I hate this so much. I know it’s not these peoples fault that their countries aren’t helping them but America isn’t even helping its own people. Imagine how it feels to be from the US struggling and then these people come and somehow our country has the means to help them when they won’t not can’t won’t help their own. What other country do you know of where you can just decide to cross their boarder demand help and say you know what I’m just going to live here illegally now. And if we don’t help them they have all kinds of ways to sue the state and demand help even though they’re not even citizens. That’s what’s crazy to me. They make you do a bunch of stuff before you can travel and some countries won’t even let you visit let alone live there with or without a criminal record but these people can just walk right in. Any countries borders are important they are there for protection. Ours are not being protected which means the country is not protected. I just don’t see this turning out well for anybody, not them not us. There is a scene from the titanic that I’d like to relate this situation to. The scene where Roses mom is in the boat with that other lady who has new money the chubby one. She wanted to let people on the boat that were drowning around her, and dude wouldn’t let her. It wasn’t because he was being mean it was because if people started holding onto the boat and trying to get on the boat they would panic, and eventually everybody would swarm the boat. The boat would not have been able to hold the weight of everyone holding onto it. Well the same here there’s people who are already drowning, and other people from other countries want to come here, but all they’re gonna do is sink the ship, and then there will be no help for anybody and everyone will be doomed. No I have nothing against people coming here but not this way. I welcome anybody that wants to be here to work but not this way. America has its our own problems and the citizens pay taxes that are never used to help them. Instead the government gives money away to other countries like it’s nothing. I don’t mind helping anyone anywhere but when the money we pay the government doesn’t go to help it’s own citizens first idk that’s not right to me. We should be helping our own people first. Anyway this isn’t the right way to come I to America. This isn’t fair to the rest of us. We pick up the bill not the government. Help your own citizens America we need help too!!!!!!!

First of all, Trump did have immigration policy, so right there you’re lying he had the wall because the people coming and trafficking children and don’t forget about the cartels that are killing people with drugs … as far as let’s just call it the gays because that’s what it is we have no problem with that. Canadas system is miles better then the US's thats for D**n sure. \n\nBut u are missing a major point here. One is to be a citizen to Canada and one is to be a citizen to the US. A country that is the world leader in GDP and Profits. \nCanada is making it super easy cause no one wants to go there as there isnt really anything there to strive for. \n\nI hate America just like most liberals do but the right wing puppets do have one thing going for them America is one of the biggest super powers on the planet. In some cases the Biggest period. Point being this vid was cool but no one is waiting decades to go to Canada meanwhile some will die before ever getting proper citizenship in the US. One thing I would like to note is that Canada is not welcoming in only highly skilled workers. If you can work at a Tim Horton's you qualify. This has lead to a flood of new workers who HAVE to have a job in order to stay at a time where the existing labour pool is refusing work due to pay lagging far behind inflation for two decades. Those salaries discrepancies you listed are not exclusive to the tech sector, they are economy wide. Often you'll here talk of a labour shortage in Canada, but ask for the number of applicants to jobs and you quickly find out the reason no one accepted is because the full-time job offered requires a part-time job to barely make ends meet. \n\nAnother factor is that housing happens to be the bread and butter of ~40% of our MP's. Hell our Minister of Housing himself owns properties that have appreciated massively due to the lack of supply and high demand. He then goes on national TV and says high immigration will solve the housing crisis despite Canada already having over 4% of our entire labour force already in the construction industries (America is a little over 3%) and the men and women who build our houses being unable to afford the homes they build ($22.07/hr CAD average or ~$16.66 USD. compared to $22.29/hr USD). 14% of our national GDP is housing. 14% of our entire economy is just money changing hands internally with nothing of value made. \n\nThen you have the combo of landlords benefiting from the immigration programs who try and evict the tenants on their properties to replace them with immigrant labour. They then take the cost of rent right out of their salaries. The workers can't quit their jobs because if they don't have a job they are at risk of being deported and also loosing their homes so they end up shacking 8 to an apartment to try and make ends meet. This becomes the standard the rest of the economy has to meet. \n\nIt is a rare sight to see someone who is anti-immigrant in Canada, but the majority of people here understand that immigration is a problem the way it is currently run. You have people who come here hoping for a new life being forced to sleep outside under bridges because while they may have a job they don't have a home and the shelters are already 200% capacity. Tent cities are the norm in any major urban centre now. There are crack dens in Toronto that are the same price as Castles in the UK. And this problem is only going to get worse.

I live in Québec, borned and raised here too. I would NEVER move to USA. There is no good reason to do that. As a woman, I would fear for my safety, my health and my rights on my body. Hell fucking no. This country feels like it's back to the 1800s with all these guns and archaic laws. The Far West era is far far away behind us, and it should stay right there. There was a time I would have. My father and Grandfather grew up in New York city as children and spoke highly of the States. Since 2016 I would seriously not consider living there. The gun violence that occurs their has gotten to the point that it has to be especially eggregious before it makes the news. The cavalier attitude towards guns and gun saftey is disturbing even from your politicians. it would be a recipe for loosing your privalege to own a firearm in Canada if you did what many of us see americans do with their guns. Open carry. Not allowed. Concealed carry. Not allowed. There are courses you need to take and pass on firearm saftey and gun use here, before you are given the privaledge of owning a firearm. Those firearms need to be stored properly or carried in cases at all times when not in use \n\nThat being said I have done those courses and I own guns. Rifles to be precise and a shot gun I use for hunting food. Pistols are not easy to get here and you can only use them on a range. The only people legally carrying pistols in public are the police.\n\nHealthcare is fine if you are young and healthy, with a job. If i showed up at 53 with a handfull of pre-existing conditions, I would be in bad shape.\n\nYour record on lgbtq+ and a woman's right to bodily autonomy is back slipping to the 1950's. Some politcians (not sure what level, state or federal) are looking to even reverse the position on interracial marriages for pete sake.\n\nI think if Voter appathy is allowed to continue, the vocal minority of people who want this will get their way despite the fact that the polls suggest the majority of americans hate what is happening

Hi beautiful ladies, you guys hit the nail right in the head. I have just subscribed to your Chanel as I came across it. Well done. I hope our people in Africa will see this and realize what we are going through here. One thing you missed is if you have a house and kids going to University you are screwed. You can never save money. All your money goes into the mortgage. The system here allow laziness for the lazy people. If you are average person you worked hard and some of your money goes to the lazy ones sitting at home. There are so many stuffs. ❤

I had opportunities in the past to move to the US but I did not go for them, I think sometimes due to simple inertia. If I had another chance now, I would definitely turn it down. The country south of here is facing dark times. Political polarization started decades ago already with the Tea Party, but now it reached a point when there are forces that have shaken the very trust in the most fundamental aspects of America, the ideas and institutions it was built on and which are still strong and valid. For centuries America was the beacon for freedom and equal rights. Now a large portion of the population is being made believe that the country became deeply corrupt and only a strong man can make things right. As long as people keep their heads in the sand , don't look around and allow things to develop in this dangerous direction (on top of the gun culture, health care, etc), the future of the US looks pretty bleak.

For all the amazing things the US has to offer, right now we don't even want to visit there, let alone move there. We've talked about it a lot, but nope. In Canada, generally speaking (although there are exceptions to every rule) we have no idea what political leaning our neighbors favor. Political campaigns last no more than 51 days; they do not start the day after the last election and go on for years. This way, elected officials actually do some work instead of campaigning. Right now, the politics in the US, as well as the judiciary, are literally insane. Gun violence in the US is insane, as is the attitude towards guns. It shouldn't take a shooting that affects you personally to make you care about it, and it's not just at schools. The US has had 28 mass killings, with 140 victims, in 6 months... but the problem is that no one down there cares about that enough to stop it, or even discuss ways to stop it. The politics is so sold out to corporations that what is good for the people just doesn't matter. It is capitalism run amok. Environmental protections? They are an inconvenience, and most of them were rolled back a few years ago under the presidency of He Who Must Not Be Named. So politics, elections, shootings... but wait. There's more. I have a wonderful friend in the US who has amazing health care, and yet when he got cancer, he was screwed. We do pay a health care premium up here, but it is a drop in the bucket compared to what people in the US pay for private insurance. Yes, you have the best hospitals in the world, but it doesn't matter if you can't afford to walk in the door. Now dump the intolerance -- racism, homophobia, religious zealots, misogyny (yes, I am talking women's rights, equal pay, access to health care, etc) -- throw in the crazies with guns, and now ask the question again. I absolutely know that Canada is not perfect, and that the tolerances and attitudes towards all these subjects differs from region to region, but overall we are a country that tries to respect the rights and needs of others, that has empathy for others, that wants to help others, and that is a pretty firm foundation to make us want to stay here. (please don't interpret this as all Americans and all areas of the US have no respect etc... but the predominant issues of health care, politics, religion, corporate greed, and violence, now all supported by a bat-crap crazy SCOTUS, sadly spills and taints it all. I know there are amazing, generous, kind people all over the US, but I don't know where the crazies are or where they might pop up).

Glad you mentioned racism: Canada is a ewhite nation because it destroyed the original indigenous population and i am amongst those that believes its far too late to change now. We nearly succeeded. Starting to protect other colours now and accept immigrants of other colors is a mistake. I am Canadian, I was born here in the 60's, I've travelled around the world, including the US but have always lived and worked in Canada. I love my country. saying that now....\nThe last 10 years for Canada has been the worst ever in history, our government has destroyed the foundation of what it means to be Canadian and has made this country look very bad on the world stage.\nEventually that will change. This currently gives reasons why a Canadian wants to move from Canada.\nYou are right about the US, there are places you can move to that offer quiet, country, safe living but like Canada, those places usually trade the good life for lack of opportunity.. the difference is most of Canada gives you the good life and opportunity in the same place. A good example, Billings Montana or Red Deer Alberta... if you compare the 2, they are close, but overall life in Red Deer would be better.\nCulture has changed thoughts too, I could never get used to seeing anyone other that law enforcement carrying a gun.. Sad thing is Venezuelans and Hondurans have very good reasons for wanting to flee here but we’re so full up with all the useless life barnacles that came here illegally that we are forced to stop people who are left with no choice but to try something like this. Racism happens to a lot of races here in Canada and around the world and I think will always be the case. My mom came from the Philippines and worked two jobs back to back for 17 years and was bullied so badly by East Indians because they ran her work place but she had to stay strong and deal with that among other things while growing up but is still grateful to Canada until this day. My ex girlfriend of many years was Congolese but grew up in Kenya and yes I felt racism on her part when we were together and it was frustrating and sad but again it came from all races not just white people. She is still grateful for Canada and always stayed strong and didn’t let these idiotic attitudes tear her down. Hopefully things will change in the world but the state it is in right now doesn’t seem to be the case.

If you understood the s*** that was going down in Venezuela, you would be fighting for these people to have Asylum here. Do you know how much of Texas is unoccupied? Like SO much of it. It's not a very densely populated state. It can take years for Asylum Seekers to go through the process legally. Don't they deserve some level of safety while the process is sorted out? And instead we keep instituting policies that make things even more difficult and create even more tension. Nobody is fully in the right here necessarily, but people really need to start approaching this with much more empathy and Humanity. If you guys really have such a problem with all the migrants being in Texas, there's always Wyoming. Nobody lives in Wyoming. There's plenty of space in Texas, of course, since most people live around the Metropolitan areas.... But Texas isn't always known for its warm fuzzies. Wyoming is just Cheyenne and a bunch of wind. I certainly don't see the harm.

There's problem through out the world and other countries is suffering as well my families came here the right way from Asia in the early 70s' we worked hard and became US citizens it's hard in the US so many homeless peoples in every states doing this isn't going to help! You got to do it the right way don't cheat those who are actually trying to come here correctly!

Even tho I don’t think this is correct, U.S people luckily finds themselves on a good position to see this just as people making a tantrum to enter the U.S, proudly I say I’m Mexican American and I’ve lived in Mexico and Brasil as well, non of those Latin American countries I lived is as bad as Venezuela and even like that I’ve seen some very messed up shit, they are countries with a huge culture and beautiful but on the lowest levels it’s a pretty dark place to be…so for the USA people here that is heavily throwing shit, be some kind of human try to understand at least , I get it, I don’t think this is the way neither, but they are not just people trying to invade to take over or whatever, I even saw a comment saying that they should shoot those Venezuelans, the world is a pretty messed up thing now, and luckily or unluckily we don’t really know a shit about it, they are DESPERATE it seem like they were violent and most probably some of them tried to get violent but most of them is just desperate people trying to have it better in their only and one only lives..worst yet, if you have a kid, imagine how worried would you feel for not being able to provide your kid with a good life… see the people in the front for example, they were people begging and crying, is being desperate for having something better, and this is a really biiiiiiig subject with a lot of issues, wrongs, misunderstanding… you don’t know how bad is going in Venezuela, not even me, but I can imagine it cuz I know how bad some people have it in Mexico, and they don’t know how them illegally getting into the US is going to affect the US, I try to get all points so I don’t think this is correct, this kind of events shouldn’t be happening, but I also understand, just to put it in perspective, I’ve talked with some people from Venezuela and they’ve told me some crazy stuff, quick example. Some are trying to reunite with family, some are fleeing poverty and feel America is the best place to come up but it's those that are fleeing violence that concern me. We can't take on the world in one nation only to have some immigrants globally thumb their noses up at our traditions, rights we had to fight for, housing we need etc. The sad fact is running to America isn't the Answer. We fight the Middle East who will never change but we need to turn our attention to Mexico, the island nations and South America. It doesn't matter if people who won't change are overwhelming our nation. The violence you escape still comes here. It's getting to the point of entitlement. I've known immigrants who had to pay out-of-state fees while living in America until they could gain a visa but those from the south refute this and demand in state tuition or the same rights as those who took classes and became legal citizens the right way. So much violence from gangs and the cartel but we can't help by just opening the borders. It's time the South changed and took out the gangs and cartel for good to make a better life . Moreover, greedy leaders need to be taken out if necessary so these people can have a better future. The south and certain islands can't really say America should mind its business because these invasions are our business. When we are flooded with ethnic groups of people it becomes America's business nationwide.

The people coming in know that they aren't going to get shot so why not try? Worst case scenario they'll just get sent home. It’s heart breaking that these individuals are this desperate to leave their own country! Our country is going downhill faster than ever. But they still want to come here. Remember when we used to have leverage, and we could do things to get other countries to become better for their own people? I do. Why isn’t our government working on trying to keep Mexicans in their own country by negotiating trade deals, and making sure Mexico is being responsible of a leader of their own country as we are of ours? Oh that’s right because we haven’t been responsible. It’s all going pear-shaped and everybody’s at risk.

i used to feel for these people i really did, then i started travelling to 3world countries and have learned that every misery they face in there is a result of their own culture/mindset and i started to have no mercy and today I am fully ‘MAGA and have no mercy for any of them. Latin here, I came here legally but I can tell you that it was difficult as hell for my mom to bring me here, it took money and years for that, but I want you as a fellow citizen to understand their situation first, in Latin America you could be graduation from college and even with that having a good job it’s difficult sometimes, unlike here education in Latin America is not always something that all people can get and every time they vote for someone it becomes more trashier, housing for the poor doesn’t even exist, half of the country is corrupt and going outside you don’t who you may find, my brother needs to wait 7 years to become a resident (not citizen) he will be 30 something at that point, what the government should do is make the residency easier and I can tell you something like this wouldn’t occur that easily, my mom is a lawyer in my country and I can tell you the situation wasn’t easy, every three times a week there would be shooting outside my house, drug dealer was my neighbor, and at the age of 15 there would parents of two kids the sad part all this is normal, stopping it is imposible because it gets you kill, the police will kill you for doing a peaceful protest just to stop feminicide, wanting your kid to go outside without being scare something would happen to them, this people want peace and a job that is it and when your own country doesn’t even give you the right for that how could you live? Latin America is like living in the worst state in U.S multiply by 1000 and happening the same thing every day, riots or protest are imposible there because you know the police will never go the peaceful way, what this people are doing is wrong but they just want to live, it even surprise how much people hate their president here when in Latin America there hasn’t been any good president in decades. The thing is, these people have no legal right to entry, regardless of their circumstances. 99% of those charging the boarder are economic migrants with no valid claim to asylum. Making it here (or past the boarder) doesn’t equal being able to stay here. The house will very likely flip to the Republicans in 2024. With even a possible super majority. As will the presidency. This means that most of these people will face mass deportation. And all their struggles to get here will have been for naught.

Wow! That was wild. Here in San Ysidro everything was calm and actually civil. People waited their turn. I live nearby so I saw it with my own eyes. People at las Americas outlet would pass by food to them and the officers gave them the food. I was an immigrant 35 years ago I am now a us citizens and although I love the USA, I will always remember the struggles I had to go through. The hunger, the injustice, the reject and the cultural assimilation, learning a new language, and work work work until I couldn’t no more. All those efforts paid off and I believe EVERYONE has a right to have a better life. I have family members in Canada and Europe who are also immigrants and also go through these struggles. If they don’t make it to the USA, I hope the Mexican government takes advantage of this immigration influx, after all, the USA is great because of us.
