I went to Conestoga college, and I wish your mon read my words. Canadians, should consider that international students are paying around 20k yearly to Canada Colleges institutions that are not offering better education than the one provided in their own countries for way less than 30k. Other developed countries, like Germany or Belgium offer the same programs to international students for around 8k yearly, but, the international students rather come to Canada which also offer an easier path to become PR. But then, they crash with the reality and they realize that even many Indians can't speak proper English to be competitive in a Canadian College or in a Canadian company. Unfortunately, Canadians educational institutions know that the English spoken by international students is not enough but, they send them an acceptance letter from the institution so they can come and study in Canada. So, the real problem are the Canadian public colleges and Universities accepting people with a poor English level from overseas. Canada is a great place to be but, this kind of actions make their productivity poor which is in reality the problem behind the bad economy development when compare with similar developed countries. So, your mon should first blame its own country policies and educational institutions rather than international students for that kind of behaviors when they are students. Also, you should put your self in their shoes, learn German and go to Germany and see how easy is to manage to get a waitress job only in German in a city like Cologne. And then remember that this international students are bringing 20k from their countries economy to Canada each one yearly. Know, think how many Canadians bring 20k yearly to India or Nepal... I find it hard to believe that Canadas schools are so good that students line up to attend. Sounds like a money making scheme. The degrees and diplomas aren’t worth the paper they are written on.

You are absolutely right dear. I've lived in Canada since November 1968, moving from England where I consider trying to live there to be even worst than Canada. I am 82 years old now, having survived through a number of hard times here. However when I have finally paid off my mortgage, I'm going to have a little money to travel for three or four months every year, but I have to stay in Canada for at least 183 days each year to continue receiving my pension.

Canadian here, from Vancouver. This is 100% true. Why do we accept so many immigrants? Because we have to. We can't afford to have our own kids. It's too expensive. As my kids are finishing their post secondary education, I'm going to suggest taking their edu and leaving Canada for the USA - higher wages, more affordable cost of living. It's actually simple math.

Canada has really gone downhill in the last few years. I got here on 2017 and it was an entirely different country. I was diagnosed with cancer that year and was cancer free by 2018 thanks to Canada's health care system. If that happened in 2023 I don't think I would have made it to 2024.

I appreciate the way you present the reality. One way to cope with salaries and taxes is to open you own enterprise. This is the canadian way of growing fron a wealth point of view. As a person leaving from a salary, it is still possible to grow depending on your skills. But beggining your own business to exploit your skills will make you 'fly' to the next level, which is the actual way of growing. It took me a lot of years to realice this. Just think about it, provinces allow medecins to incorporate what means that they will pay less taxes and become richer sooner. This is just my thought, other people may think in a different way, I just try to give positive ideas.\n\nSecondly, Canada is still a country to live in a bit better than other countries considering many things happening around the world. Crime and economics is worst everywhere also. But, it all depends on what criteria counts for you. About society, it's not easy to make real friends except other inmigrants that need it too. However, the quality is rather inferior to HKG or even in Maindland China. The Dentistry is not free, by the way. and other specialist, such as Protates (Yes, for aged man like me ), the quality (cure results) are really 2 levels down. I understand you. I’m christian and lived 5 years in Turkey. I was a minority and missed a lot being in a Christian community. I live now in Canada and feel home. I believe that there is more option for muslim people (specially woman that must feel concern about hijab etc).

Canada is to expensive. Health care is so slow you could end up waiting up to 12hours in the waiting room to see a doctor and up 6 months to get surgery it’s absolutely ridiculous in Canada. The government takes 60% of your paycheque in taxes. Find a more affordable country.

What you say about the drag and above all school and education : you seem to want to look cool and nice and all of a sudden, at the turn of a phrase, you show for what you are : intolerant people, incapable to live with others. I have many muslim friends and they love it here in Canada, they know they have to adapt to to a new way of life. \nMaybe look into going to Pakistan or Malaysia, Afghanistan can be an option. \nDon't let the door hit you on your way out.

I was genuinely thinking of moving to Canada, but I'm glad I didn't. Instead, I moved north in the UK to escape the high prices around London for rent. When I say high prices I mean anywhere within 50 miles of London as the place is so expensive people will commute for miles.\n\nI ended up working in a warehouse for more money, and paying less rent for a flat instead of a room. I even met a lady at work who is Canadian and moved to the UK. The lady said She was in a rut she could not escape. Luckily her parents were from the UK, so she was eligible to migrate to the UK.

I left Canada 2 years ago and moved to California. I lived for 13 years in Mississauga. About Canada: terrible weather, worst drivers, fewer cops to ticket drivers, worst community and University teaching experience. I taught for 13 years in Ontario, and it's all business. Housing is more expensive in Mississauga than a beach house in Orange County. Excellent medical system in Southern California (at least what I have experienced so far with two younger daughters). With year-round great weather and access to high-quality fruits and vegetables, school systems are among the finest in the US. I have not heard a single gunshot in the last 2 years. People are not allowed to take weapons unless concealed with a license.\n\nI would not recommend anyone to settle in Canada. I heard that most immigrants who move to Canada are not well-educated and end up doing blue-collar jobs. Those who are educated are doing under-qualified jobs. A super expensive country with super high vehicle insurance, expensive cell phone and cable plans, and so on. I took a dermatologist appointment for my kid, and it took 6 months in Ontario versus two days in the US. I know it is just my case, but overall, I am very happy that I left Canada.

I’m a Muslim as well and I don’t live in a western society, I’m living in my country that is conservative and there is none of these woke agendas and liberalism being forced on us, but I do have relatives who live in the US and Canada and they are thinking about coming back for the same reasons you mentioned. They don’t want their children to be victims of these agendas that are being forced on them to accept in schools right now, they are noticing how society over there is failing, Islamophobia and hate crimes against Muslims is rising, and they don’t want to live in a country that sends billions of dollars to support an apartheid occupying state to commit genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians, they just don’t want their tax money to be sent to war criminals. May Allah make it easy for you and hopefully you’ll find a perfect place and a perfect Muslim environment so that you can raise your children. I do suggest you to go live in one of these Gulf states especially Saudi Arabia where healthcare is free, education is free, zero taxes, zero crime rates, and most importantly, you can practice your deen freely and you don’t have to worry about your children.

You are right, all over the world there's inflation but in Canada there's no savings, huge tax, no job security all over Canada, where we can get lay off after years of hard work in a company. Canada encourages people to be in debts, tons of credit cards. As a Muslim I think the same for the upbringing of kids in Canada which is very difficult almost impossible.
