But why is Immigration allowed in Canada at the first place. Do you guys know the reason? Thats because of aging population and someone was needed to pay for your retirement. So if Indians chose to come here and work hard why do you have the problem. Immigration is a point based system in Canada. If Indians are getting good points than other countries , is that problem? IRCC validates skill, experience, etc. if Indians have those skills, is that a problem? Not just Trudeau, what about conservative government province like Alberta? Why do they have PNP program and invite so many people? Canada needs immigrants as much as much as Immigrants needs Canada. Its mutual. I Don't think Indians are just surviving on Social benefits here. They are the most hard working people you will ever meet..

They have flooded the plains with these people. In no time at all, our entire social landscape has changed. From the ground up. Its a bit of a soft coup. All jobs, everywhere. All voices, language and accents have emtirly changed. Our civil laws. How they ate applied and respected. Business conduct changed. Communal quality completely diminished. Local government bias. Civil enforcement open corruption. Common exchanges, xut in half. Social behaviors completely transformed. A spiritual, physical and financial war and gutting out is what j can expect when this lot turn up. Public and private hygiene standards, I mesn eberythimg goes. Here in the uk, being swallowed alive by this mass drowning of the natives is a frightening thing to have happen to u. The machine decided we would all be replaced by the chosen ones. It feels surreal. Im black and am seeing a complete white washing and replacement model is brutally underway. I used to respect their culture amd people. That is not the case now, having this downpour drown out everythimg else. Tough fact: poor white folks are drunk, drug addicted and do not offer the economy enough stimulus. i grew up in Brampton 20 years ago, a child of Caribbean parents. Whenever I go back I can say Yes, Brampton has changed over the years. I also remember that white/Canadian people were always the population struggling with substance abuse- particularly in the downtown area. Conflating the influx of indians with the downturn of white canadians seems to just fuel animosity and scape goat the issue onto a population of people that's probably just trying to seek a better life. why not ask the government to provide better social programs for those in need rather than fueling hate ? Why not investigate the structural issues that have contributed to this situation i.e. politicians gaining votes by doing xyz, or look into what people may be facing in the homelands? That would be a better piece of journalism imo. I think this video is highlighting this issue in ways history has seen before... can't we do better?

Canada is a wonderful country for me and my family. I don't know any other country that would be so loyal to foreigners. Perhaps it was easier for me to adapt here, because we are from a European country where Christianity is widespread. We love Canada and embrace its traditions. Winter sports are great entertainment for children and adults. We also celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Canada Day and more. My children quickly adapted to school and I am happy that they like it! The people here are wonderful and friendly, always willing to help. There are so many possibilities! Why do we have such different impressions about this country?

Real estate agents are the biggest culprits in the rise of prices. I’ve been there several times as telling me my house is worth hundreds of thousands more or we can say exaggerated by 30% or more then my house is on the market for a year which is nota big deal for an agent they have 40 other listings and access to more moneymakers , I’ve sold my last 2 homes personally within days or weeks which were reasonably priced not overpriced this made everyone happy . Building a home is never a problem buy the land get proper permits and select a quality builder I’ve had steady employment and certainly not rich blue collar salary and never have been refused for a mortgage so if you want to build it’s always available , if you qualify for a mortgage.\nAs for your immigration babble do you like to eat food if the answer is yes you should appreciate immigrants, do you like the care you get in hospitals thanks again to immigrant nurses caregivers therapists, how about the next time you stay at a hotel/resort thank immigrants for cooking and cleaning , \nSure stuff costs more you can put some blame on lifetime pensions for politicians and senators for a few years work , over the top spending on government trips , the Governor General expense on wardrobe, minister of whatever buying new boots or shoes to make an announcement total abuse of taxpayer $ , government projects which get cancelled for who knows why and many projects which are unnecessary which are beneficial only to family and friends giving their private businesses contracts , same old guys club new blood is required with new ideas and purpose . \nCanada is expensive I’ll agree but still top 10 to reside in the world if you like life and freedom , eating regularly, lights on , water from your tap, getting to your job on real roads , getting an abortion , not expecting a hospital bill when you arrive home from heart surgery, the list goes on , whiners are are whiners the rest are makers and make our lives better .as for other post saying things are so much cheaper in the states , I don’t pay 10$ for a carton of eggs this happened last year in Arizona state the facts ,

Most Canadians save up through their lives for 30 years to afford a house. Why do they need to own a large house as soon as they get a paid plane trip here. I grew up in apartments buildings (not a condo but rented apartment) then a town house - now I own a house. When an apartment opening comes up and a born here Canadian does need it- then bring in someone applying and they should be fluent in English and already have a needed skill to contribute to society. South Asian Indians are fourth generation Canadians and are educated, successful and have assimilated with the European culture. The french lady should see Montreal, it is cool to see Indians, Chinese speaking French. Do you ask why there are too many Chinese in Chinatown? Others are temporary honest Indian students that are being ripped off by Canadian wrong policies of shameless cash grab. Assimilation for new immigrants could be something in common e.g. free classical piano lessons for everyone in school. Music and language is a great first step in communication. The drug problem has nothing to do with immigration, it is the result of their own culture of drug abuse and bad Canadian policies. It seems appropriate to me that he returns to India. His wife and son can also return to India. They do have good hospitals there, not sure why that is a humanitarian need here. I think it would help them all build a life away from this chapter of their lives. Show a bit of grace, people, he pled guilty and was distressed about his role in the deaths. If you are on vacation in Canada and meet a business owner and he likes you and want to hire you full time for what ever job. Immigration will say no to that. Not the right education, not the right age. not the right what ever. The business owner will only be able to hire you for max 3 years. Then you will returned to your own country. Then the business owner can sit there and say. Whaaaat. Why can I not decide for my self. Why do you now want people from modern countries that are better than Canada in many ways ? WHY ?. To want to live in Canada , you really have to love to be there, feel at home no matter if it is better for your finances or not. Canada is a corporation and I guess the more immigrants WE have then the GDP looks better. I am a Canadian and my mother was born here and my grandmother came to Canada in 1907 from the USA when she was 7 years old. I was born in the 1940s and brought up in rural surroundings. Back then We had traditional beliefs and I had farming background. Connection of relatives and helping our neighbours were how We lived. I became a schoolteacher. I saw that in 1954 when I went to school that learning was not natural and it was fear based. Then I completed a dip. of ed psy and then I decided that if I ever wanted to help change the system that I would require at least an m. ed. - leadership. I knew the university I went to would not be able to say no to me when I applied to get into this program. However, I was too much of an negative influence on the younger students and had to finish the last couple of classes at home and which I did. Today, the families have been divided, people do not connect or communicate properly and I have to question what living skills did I learn? Instead, my head was filled with propaganda which sadly, I've had to relearn. I say, stay in your own country and fix it there. Indian has some wonder ancient wisdoms for healing and health. The OWNERS of our nations like the banking families realize that when new immigrates come in that they assimilate more, and the older generations begin to question what THEY were taught and why. I remember when say a barn burned down or one had to be built that neighbours would help build the barn for the farmer. Then we would all celebrate and the women would get together and cook the food and we would have a barn dance. Life was simple then, but connection was authentic and we didnt lose ourselves. We must know ourselves and our history or we are lost and so many people live in chaos and ignorance. Learn to become our Divine selves. Learn to understand that WE are living in a fictional world when We are educated to be who we are not.

That said, the bas supposition isn't wrong. The bubble we've been sitting on for 20 or so years has completely burst. As someone born and raised in the Toronto area, it's impossible for me to afford to own a house or apartment here on a teacher's salary. Even rent pushes me to the limit unless I want to live in a... less than nice area. I'm living hand to mouth and enjoying the benefits of living in a 'developed' country less. Here's why:\n\n1. Wages aren't really even close to keeping up with the cost of living. The first tick upwards a bit. The second just keeps rising on the back of housing, food, amenities, and inflation: the four horsemen.\n\n2. Our grocery cabal ruthlessly raise prices whenever we look away, and their lobbyists are all ensconced within the leadership of our three major parties, particularly the Conservatives (so if anyone thinks that electing them will help, they're in for a nasty surprise).\n\n3. We're experiencing 'labour shrinkflation': increasing duties are downloaded onto workers and more is expected: more productivity, more availability (almost 24/7 in some jobs), and higher qualifications. Meanwhile, real wages are decreasing relative to living cost, more positions are 'contract', which is basically a way for employers to not have to give you benefits, and job security is tenuous for a lot of people.\n\n4. Houses are being bought by investors and not owners. Foreign entities are money laundering. The wealthy upper crust of high population countries are moving here and buying property because Canada is (still) more safe and stable and less repressive than their home countries in most cases. \n\n5. There's a cycle beginning: as people are squeezed and forced to spend more on 'needs', they spend less on eating out, entertainment, and other 'wants'. These are significant drivers of the service economy and they're being hit hard. So, what can they do? They can let go of workers or lower product costs to remain profitable, but they their quality declines and, in a market where people are pinching every penny and looking for quality for their dollar, they're less likely to go back. They can raise their prices, of course, but then they price people out completely and their profits still tank. I went to a decent steakhouse for my dad's 60th last week. I can't remember the last time that I went to one before that. \n\n6. Our politicians and news cycles focus on the most niche and irrelevant stuff because it'll stoke anger and get tongues wagging. This carbon thing is almost a non-issue, but our conservative leader is harping on about it like it's singlehandedly the death of the Canadian economy when it's a drop in the bucket. Trudeau focuses on 'equity' measures, hoping for a bit of cheap good press, while his efforts are, for the most part, just window dressing and the issues, while meaningful, are often not of paramount importance or even applicable to the vast majority of the people who elected him. Meanwhile, the middle class is pretty much evaporating as he speaks. The NDP keep talking about this in a pretty real way, for what it's worth, but Jagmeet Singh is giving off an increasing vibe of just being another fat cat politician beneath his rhetoric these days. Also, third-party trolls and screeching conservatives try to bury him on social media whenever he speaks... a lot more than other leaders as well, oddly. I wonder why? Oh yeah, the Greens exist and there's Quebec and the conspiracy theory party.\n\n\nUltimately, what we're experiencing is the revenge of the feudal system. Instead of paying rents to your lord and doing labour on the land for him whenever commanded to, you pay rent to your landlord now and go to work even when you're sick or when work hours are over because you have no union protection or are working 'on contract'. Unless we want to live in the armpit of nowhere, 95% of us are going to be wage slaves living hand-to-mouth, not owning our own property, and working to please our corporate overlords if current trends continue unchecked. While some of Canada's problems are unique, I fear that most aren't. As for me, I'm headed to the 'armpit of nowhere' where I can at least have a ghost of a chance of affording life.

Soon every city in Ontario will be brown town… why is it that we never really had all these scams going on till the last few years?only people I see get caught are brown with multiple fake ids. Non stop scam calls, texts , emails mainly preying on our elderly people and what do they get a theft under 5000 charge and that’s nothing. You have people renting rental to turn around and not live in it just rerent them to brown people and stick 4 in each room for 500 a person.. what to pay for the house they live in or send it all back home. If your white here they won’t even rent to you even if you wanted to because they know the only people that will live in those conditions are them. Rental adds being racist saying only brown people but if we we be put on blast.Not to mention they will only hire their own kind once they have ones in management. \nI had ones move in my place and sure enough 10 + people in it within 2 months and the place is already infested with roaches.\nAnd we wonder why crime , drugs and homeless is going crazy.\nUse Canadians need to start fighting back doing the same only hiring and renting to Canadians. Start threatening them do go back home but no we don’t because we all sit back and do nothing. After 911 I went to the CAF recruiting Center in Mississauga. I was born in Canada in 71, but went to university at The Ohio state university from 91 to 95. Since in lived outside Canada within 10 years for more than a year I needed to wait for DHS in the US to do a background security check on me…a Canadian. I retired from CAF in 2017, after 12 years of service….do the math on when, and therefore, how long, it took me to join. Go Canada. Now we recruit non citizens to out CAF? Why have most of us left CAF? Why can’t I recommend that anyone join?

I’m Indian and I will be damned if I say I agree with you. This shouldn’t be allowed. Follow the rules. This mob culture has to stop. I work my ass off and I can’t get by. My industry went on a strike for a year and I couldn’t get a survival job. These students can move from one province to another any time they want. How is this possible. Isn’t there any law to prevent them moving from the place they came to “study” in the first place and move to another location just for PR? I waited two years to get my police verification done from all the countries I worked before my immigration application got approved. These days it’s like the immigration ministry is handing over permanent residency like candies. More over if I go to a shop ask for help I get answers in a language I don’t speak or follow. Why are we allowing this? Why can’t these guys speak English or French? Why am forced to learn Punjabi? If these guys want to create a ghetto for themselves why are they doing it here? Who’s allowing all this? What’s happening to those English language tests? I don’t care if they fulfill any of those departments that require eligible workers. Why do we have to import truck drivers and factory workers? I’m fed up with this and I wonder why Canadians aren’t worried about their country and culture and react like they do. I am a Canadian catholic born in Quebec, now live in Mississauga Ontario. I support everything you have said. I do not know why people can't mind there own business and let others go on living there own lives and beliefs, what is it to them. I also think that most religions do have some things in common.

We have a lot of British who went to the Caribbean along with some Canadians, i now understand why. Do not give up, I will stay and fight with my fellow Canadians to maintain Canadian and western values. All over the western world citizens are standing up and fighting back to ensure that their values and cultures are maintained. I cannot understand why these people would run from their country to seek refuge in another and try to change that host country to the one they just ran from. Absolute ludicrous. Absurd. No respect

I'm reading a lot of peoples problems here and I keep asking myself why has all our systems in this country keep failing us? I have noticed a aggressively progressive decline in the last 10 yrs in Banking, Healthcare, Community Services, Safety etc. I can list pages of issues and yet we tolerate this by continuously electing our government at all levels keeping them in power and not holding them accountable for their actions or decisions. We need to do better and get more involved!

I’ve been in Canada for over 24 years and I have never seen it like this in my life!\nThe main cause of the majority of issues is the housing crisis.\n\nWhat a lot of you might not be aware of is that we have not been building homes to keep up with the demand for over two decades. That’s why the price for housing has increased astronomically. And then our government decided to basically allow unfettered immigration in order to take advantage of the new immigrants’ money so they can use it to fund the Canadian Pension Plan.\n\nJust an FYI, the way CPP is funded is that the current group of working people are paying for the current group of retired seniors. And due to the lack of childbirths and people living longer, the CPP can no longer afford to take care of all the seniors in its system. Thus, the government devised a plan to have more people coming here so as to milk the money they have. Actually, they’ve even gone to the extent to basically allow seniors to be willingly euthanized… it’s absolutely bonkers.\n\nBut anyway, I digress… so then with housing at astronomical prices, you’re now pushing out the poor people onto the streets, causing homelessness. \n\nAnd when people are homeless, the average person will do drugs to escape reality and commit crimes to survive. Which is why it’s now increasingly dangerous in public spaces. \n\nThen, the transportation also never accounted for such a massive increase in population. At least not in Toronto. Which is also causing major inconvenience to go anywhere. \n\nIt used to be that if you lived in the suburbs, you could drive into Toronto pretty quickly but now, it takes like an hour and a half to two hours, making it extremely difficult to get around. And also, hard to take advantage of the “lower” housing prices in the suburbs.\n\nBut that’s not all. Part of the issue is that the Trudeau government wants to no longer have Canada use our oil and gas overnight, which is causing the increase in gas prices. Many Canadians still rely on gas because electric cars are not efficient in Canadian weather and are simply too expensive for your average person. And yet they cut off our supply of oil and gas which causes the price inflation of transport and anything that requires to be moved such as groceries and supplies.\n\nAnd don’t get me started on how our healthcare system is falling apart… even though we pay some of the highest taxes in the world…

I got a chance to get shifted to North America 24 years ago. By then I had reached a CXO level job in India and that company gave me a choice. I decided it was good in India, and my salary went up as the years went by. In USD terms I might have got lesser than in NA, but in purchasing power, I got more, I think.\n\nThen India's growth after Y2k happened and I got other jobs, and participated in stock options with start-ups with dynamic founders (India has a decent VC-PE network now, especially for technology people). 5 years ago I decided no need to work and be on my own, doing stuff I always wanted do, but income was more priority. Today I realise most of new wealth is being created in India: new ideas, new services, products, delivery systems, etc: all being thought of in India. Why go abroad, except for a vacation?\n\nToday I have a fairly substantial net worth that got created through those wealth sharing jobs and I realize when I visit NA, that I would never have got this, not unless I had been there for a long time, and certainly not in Canada - that's pretty clear.\n\nToday, India is the place where wealth is being made. If you have a product or service that is successful, or are a part of such an enterprise and get to share in the value creation (that's a risk, not a given, not guaranteed), India is the place to be. And by going out of India, you are taking a risk, this is no different, except we know India in our blood.\n\nIf you are entrepreneurial, or have the risk taking capacity to work with an entrepreneur and share his risk with stock participation, there a great probability you will do very, very well in India.\n\nThe biggest upside: YOU are now developing India!

Punjabis in foreign are very anti-India, yet they retain their OCI cards. Why do these Angrez- Sikhs have a say in Indian politics when they have become nationals of other countries like Canada, the UK, and the USA? I don't see Gujarati or other Indian communities that have settled abroad, become so anti-Indian. Only the Punjabi think it is only their issues that matter and need publicity. By the way, I have personally seen a lot of discrimination in their community, especially between Jatt and Dalit Sikhs. Maybe they should look within, before looking for a new state.

Video titles like this are so stupid. Especially when in the video itself it speaks to the vacancy rate. Why is rent so high? Because the vacancy rate is so low which proves that A LOT of people want to live in Canada. The video itself speaks to NIMBYism and municipal government’s slow reaction to accommodate construction. The only thing the Feds did is to allow more people that want to be Canadians to have a chance. Low wages and the high cost of products are the fault of greedy corporations. Those people leaving and can no longer stay in Canada is the result of natural selection. I get that everyone is struggling, and feel that we need someone to blame. Since we can’t control our neighbours that stop progress and the corporations that gouge us, as a democracy, we go after what we do control- our government- even if the problem isn’t really of their creation. This issue of affordability is happening all over the world. Corporations and those who run them disproportionately keep all the money. But that doesn’t mean that Canada isn’t a great place to live and raise a family. It’s a huge country. The only thing the Feds can do is incentivize companies to set up shop in less desirable places and eleviate demand off of Vancouver and Toronto (the usual suspects and source for all those rental shortage b-rolls). Then, the neighbours in Moose Jaw will start complaining that their town is changing too fast.

I've experienced life in Montreal and really enjoyed it, but living in the USA has its own unique advantages and challenges. While there are both positive and negative aspects to living here, overall, I find it quite comparable to other places I've known. One of the standout features of the USA is the affordability of housing combined with higher incomes, which makes financial planning more manageable. Additionally, I've found that making friends here seems easier, perhaps due to the country's diverse population. When I first moved here, before getting married, I effortlessly connected with many Americans who were welcoming and open.\n\nHowever, I do have concerns, particularly regarding safety issues like crime and school shootings, which is why I've opted for private schooling for my five-year-old daughter. This is an added expense, yet manageable given the higher income levels here, which still allow for a comfortable lifestyle in a sizeable home outside the city center. Many significant companies offer opportunities, especially in New Jersey where I live, and particularly for those with higher education in STEM fields.\n\nIn my experience, opportunities in Canada or Europe can seem more limited in comparison. Despite this, I envision retiring in Europe, drawn by its unique appeal and lifestyle.

@Harrison, there a bunch of holes in your story an thus superficial or lacking, yet has potential to be more Canadian in that you need to differentiate a bit more, attention in the details that you may have missed, votebank, Punjab province certain cluster of uncouth or gang type, instead of drawing in all religions and races and the best educated like how the US does with it, instead of a votebank cluster, that make up only 3% of the Indian population, yet 50% of Brampton, yet Canada is slower to do such. As I hope you know that, in that in Canada a city doesn’t usually choose newcomers directly factors of, ethnocentrism, pricing, etc are.  \n\nIt was or used to be that newcomers in many cases had to move to less populated centres i.e. in Saskatchewan/Manitoba etc, to help make the place more profitable and big as born Canadians usually didn’t want to move there. As your worst nightmare, me Canadian born Indian with a more Canadian accent than yours, yet I speak French yet am from the GTA. As a immigrant who recently got Canadian citizenship, I would like to clear few things here. I noticed that the host of the show has some wrong perception in his mind for international students. I agree that the basic jobs should be allocated to the young population or elderly population and international student should sustain themselves, but on the other hand why don't' the colleges charge the same fees that they charge to domestic applicants ?...the international students pays 5X to 10X the fees that the local student pays for the same courses. Also, when the student applies for visa they already pay 20000K to a Canadian bank for the future monthly payments that they will get so sustaining is not a problem. most of these students work so that they can contribute to the 5X fees that they have to pay. Also, when it comes to skill, the students skills are assessed by the universities and colleges and only after that they come to Canada. If you see an immigrant working in Tim Hortons or Food basics, don't worry he will be out of there in 2 years to a high paying skillful job that local population won't do. Now, when I say all this the immigration problem is real, but it is not because of the student who comes here, pays higher fees and than work in Canada, pay higher taxes and contribute to GDP and economy. your problem is with refugees and immigrants who are brought in mass immigration, who does not have skills. Because this is the population which you brought with to match the labor shortage but can not work so you provide them subsidies, assistance etc. and dig a hole in government funds...…now for the host he seems to have an agenda against Indian immigrants in particularly. Everyone complaining should ask themselves a few questions. These Indians and by extent all immigrants have significant barriers. I'll refer to only indians here. I and my wife had a quarel about this particular issue. I am currently in Nigeria and doing well cos I am a Software Engineer and I do remote jobs that pays very well. I do not see a problem having international students. They shall have their own money for tuition, accommodation and food. Our taxes shall not subsidize foreign students. Also as soon they have finished their schools they shall go back to their countries. And if they want to immigrate they shall stay in general line for all applicants. Why Canada promises PRs for foreign students and their families? It may be one inexperienced graduator in family and the rest a bunch of low skilled workers immediately asking for welfare to survive. I think everyone is missing the point here. I Don’t support Israel’s retaliation, but I wondered why the Arab world has not taken in a single refugee. Why did you leave India in the first place? It is given that anybody taking the big step to immigrate from their homeland has to have very solid reasons. Indians immigrate because of economic reasons only. They have economically miserable lives in India. They are unhappy because of economic hardships and see a gloomy future for themselves and their children. But they are stupid to think that they can live in a foreign land without socially integrating with the society. They try to remain Indian in a non- Indian land. So what do you expect. They get frustrated and long to get back home. I say this to all Indians and Pakistanis. You people are too clannish. Stay home and don’t dilute host nation’s culture with yours.
