All leftwing pelple in the comments insulting Trump are enjoying freedom of speech that right wing people are fighting for while if they were in power they would silence half the country on social media. It will bring down democracy everywhere if America goes down this dictatorial path. WWIII will never be Zelenskyy's fault, it will be your country's fault. Ensure that he does not trample your constitution and find military backing to stay on past the four years if you can't get rid of him soon. Get your representatives in Washington to work against this guy, whether they are Republicans or Dems. In all our countries, we have been complacent, streaming movies, gaming, buying stuff we don't need AND we've elected far too many morons! We need to use the power of democracy to form government to our needs, not the corporate world and oligarchs!

Just a reminder, Canada/Trudeau commited multiple atrocities against free speech and wellbeing during covid. One example being how they froze the bank accounts of people peacefully protesting the covid mandates. While I don't agree with the tariffs, everybody here should know Canada isnt the perfect, kind, friendly place you think it is. They will turn totalitarian if given enough power or given the right conditions for it.

I really like the way that he said about he's not going to sugar coat anything and he spoke so clearly to inform Americans what is truly going on with what Trump is doing to this country and Trudeau is telling people the truth just like the leader from North Korea. When you get leaders who barely rare give speeches then you know that they are not bull sh**ing about what they are talking about, but Trump is doing that and he's going to destroy people's lives in America and he's going to destroy America. There are no winners in a trade war. True. Look at history. So sorry about this decision by Trump. This is a very clear speech. May the United States powers that be reconsider this current tariff and fentanyl issues. As an American citizen I wish to work with Canadians and your government. Generations of common goals and friendship need to be upheld. My wish is for reconciliation.

Please keep in mind, that all the issues we have in Canada are because of Trudeau. He's been in power for almost a decade. The widespread drug abuse and crime is because of him being weak on policy and handing out drugs like candy paid by tax payers. More people died from fentanyl in Canada than our soldiers in WWII. That is all on his watch. He is only making these changes because of Trump. What kind of a leader is Trudeau to only become Canada first when a person from outside the country threatens him? He is a horrible leader and a traitor to the Citizens and the Country we call Canada. Regardless of what his speech is, he cannot be trusted with his globalist agenda. He has stepped down (thank goodness!!) and Canada is looking forward to having Pierre Poilievre as our PM.

Trump is a horrible, horrible human. I am devastated over what he is doing. I've never once given Trump my vote and I'm not a lefty liberal. I knew if he was voted in he was going to cause world wide chaos. He has shown his character over and over and over...yet a large portion of American's just ignored it. This election wasn't about republicans or democrats or independents. This election was about humanity and global security. American's ignored the writing on the wall for their own singular wants/opinions. They stand with their Trump flags but only a few of them can actually explain any accurate information about his policy or legal issues and they condone his behavior. The majority of Trumpers claim to be 'Christians'. Christians voting for a man who is a bully, abuser, liar, predator, monger of power, impedes freedom of press and speech and aligns himself with a dictator. He pardoned violent offenders and called them patriotic, spouts false information, obstructs investigations, has numerous felony charges against him and has now made enemies with our allies. Shall I go on? That's not Christian. Even if you aren't Christian...that's not what America stands for. All for what...eggs? Guns? Cheaper groceries? Or because your need for hating a small group of people out weighs global peace. Or is it because you are so short sighted that you can't even see the valuable contribution that non American born people provide this country. Yes, Biden fell asleep at the wheel. Yet many of you still believed the better choice was a psychopath. This election was important. We failed as a country by putting this man in office. No matter what party you align with, we failed. Yes, I want cheaper eggs. Yes, I really need cheaper groceries. But not over the safety of the globe. Not over the lives of the people and children being killed in an unprovoked war. Not over the safety of Europe. Not over ripping off our closest and favorite country that borders us. Not over losing our democracy and our allies. I stand with Ukraine, Canada, Mexico and Europe and the Gulf of Mexico. You should ask yourself what you really stand for.

Good speech but it is better to address the rightful concerns expressed by Trump and his Commerce Secretary, in an indoor meeting and adjust Canada’s policies where it can be done easily in partnership with U.S. Diplomacy and honesty is needed, not posturing! \n\nTrump is here to stay for 4 years with full powers and working with him after initial show off of resistance is the key to reduce pain for both sides.

It was dumb for you to shut down every project that Alberta had to work with other provinces and trade with other parts of the world. It was dumb for you to continually suck up to Quebec while ignoring the rest of the country. The corruption we know of that your party created such as We Charity and Arrivecan app is just the tip of the iceberg of billions of dollars you have robbed from Canadian taxpayers that could have fixed health care and provided much needed tax relief to all Canadians.
