As an Indian, this feels really heartbreaking. Hearing the worsening experiences of Canadians themselves, i dont Know what to say. There are a couple of things, which i have noticed so far. both the canadian government, and the Indian students shifting to Canada are at wrong. I wont take the side of the Indians. I totally believe in learning about the culture, the language of the place, u are shifting to, solely for education purposes, but most of the students, especially indians forget that. Even i would not feel fine if someone(immigrant) would come to my home country without knowing about the culture, the language, and just simply misuse our resources. \nBoth the parties have resulted in breaking the trust of the canadians. Despite having excellent credentials and expertise, I was not selected for any interview because I am not Canadian. Thus, give up lying and acting like the victim. Concentrate on the real issue. You are the preferred candidate for any employer if you are Canadian and meet the requirements.

I think that what you are describing is the case in most western traditionally European countries. I also think that is on purpose. I live in the US and have my entire life, I'm in my 50's (let's just leave that there!). the same can be said for many places in this country. I've lived in newengland my whole life. it used to be considered the benchmark when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's , as far as cost of living , cost to buy a home , wages and job opportunities , quality of life, safety. its not the case now. I did recently move to extreme northern new England this year as southern New England where I grew up and my family is , too crowed, too expensive etc. I am within 1-5 miles of Canadian border where I am now, but still in US! I do have a current passport, just renewed it and plan to visit NB and Quebec City and hopefully PEI . I do live in a very rural area with low population currently. farming and timber are main industries here. not a lot going on, but at my age I really enjoy it. reminds me of how things used to be when I was growing up 40 years ago! people and even young people are polite and decent here, no traffic. its a bubble, but we are 500 miles from the chaos to the south. The thing that pisses me off is that this happening on purpose. The world is changeing and it's never coming back again. I live in Canada over 30 years, and I never accepted this country as my home, Canada wasn't my choice. I wanted stay in Europe in Germany, country that was stolen from Germans, I am from Europe and there is my home we wore sent far away to another continent from our own, far from families and tradition, culture, religion, Europeans people wore replaced with different ethnic group of people from different continents with different values, religions, cultures and traditions. Legal immigration is only a positive thing if those coming in are doing it legally and are willing to adopt the countries cultural values and legal structure. As a permanent resident who immigrated from Eastern Europe, passed all the stages of the official immigration program (skilled worker) I'm just shocked what is happening in Canada. Canada is lost, the problem is much deeper than you think. The main problem is not low wages, high property prices, etc, the root cause is that native Canadians are too tolerate, too kind, too polite and can't just say (and act) - get fucking out of my country, all those illegal indian students and temporary workers. \nI believe cultural damage being done to this country is much more dangerous than any possible economic benefits from mass immigration. People shouldn’t be allowed to scam and not pay rents. But I also don’t believe people should be allowed to own residential properties as investments. Theres no shortage of other things to invest your money in. If people couldn’t own residential properties for renting purposes these scammers wouldn’t be able to do this. They would have to buy a home or nothing. Also homes would be less expensive with no investors in the market.
