I have to respectfully disagree with you girls on the tax system in Canada. You mention that you cannot be a millionaire or a billionaire. \n\nI really think that is the problem with our generation, excessive greed, everyone wants to be a millionaire/billionaire, but the reality is most of people in this world will only live an average middle class life or below, that has been the case throughout history in every country on earth. \n\nInstead of wanting to be a millionaire you should strive follow your passion and to master your craft, and if and when you do so, the end result maybe you achieving millionaire billionaire status \n\nThis how most rich people got their wealth, they worked at their craft and had passion and eventually they got the wealth that came along with it \n\nI agree with Canada's progressive tax system, the only problems we have run into since 2010 is that the government has been misallocating taxes collected and giving co-operate tax breaks. But the principle of the progressive tax system makes sense, because up until recently (2010ish) it prevented the nation's wealth from accumulating at the top and in the process increased the velocity of money.\n\n This enabled business to thrive because money was constantly changing hands instead of being concentrated at the top. \n\nThis had an overall effect of enabling most Canadians to join the middle class and in turn make Canada an attractive destination for many immigrants including your selves \n\nIf Canadian system did not have a progressive tax system, there would be gross inequality with all the associated problems (crime/drugs etc). \n\nI really think prospective immigrants should be realistic about their expectations before moving to Canada to avoid dissatisfaction. \n\nIf you could not be a millionaire in the country you were born in and of which culture you belong, but some how you believe that you can move half a world away and become a millionaire. \n\nYou know part of the reason you could not even achieve middle income statust in Africa (I am from Africa as well) let alone be a millionaire is because all the wealth in most African countries is concentrated in the hands of a few corrupt bastards in the government. \n\nThis concentration of wealth at the top is possible when there is no progressive tax system and ensures economic equilibrium in all sectors of the economy\n\nIt is the reason why there is no jobs or opportunity for young people in developing countries \n\nDo not get me wrong you can still be a millionaire in Canada, but you will have to really earn it, there is no shortcuts in life\n\nPatience, passion and perseverance is the key.

I'm Mexican, 16 years old, Living in the USA I can speak English fluently, How can I immigrate to Canada, I don't really like the USA, I want something new, I've heard there's a lot of green places in Canada, I guess that's what drawns to this country. The depression you get in the winter is so bad that it affects you physically, mentally and spiritually. Canada has changed for the worst over the years. It no longer is a paradise for the poor immigrants. Heavy Taxation, bad healthcare system, corrupt government, extreme weather condition, high cost of living, boring, work and life imbalance, discrimination, traffic and the list goes on. There are still few good things left though. We are happy to be leaving soon.?

Taxes are crazy in Canada that's for sure. I am white and I was born here in Canada and wish I could leave and go to the USA where taxes is so much less and you can get farther ahead then in Canada. I wish I had a job working online then I would go somewhere else like southeast Asia or Mexico where the cost of living is so much less and you can live like a king on very little money compared to Canada or the USA.

How do you think the Government pay for free schools, healthcare and other free things you enjoy. Something must give my dear. I would love for Nigeria to collect big taxes if it would work. See my dear, if Canada is that bad pls move back to Nigeria.

I'm a lawyer who worked for a firm in NYC for 3 years. I got my PR and moved to Canada. I moved back home after hundreds of applications to law firms for a legal assistant position and being unable to get a job at even Walmart.

I couldn't agree with you more. Canada has become another one of those mindless Totalitarian states like American China, Russia, etc., etc. I spent 10 years in China working as a teacher. I went there because I was fed up in my country and when I returned it was worse than when I left. As I am now 68, if I can afford to leave again I will and I'll never return again. I told the Chinese who knew me I was returning because I missed the land, but I never really missed the people. Now that I'm back, since Jan. 2022, I want to leave again and I will and Never return. Health care in this country is in the Sh*t-house, it's impossible to get a family Dr. In part I returned for medical reasons, but now would rather die than have to deal the the Canadian medical bureaucracy - REALLY !!! So, trust me when I say I both understand you and agree with you.\nCanada has become a Sh*t-Hole treating both immigrants and Canadians like sh*t. I'll be glad to go once I can. My wife, my 3 kids and I used to like Vancouver but not anymore!!! The weather is why we plan to leave for good but also the expensive rents! I also heard about horror stories at many hospitals (and yes, I have worked in Africa and to be honest, Africans hospitals are way more functional than the ones in Canada in terms of human aspect… there they care, Canadians do not give a shit about anyone!!! And I am saying this as a Belgian!!! I have some African colleagues at work here and at least 80 percent of them either want to go back to Africa (one is actually going to start an Afro business there and build his own house) or move to Europe (one of them plans to live to my homeland Belgium and two others in France as apparent the pensions there are way better than the Canadian one) as soon as they get enough experience in canada! None of us at work , including me, want to retire or get old here in Canada! For me personally, it is the Canadian extreme loneliness and lack of willingness to open to others that really shuts me down… I am fed up and and tired of paying taxes in a country where some (not all) hospitals and some retirement homes treat patients like … objects, not human beings! But you can't get a work permit while you're IN Canada, to get granted a work permit you have to apply from outside of Canada.

What many don't know and wasn't reported in this video, is that Ukraine doesn't want too many people leaving to Canada. There is a fear that if people settle in Canada, they will stay and not return and help in he rebuilding of Ukraine. Accepting Refugees on mass is a huge undertaking, it is not as simple as opening the doors and letting people in. Where are the people to go, someone has to support them and that all requires huge amounts of coordination. Last I saw, Canada had a housing crisis where it has been difficult for Canadians to find affordable housing... how are Refugees supposed to do better?? It is easy to open the doors, it is a lot harder to get them settled.... but we have to try and try hard to make it work.

It’s not just Vancouver…. I know how is Great Montreal (where I live) and Toronto (where a worked). Definitely every city and province is different each other but basically a lot of people have same feelings about living in Canada.

I got my Canada study visa with 4 years gap after 12th for sep 2022 intake (ppr july 2022) applied april through sds(ielts 7).I had 4 years gap between my 12th and bachelors.I got a work experience from a reputed IT company which I paid some money for and they provided me with 10 documents for work experience (joining letter,salory slips,exp letter..etc).I justified my work experience in my SOP and got the visa.Cheers guys you all can come to canada.

I was born in South Asia, studied and worked in uk for 5 years. Immigrated to canada and stayed for 8 years and am currently in Hong Kong for some family reasons over the last two years in covid. What I can tell is there is no place like canada in the whole world. It’s heaven on earth. How much does someone have to make to pay 50% taxes? I like to think I have a rough idea of how taxes work in Canada and unless you owned an incredibly expensive house (very possible in Vancouver) I don't understand how that would happen. I'm genuinely curious.

I want to move my family out of Canada as well. Canada was great in the 90s but now it’s like living in a third world Country. The medical system is falling apart, taxes are out of control, cost of living is nuts. you nailed it with all points. I personally work 10 hour days and I have never had a vacation can’t afford it. I’m literally a slave .

My two applications for PR have been rejected. As it turned out later during federal court hearing, it was by a mistake at the IRCC's side. I had to study and work in Canada for 12 years before becoming a Canadian. It is so frustrating to know some people just get their status illegally. Or even legally - some get their PR as a gift from the government even before coming to Canada.
