Its shame what is going on in Canada. This is exploitation of the students and their families back home, who are seeking better life for their kids. It is the responsibility of the Canadian government both federal and provincial to stop it. I know of one family where the person had a heart attack because he went in to debt to pay for their daughter's education in Ontario. Once your are sucked into this system, it is very hard back out.

International students are fine, but the issue begins when those students later apply to the country’s jobs. People living in the country need a place to work and it’s impossible if international students use their degrees to get a job in that country. Getting an international education really just means that you wanna move out of your home country and work/live somewhere else ?‍♂️. People do zero research before applying to an international college and are forced to live like dirt.

Everything has a price to pay, if you struggle in college, whatever the reason may be, living away from family, being alone, whatever the reason is. This is a price we have to pay for a successful future. Also, parents who really want to send their kids abroad, send them to good tier 1 European countries, Germany, France, Italy, Spain etc., US and Canada is just a slaughterhouse, the amount of money spent on a child's education there is unhealthy, universities in Germany are free, and the living expenses also aren't as expensive as US or Canada, had i known about Germany before I applied to US universities, i wouldve saved my parents a lot of money

India has many intelligent people. Why can't India develop a good college educational system? Obviously, the money is there to support it.

Of the 2 professors teaching business, one has no business experience and the other has one role 25 years ago. And these are the good guys. University education has become a scam on a massive scale

Well, I guess that most families from Asian counties live together and share space so they will be able to afford homes. I guess that we should educate Canadians that they should not expect to be able to afford rent or owning a home unless you stay with your family and all live together. See, problem solved. Change your expectations and way of life to accommodate a government that prefers to have expansion and growth at all costs instead of fixing our current problems. They have created so much debt and continue to so they need more bodies to tax in order to pay the debt so that they can take on more debt... and they want it from citizens because they can't get it from corporations and their record profits because the corporations bribe them... sorry, lobby them with 100s of millions of dollars.\n\nSo emigration is obviously the solution. If you are educated and have skills I'm not sure that those jobs are out there? Or they are for a while, then gas prices go down and the corporations fire everyone and then things change and then they complain that they can't find anyone while paying less than they did before they fired everyone... They need these 'poor people' to bring in significant monies to buy over priced houses and cars and keep the economy going. It's simply a pipeline to bring money in from richer Asian and African economies to Canada. Sounds like a good plan and I propose that they allow all of those newcomers to move to every province except Ontario and Quebec because they have enough people. I would also propose that all newcomers by fluent in English so to not put the burden on taxe payers for paying for their education for decades before they are able to work in places where they are needed.

The government does everything to discourage Canadians to have children, but plans to increase immigration. 500,000 a year? This is social engineering and importing potential voters. Stop inviting more people until we get the ones that are here a home, health care, education and a job. Once we get that under control, people will have kids again and invite others again at a manageable number. Immigration is not essential.

There will be a huge influx of Ukrainian refugees, One could not get a better immigrant in Canada they are well educated, hard working, industrious and use to the Canadian winters, They build the prairies in the last Russia war migration in 1914 and will be major contribution to Canada. Many will settle in the prairies were Ukrainian language is more common, and Saskatchewan population will significantly increase which for some time has been a downward spiral.

Before you start anything this important you have to do the research. Check for homelessness, inflation, affordable housing availability, also what kind of education and skills will these 500.000 immigrants have and will they speak English?? Even in a remote part of Canada rent is very high, Canadians are paying 1200.00 per month for a 1 bed 1 bath apartment and don’t forget utilities on top of that. This means that they will bring more immigrants and tell them they can't work because they don't have Canadian experience. Physicians will end up working as drivers and then people will have to wait for months for a doctor or a surgery. Teachers from other countries won't find work . Let's bring in more immigrants while every place is short staffed and increase wait times for every single thing from buying a coffee to finding a family doctor. Toronto has no more capacity for people. First improve the quality of life for those who are here and then bring new people. I still don't know what a doctor, a teacher, a mechanic, a nurse, ...........with Canadian experience knows that other people doing these jobs outside of Canada cannot do. Probably just a way to keep people back so they pay for college or university education and end up thousands of dollars in debt and still not be able to find the profession that they have been trained for back home for years.

I am an immigrant myself and came here through Express Entry, before that I studied in the U.S. I am all for Immigration but with recent events, I think the government should spend more time on the cost of living crisis and housing crisis. What I am proposing is we make room and keep cost low if we are to bring in more immigrants. The hard to find workers argument is basically people not working low paying jobs, most of these immigrants will be educated, have degrees and mostly in Finance or Tech fields, the talent in these fields are saturated and it's very hard to have job mobility in these sectors. I am not for kicking the ladder down once I made it, I am just saying we should focus on cost of living and housing so that these immigrants can succeed and better contribute when they come here, instead of living in the living room because they can't afford rent in the cities and not finding work since most are in saturated fields.

This is not good for our country. \n\nWe have health care issues \nWe have housing issues \nWe have education issues \n\nAll this is mass immigration is going to compound the problems we are already facing.

Canada can't attract high educated people to the country as here has only PC and hard/long winter season.

So let me see… we have an average of 2.5 beds per 1,000 population right now and we are in deep doodoo. Another 500,000 folks means we need another 2,500 beds just to keep up! Where these beds Mr Minister? Next, let’s talk housing, then education and classrooms and then..?

Canada needs SUPERIOR QUALITY immigrants, educated, civilized and capable to work in fields other than retail and service industries.

We need immigration but at the same time we need to take care of Canadians who need help and are borderline in similar situations so many immigrants come here are in. Canadians are in some horrific spots and need things like affordable housing that is actually affordable, jobs that don’t require much education but pay well, we need conservative premiers across Canada to raise minimum wage to a liveable wage. Canadians are struggling just like immigrants and refugees.

No infrastructure increase, no hospital size increases, no educational increase, nothing increased just dumping people into the country.

Homes? Healthcare? Education? None here, newcomers. Try the moon.

Plz do more efforts to bring some more light on these collages tuition fees for international students because being an punjabi i have seen and heard many cases of sucides in Canada. As an India supporter and hindu devotee from latinoamerica, I hope and demand the India government to give EDUCATION TO ALL, and expand the reach of the institutes of tecnology, so people can study at home and/or have scholarships/job for the interested in migration, Migration should enrich a person not push them further into poverty

You need to redo your video, dude! You underplayed Alberta and overplayed Quebec and Ontario. Alberta was the only province to keep its books balanced during Trudeaus tyrannical reign of covid and crime is wayyyy lower than others. Also, yes it is an oil province but it was squashed by Ottawa and still came out on top. It's better living for families, jobs vary in high paying between the two main cities and the people are very down to earth and friendly. People have been fleeing the east to Alberta for its freedom from government overreach as well. So, you're out of touch here by a lot. Alberta has deserts, beaches, more gorgeous mountain ranges than BC, farmland, glaciers that never melt despite the globalists so called maniac calls of global warming, as much sunshine as Saskatchewan, forests with many trails and campgrounds, the list goes on. I was born in Ontario, lived in almost every province but by far Alberta is number 1. If you want the juiciest steaks that melt off your fork and onto your tongue it's world best! It's industry is kept here and not finished somewhere else like every other province. Not to mention, farms sell and produce every food and craft beer/ liquor at their gates! Alberta has survived zero taxing its citizens until federal taxes came into here through NDP and Liberals, education is the best in all levels, and the people and governments are more sane and level headed now more than ever. The best rodeos worldwide and festivals count everyday in Edmonton. Who does that? It's self sufficient on its own and is the crown jewel of Canada. It's got multiple canyons all through the rockies! Wapiti are protected and plentiful in parks and if you want the best fudge, go to Jasper! Candy shops fan their delicious aromas down the streets! The most beautiful lakes in the world are in those rockies! The images from mountains are mirrored year round in those numerous lakes! It's picturesque postcard images! Economy is better than others and although rents and costs of homes vary all over you can still get a pretty decent city dwelling or cabin by one of its many cottage home communities that have more to offer for families than any in Ontario with low fees, outdoor and indoor pools, playgrounds, golfing and more. Then there's West Edmonton Mall where you can spend just window shopping 8 hours of not even going to Fantasyland, Galaxyland and more. \nYou will see men in business suits sitting next to actual cowboys/ girls in bars and restaurants. Edmonton uses goats to trim their weeds and high grasses every summer accompanied by a sheep herder and mosquitoes are ZERO nearly. Then the sunlight doesn't quit until 11pm at night and up again at 5am in summer.\nAlberta has tons to offer.

This is more of migration crisis and international students is a loophole. The trade-off is to gain residence and colleges are making money out of it, so are the middle men. Sad story ?. Trust me India ?? has far better education.
