHealth insurance averages $145/per person per month, not to mention car insurance which is required to drive. \nSegregation has improved here but is ever being integrated back into our society as racism is kept very alive, even as they constantly teach it in the schools. They say it's to teach history but I believe it is just reinforcing racist ways and thinking patterns. \nI don't blame anyone for wanting to return to the comfort of their own people, language and living and country. \nYou may have us with the cold/hot weather in Canada! \nI didn't know about the Canadian passport being so opportunistic for travelling. That's cool ? \nAs far as desired profession, there are many doctors and teachers that come here to the USA from other countries and are now working as a clerk in the dollar stores here in the US. \nAnd forget work life balance here too. Cost of living here causes so much disruption in our family life. Debt is revolving.\nMy fiance's mother comes from a country in West Africa. She longs to return. She calls the USA a place you come to be a work rat. \nBesides free healthcare, it sounds like USA and Canada are similar. \nOne thing I've heard about Canada is that the government cares about kindness, as well as the banks. I hear that people are generally more courteous in Canada than they are here in the US.

Another thing immigrants should know before they come to canada. They say canada is a cold country. That's true. But they should also know, the weather can be cold and/or windy and/or cloudy and/or rainy and/or overcast and/or very hot and/or very humid. Also the weather can change very quickly. It's not unusual for the weather to change every 2 hours or 4 hours. A few nights ago, the temp was ok for sleeping. Then I woke up 4 hours later because it was too hot. Then I put on the air conditioner. Then 3 hours later I woke up because I was freezing. I had to turn off the air conditioner and put on a blanket. The weather is nuts. Completely nuts.

I as a doctor immigrated to UK because i was forced to by the acts of government hospital and later a well known private hospital, which wouldn't pay on time and would not increase my monthly salary by a mere 25000 rupees and i was made to work odd hours, weekends, eid holidays. Within a year of my arrival i have been medically trained by the consultants here to perform procedures in hospital which i could never have imagined doing back home. I never wanted to leave home but was forced to by people who should have been managing high skilled resources for the betterment of pakistans future, but instead were found bettering there own lives.

Montrealer here. Caribbean restaurants are notorious for having poor service, irregular hours, poor hygiene, long wait times, inconsistent food etc. I've seen them come and go by the dozens and it's sad bc so many of them have really great, whole food (nothing processed) for a decent cost but the reason they can't stay open has more to do with work ethic and business management than patronage. \n\nWe have a huge caribbean community and the locals love the food too but once u get attached to one of these places, they disappear a few months later. Jamaicans especially, Trinidadians seem to be able to make the business side work better.

I’ve had this happen, I’ve been profiled in CVS twice and while I’m being profiled I’ve watched a White guy on one occasion and a black guy stealing like there was no Tomm. \n\nLol.. I didn’t say anything to management but I get close to them and say,” I see you and you know you wrong.” They stop and walk out.\n\nI’m sure they come back later but for a few hours I foil a theft.

White Canadians have mastered the art of racial discrimination while appearing very inclusive and accepting. .....sorry the apartment is already rented is a normal response for the non white prospective renter. The position is already filled ....to the person with the different accent or non European name. Being followed around the store is standard practice..... Shoppers drug mart , Jean Coutou , Best Buy, Bulk Barn , I mean Bulk Barn , with tons of bulk in bins. At the Royal Vic ....a public hospital in Montreal , the non white patient is made to wait for hours as his file for some reason is placed at the bottom of the pile . At a Club in Montreal the non white guy is told that he cannot enter because of his running shoes. His white friends reports later that running shoes were on display at this watering hole. And then there is the not so subtle case of Ketchup squirted on the head of this visible minority kid who was having a beer and minding his own business. I am the person in question . I am non white and I hold a PhD from Mc Gill . I encountered these experiences as a foreign student in 1982. I visited Ottawa last month 2019 .....you guessed it , Bulk barn at Billings bridge profiled me as a danger to the corn flakes bin. Canada is a wonderful country in many respects but it has a side which whites will not normally see because of the pervasiveness of white privileged.

I needed a 1BR apt in Erlanger, KY for my commute and told my husband to come back for me. The manager said I didn’t qualify because my credit score was too low. My husband went in and applied 2 hours later and was approved with a credit score 85 points lower than mine and identical income. I actually had the more diverse credit profile. We walked in together to confront her and she admitted she wouldn’t allow me to live there but my husband was welcome. She said to tell or complain and it wouldn’t matter.
