Currently, I'm studying in Canada and this video opened my eyes to the dark side of Canadian college that I never knew about. What I can say is never let your guard down. I did the research, I picked the right college. Even in Canada, I stay alerted. Only by staying strong and resilient, the Canadian dream might come true.

The way I see this after watching this documentary for which I am not even an international student, that there are no consequences at all from Canada to those colleges. No one is regulating anything, hence, these Crimes (Yes its a crime because of the straight out lies and misinformation) in India or even other countries will continue to happen. Nope. Couldn't disagree more. As a child of immigrants I'm a first generation Canadian. My parents left everything behind in the late 60s in order to have a better life. I'm extremely proud and grateful to call myself a Canadian. I'm grateful for the freedom in this country I'm grateful for the sacrifices my parents made in order to offer us kids a better life. I've traveled to my parents home country several times\nI've traveled across the world all through my 20s and I can legit say, thank God for Canada. It's too bad you've experienced such hardship. If you find it so horrible here, brace yourself sweetheart for what's out there in the world.

Wow. Canada is so backwards. In the UK to apply for a insurance number to work it's done online via the government website, once applied you go for a face to face interview.\nAnd to find work you would only travel mostly about 10km. Part time jobs are plenty.

Sad story really, but there are many other international students who get it even worse. At least Indian students speak English, have a very large support community in Canada (where pretty much every other person is from India). I only speak because I know. Try coming to this land with no English and no connections at all ...and from a small country in South America, then you really are in trouble.

Government of Canada can do a lot to stop the exploitation: run Social media/TV/Print awareness campaigns in local languages in India to inform parents and students about studying in Canada, make it easy to search for programs and colleges/universities, and proactively work with the Government of India and provincial governments in Punjab, Gujarat etc.

Why? How can you pay such a huge amount and get scammed each year? In Punjab, these agents even produce movies to lure people. 90% of Indian students who get scammed are from Punjab. People are selling land and later committing suicide. It's a huge industry in Punjab, and people are killing themselves to reach Canada.

Btw, garanty of success, of employment, doesn't exist and it's baked in the capitalism system that private enterprise and private college prioritize profits (btw, for non Canadian, education, is not subsidized). \nNow, if illegal/fraud practices are occurring, then like any Canadian, you will have to make a complaint to the police and/or take legal action (basically If you don't have money, you're F!). \n \nMaybe the Ontario government should have more stringent laws for private Colleges and recruiting agencies, like mandatory advertising for: \n\t- the required money for subsistence and the low likelihood of finding a good job that will enable students to work; \n\t- the % failure, homelessness, suicide,... \n\t- mental and social stress, differences,... \n \nMaybe Canada could: \n\t- be more stringent with student visa and have a written acknowledgement that states all the risks and pitfalls. \n\t- Guive visa only if the recruiting was done through accredited agencies \n\t- Do official advertisements in India about the risks and requirements of studying abroad. \n \nMaybe a full capitalism society is not moral, but it's the system we decided to live in.

School Is a scam nobody told them that. \nIts better you use that money to emigrate to canada legally, then when you come work, then get schooling if you want.
