Heavy hearts here today in Canada??????. Life doesn’t have to be so hard. This is a dark day for us. We really like our neighbors the USA. \nLooking forward to the day we are joined with our fellow neighbors again in fair trade!\nWe will visit you when things are better but not until then.

I’m Canadian. My family have always been Liberals but I’m not much of a Trudeau fan myself. For today, it doesn’t matter whether you like the man or not, Trudeau deserves a standing ovation for his speech and the actions he is taking. That’s what a leader of a country should sound like and react like. It’s going to be a tough road ahead for us but together we will pull through this. Stay strong my fellow Canadians, we got this. ❤

As an American the citizens don't really have a choice on what trump decides to do. If you want to match his 25% tariffs I think you should. We qlso don't want to help putin hurt others. We want to work with Canada our allies. I don't personally know anyone that doesn't agree with this but that doesnt meant they do not exost.

Why can’t we have a real leader like this! Instead we have a belligerent egomaniac Russian asset as president. He shouldn’t have even had 10% of the vote. Things are going to cost more for all.of us, well- now in Canada our eggs are now cheaper as we have to shop by bus! As an American, I've been trying to work out in Alberta as a Pipe Insulator for over five years with no response, but you guys let in other foreign nations. How about you give the people in the US citizenship if we are seeking refuge. I want out of this crappy over priced country more than you know, and all of my Canadian friends have way more respect, values and integrity that the people in the 40's 50's 60..etc used to have in this country. I was never a fan of Trudeau, but compared to Trump he is a breath of fresh air. Give it 3 years and 10 months and Americans will be back to sanity. Don't know if America will be in one piece though. Tit for tat. If you want to get rid of tariffs let's get rid of tariffs on your side and that's all of your tariffs that you have implemented on our products for years. Bridges leveling the playing field. So it's okay for you to impose tariffs on others but not for us to impose tariffs just like you do to us

I'm Canadian and I highly dislike Trudeau. But he is correct when he asks how do you negotiate with someone who wants to annex your country? Remind me again why Trudeau was forced to resign? Even NY Times investigative journalists recently explained how NAFTA worked against US interests and killed so much of our industry decades ago; almost the opposite of what was intended. Trade needs to be reformed across the board. It's also insulting the way other world leaders are now speaking directly to the American Public and lying to them as if they have our best interest in mind. World leaders are elected to defend the interests of their own people, many times they just look out for their own personal interest, but they are definitely not looking out for American interest. It is up to us. The world stage is a complicated transaction of this for that. That's life. Have you all forgot playing United Nations in high school? Trade needs to be renegotiated from significantly benefiting every other country but USA. Trump is trying to do that.
