I feel sorry for the guy, but the way it seems for many people who want to come to Canada or America is that they think we are going to let them in no questions asked and we have unlimited resources to help them. Yes we are fortunate enough to be wealthier than most other countries, but that does not mean we are able to accommodate every single person who wants to live in our country

He cant prove he would be persecuted if he went back because he has been in the US illegally for 10 years, of course they would turn down his asylum application, he doesn't have a case for asylum. Seems like a devoted Dad and a willing worker...but if he had the money, why not enter the U.S. legally? This is really simple. Don't offer people free stuff. And don't make special exceptions for people. There are tons of people that come to canada (many just visiting or working) and just stay here rather than go through the proper steps (and get denied) because they know some bleeding heart liberals looking down on them will offer a bunch of them amnesty if they wait long enough and pay off the right people. You don't have to live in toronto very long to meet people who have taken advantage of the system in this way.

They did the same thing to my husband. He married a Canadian woman and had Canadian children... But that wasn't enough... Then he was robbed and assaulted in a bad part of town which gave him extra time only because the supreme court wanted to prosecute the assailants who had attacked my husband... If it werent for the attack he would have been deported at least a year earlier... My husband had legitimate reasons to not want to return to his home country (also Honduras) and aside from that he has children and a wife....\n\nThey say there are laws and this and that... That a refugee cannot enter illegally into Canada and become a successful Canadian....that they have to enter legally.... But how can they enter legally when they cannot get a visa in their own country.... Now we are pushing for humanitarian and compassionate grounds... But life is hard in Honduras and we dont know how much longer he can suffer there before he makes the decision to take the long illegal trek to the north once again...

I know the past actions of people greatly influence lives today.As a citizen of Canada I think all of us have to accept each others culture and color..we can learn alot from each other!!Racism goes both ways..whites against blacks...black against white..this really has to stop so we can move on! Unlike his extended illegal stay in the US, he went through the proper legal process in Canada and was rejected. Then skipped a meeting with officials and moved his family and by doing so, cheated the system, thus expending his illegal stay.\nWhy am I supposed to feel sorry for him?
