All I can say as an American is that the giant majority of us do not want this at all. Donald does not speak for us and Canada and Mexico are our friends, especially in trade and culture. Our election system is so antiquated that tons of young people sat out and the swing states have all the power here. Plus, I don't think Mexico, Canada, France, Ukraine or any of you guys need to be apologetic, the US is what it is now

How about trade between Canadian provinces? First, we should remove interprovincial tariffs. I live in BC so I paid extra tax the Alberta oil much more than American. Canadian here: I don’t agree with the WSJ that DJT is a very smart man. I think they are just being diplomatic and putting the emphasis on the actions, rather than speaking ad hominem. I think he is crafty, but not well-informed, or logical. Even if he is smart, he is not wise, and there is a huge difference. If you read Proverbs, you’ll see he has the traits of a nabal, a fool. Plus, he is showing signs of cognitive decline. That’s not his fault, but he should be reassessed, and then those who CAN act, need the courage to do the right thing for the sake of the US and the world.

I believe Trump has expressed interest in annexing Canada, possibly in collaboration with Putin. I think it’s a possibility worth considering given the geopolitical landscape. Canada’s valuable resources make it a desirable target. \nMoreover, I believe Canada’s indirect involvement in the conflict with Russia puts Canada in a vulnerable position.

I am a conservative and I admit that Donald Trump's tariffs will have a negative impact on Americans. If you think businesses are going to pay for the increased cost of importing and are not going to scale back their labor forces are raise prices you don't have an understanding of business and finance. The whole purpose of going into business is to maximize profit therefore they are going to offset the costs by raising prices on goods for Americans and vice versa. This is a trade war. Thanks.
