hi guys, come to Taiwan. People are superbly friendly and helpful, even if many don't speak English. I am on a fellowship and attending some courses at NCCU where I help MA students with their course works which gives me a lot of joy, I was once very surprised when a student brought me some gifts to thank for helping him. And he is not a freshman but a civil servant, doing a degree to advance his career. That shows not just people are smart, hard-working but value education and appreciate us, the foreigners.

What about us retirees? It used to be a $1500 a month min. Income to live there. Grew up un Alaska, spent a lot of time in Rupert and Terrace, thinking of moving ther from WA state US.

I had to use the health care in US while there on business. It costs a lot but the care was 2nd to none.

I am a double hater cant stand Trump and I am a farmer, i dont use immigrants because i just grow crops that can be mechanically harvested and I have a small farm, But in the past I used to manage large farms where we had a lot of immigrants most were illegal and people don't understand why they're illegal It's because there is an arbitrary cap on how many migrants can come from Guatemala and Mexico if they wanted to come legally just a normal worker They have a 60-year waiting list so it's just impossible to come here legally. Most of these people are very hardworking good people that come here to work for 5 to 7 years save up money and then go back to Mexico or Guatemala build a house and start a business in their own country. \n\nThis year i begrudgingly voted for trump because for me the biggest issue is with the federal and state regulations that make farming much harder than it needs to be especially regulations on diesel engine emissions that cost me tens of thousands of dollars a year and many months of not being able to use my equipment that I spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on. And Kamala was the one who enforced the CARB emmisions standards that diesel engine manufactures have to comply with to sell into California which is the biggest consumer of these engines. \n\nLike right now I have my pickup truck that's been down for 6 months because of emissions problems and so many of the vehicles have emissions problems that the parts to fix it don't even have an ETA because they need to fix so many trucks and I have two other tractors broke down that I can't use all my friends that are farmers have a lot more and dems want to significantly increase emmisions standards in 2026. \n\nYou simply can't grow food at scale without reliable diesel engines There is no alternative The vast majority of food is planted and harvested mechanically in the US The bigger issue with food is not well illegals get deported It is will the diesel engines run to harvest 90% of the calories in plant them. \n\nWe have robots that can milk the cows most of the things that migrants harvest can be harvested mechanically and they are in other parts of the world It's just cheaper to do it with labor once that's not the case it will be mechanized. I would prefer to keep migrants here but give them legal working status if they have productive jobs and they pay tax.

Give them what they want. They want this mass deportation let them have it. It’s going to cost a lot of money will likely control the house of representatives and the US Senate as well as the president go ahead and do it find the money pay for it do it. The US deported many Mexicans after WW2. A lot of citizens got deported as well. Because they look Mexican.

To be honest, we do pay for health-care. Through income tax. But income tax is proportionnal to the income of each individual. A Canadian who earns nothing or has a very low income pays no income tax at all and yet, they enjoy care absolutely free, as well as a high income Canadian. Do private insurance companies in the US charge less for poor people? A couple hundreds could be not big a deal for someone earning 100k a year, but at 30k, it’s a whole lot of money.

Especially, a lot of us Indians don't know how to behave when we go abroad , we bring our illiteracy & unethical behavior to these foreign places & pollute it. \nWe need to relearn the basics 1st and then expect others to respect us.

We are a German-American family who moved to Germany from Prague 12 years ago. When we arrived we had zero assets, now we are financially independent and secure for life. My wife is American and finds Germany far superior to the US with regards to safety (gun-control), public transport quality, health-care, paid vacations and social services. I am surprised by the comments here, as I find real estate really cheap in Germany compared to other Western countries and it's a great place to buy real estate to rent out and get the tax advantages. Sure, income tax is high in Germany, but as a family you also get a lot in return for it and there are massive benefits for disabled people and children (Kindergeld), while education is also free and health-care is universal as well. Everybody wanting to move elsewhere has to consider whereever they go they will be taking themselves - and if complaining is a passion, you will be doing that everywhere you go.

Everyone has an opinion about this, but the only fact that really matters is what people actually do. Currently about 10X as many Canadians per capita move to the US as Americans move to Canada. There really isn't much else to say. Canadians will always imagine themselves to be better, but the reality is people prefer to live in the US, including a lot of Canadians. Other than marriage, there's little to entice an American to move to Canada and the statistics bear this out.

In Canada, there is not enough housing and jobs are scarce, especially for anyone at the entry level or basic wage. We've been absolutely swamped. This is not the fault of the immigrants or the students, it's the fault of our extremely stupid and short sighted government. Most of those immigrants I encounter are good people, polite and considerate. But some, well I understand where the complaints about rude and inconsiderate behaviour come from, because it only takes a few bad experiences to get people angry. I've experienced it myself, but most of it (from my experience) seems to be from students who are very loud and impolite on public transit. The housing situation here is INSANE, prices are sky high and very little to choose from. A lot of seniors now can only afford to rent a room (after having worked all their lives and very little to show for it), and prices are up about 50% from only 5 years ago. The government says inflation is a fraction of what it is in real life, and living expenses have exploded. As I understand it, some people made a lot of money offering services to bring students and low wage workers in, with no consideration to the damage they were doing to all of us who were born and raised here - they wanted to make their million dollars. Another problem is that once someone arrives here, what they find is NOT what they were led to believe. What students and immigrants are told they need to live here is an absolute lie, living here in Canada has become very expensive. Many workers are severely under paid, and never even see the legal minimum wage, and the problem with that is, almost no Canadian will be hired on to those jobs - the reasons are that imported foreign workers will work below minimum wage because they are trapped here, and the Canadians already know that they will only struggle if they take jobs that pay so poorly. So yes, a lot of Canadians are VERY angry, and you really can't blame them. Once again, the Canadian government is responsible for much of this, and crooked employers who are willing to take advantage of low wage labour. It's an absolute mess.

There is no Canadian dream. Lucifur ruined it by replacing Canadians with East Indians. We owe Indians nothings, they owe us a lot.

This is me a decade ago moving from Phils to Canada. I never felt at home in the country of my birth — I hated the traffic and the monsoon rains (it can rain for months). I know a lot of nationalities rave about our tropical country & beautiful beaches but it also has become unaffordable for us the citizens. We became Canadians 5 yrs ago & have grown from 4 to 6 (2 Canada born kids) & now have 2 properties. It has worked for us but it was also not easy uprooting our lives & starting over. I don’t think we will ever find our home anywhere. Previously my husband and I also lived in the US (before kids). It is truly a privilege to be here but I always feel I am sojourner, always traveling & always searching. I hope you find your peace wherever life takes you. While affordability is def an issue there are a number of facts thrown around on this video that are making me question the data points being used. $3k rent sure, if you're downtown Vancouver and live on your own in a newer building with amenities which is what a friend of mine pays in Yaletown. But then I have a friends in KITS paying $1600, Main St $1500, Surrey $1100. There is not 7% of the population emigrating to the US. The rent can't be increased by $7000 as stated by the two girls, it's capped at around 3% annually, so not sure what the real context around that clip is. The girl who took a year to get housing at UBC - presumably she was renting somewhere else in Vancouver, I doubt she was living out of her car . Sounds like this was made with the most sensational examples which really undercts the video because I can't trust the other information about things I don't directly know. Having said that red tape has made building in Vancouver difficult and population growth has put huge pressure on the housing and rental market. Foreign investment purchases of housing has probably driven up the prices more than anything in Vancouver and as stated it has been linked to money laundering from drug money. It's the most expensive city in Canada btw, so while prices are high across the country, Vancouver is the worst of the lot, even worse than Toronto, so hardly an average example to look at.

I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. I love the fact that you spoke some harsh truths here sir, much respect to you and your family sir. I hope you can continue making such informative videos for people to learn from. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. I am in a position in life where I do not care if people want to say such things about me. I am also well educated and in the position to come up with well articulated arguments in my defence. My main issue with immigration that bothers me more than the rest not only affects us Canadians but also affects the immigrants as well. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race. 56 years in Canada, live on the west coast the best part of Canada. I would move to the USA in a heartbeat. It is a better nation, more prosperous and affordable. I live in Arizona in winter, love it a LOT. It is generally friendlier when I am in the US than in west coast Canada which is more reserved with less sense of humour (but Ontario and east coast have legendary senses of humour). Health care is scary bad in Canada, a much better value in the US even though it costs more.

The problem I have with Indians is that they dont like Canadians, make no effort to learn the language and culture, are very rude, entitled and disrespectful towards anyone that dont look like them. Then why are you here in Canada? This is a very multicultural country, which is something they obviously knew before coming here. They treat us Canadians with such hatred, disdain and indifference, especially in the workplace. Indians are always playing the victim and throwing the race card around or just protesting around every corner, every damn week when something doesn't work in their favor. If you're that damn unhappy here in Canada, you're free to leave anytime. And many Indians in Managerial positions will only hire other Indians, even though a lot of them aren't quality for the job or their English is very poor. Canada has always been very excepting and tolerant towards different ethnicities, but that's because they've always put in the effort of getting to know and learning from us.

We have lots of homeless and bums that live on the street that can use jobs we don't need foreign workers to come pick vegetables out of our fields if these bombs will get off their asses and go do the jobs at the Mexicans do they wouldn't be on the streets and they wouldn't be hopeless and homeless please go back to your country so we can fix ours

Racism against Indians is increasing. I was born here and they treated us like dirt then and treat us like dirt now. Student visas are just an excuse to be racist. They feel emboldened because we don't speak up. We don't speak up cause Indians are too busy separating themselves from each other. The separation is the reason you see so many racist comments towards Indians and nobody else. Even the ignorant Indians try and put all the blame on one group like Punjabis or Gujus. In Canada, you're just another brown person in the racist eyes. ?\n\nGood luck out here, stay strapped if you feel like your life is in danger. Do research on legal knives to carry. A lot of white Canadians have stuff like that on them, take my word as a brown person who was born in Canada.\n\n\n\nn

Divide and conquer. Friendships are mostly made because of similarities or similar interests. Same goes for small communities, ethnicities cuz of shared cultural values and traditions.\n\nDump a bunch of different people together and make them hate each other because they will fight for the scraps and you will rule them all. \n\nSad to see this happening btw I am also a first gen migrant. My 4 grandparents came to The Netherlands from Suriname. I am an Indian descendant 5th gen. \n\nCanada helped us a lot during WOII see we see you a close ally. Love from The Netherlands and India ❤

We Canadians are being invaded by millions of Muslims under the leadership of our dictator Justin Trudeau. Canada is no longer the country I grew up in. Our identity is fading fast, we are a country that harbours terrorists and their supporters, it’s only a matter of time before we have a terrorist attack much larger than we can even imagine. Not only are these new Canadians disrespectful to females but to our land as well, Wasaga beach and elsewhere in Canada it is not uncommon for them to openly defecate. Our Tim Hortons coffee shops used to be a great place, not anymore. Justin Trudeau and the Liberal party did this to us and it may be too late to fix. The Americans have enough problems at their southern border and they should be very careful who they allow in from the northern border. A lot of them hate America, hate the western way of life and hate each other.

Ayatollah of Iran is behind anything bad these days before Biden leaves so be ready for a lot worse unless someone is us telling him no you can't do that unfortunately we have no body in white house and he has been waiting for this ???

Germany needs some types of skilled workers (doctors, nurses, IT engineers, etc.), but they want people who can think like a German for other office jobs. \n\nI am not a huge fan of German culture after living for 13 years but my home country Japan isn´t better for foreigners on many aspects..\n\nGerman taxation system and company cultures in the IT industry are not competitive with the US or Canada. Within Europe, I envy the digitalization of the governmental sectors in the Netherlands.\n\nThe skilled workers who may enjoy living here are the people who love the German culture. My understanding is that that is a minority, most of the foreigners I know in this country are not thrilled with the ´fun´ factor.\n\nThe people from politically unstable countries appreciate the German democracy and rules of law, which I agree with except for the accompanying bureaucracy. And the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is whole lot more scary than the German counterpart, which should not be any problem for legal skilled workers, though.

Again Canadian citizens are NOT willing to support. You have the nerve to say that to us. Y'all are not needed here. We got lots of problem from our corrupt government and you are adding to misery we have. Assimilate to go home. Hope you understand clearly what our thoughts.

Honestly this is a worldwide problem affecting not only first world countries but also growing economies, Im Mexican and a big wave of first world immigrants to my country have raised the prices in housing, food, etc, a lot of us has been forced to move to find more affordable prices, since previous rents doubled or in some cases got triplicated.\n\nAnd I know they are moving because the situation in their own countries have gone so hard that everyone is looking for a better chance, the world governments needs to do something because life is getting hard for EVERYONE.

Not like anyone would care but this entire mess is just increasing racism against indians who have moved here ages ago and worked hard, have proper university degrees, etc.\nMy last job had both a punjabi manager and assistant manager, and somehow 70% of the team was punjabi (at one of the big 5 banks). Its ridiculous, and a lot of us are stuck between both sides here.

As an Indian I can tell you for sure that Punjab India is corrupt. They make fake asylums and get fake documents from Punjab. They also make fake Khalistani claims. In fact Canada should be aware that these guys might ask for there own country if they keep growing in BC area. I have to face racism and discrimination now despite being here for 40 years. Bring people who are loyal to Canada and will abide by its rules and contribute to the country. Yes I faced lot of hard ship here but I am thankful for what I have. I like to keep Canada diverse and glowing in success. Politicians have failed us. They have created same kind of problems in Europe. Not sure why we can get more strong minded politicians who have love for the country to make it great and keep it great. Jagmeet singh has a big hand in this liklely.

I recently worked in a fast food restaurant owned by a foreign national, to begin with there was about a half and half mix between the foreign students and Canadians, it was well run, nice place to work and we pretty much got along, suddenly the owner started advertising for help only in his own language newspaper, as the usual turnover took place all the new hires were of his nationality, students who were limited to 20 hours per week wound up working more hours than the full time workers which in my books left me wondering how much studying they were getting in, Covid hit, I asked the boss if he was going to sign up for getting us paid instead of laying us off, he said he wasn't eligible for that program and laid us off, after he laid us off he applied for and got on the program, suddenly names the Canadian supervisor had never seen working for us appeared on the payroll and mysteriously when we got back to normal and got called back they never did appear in our restaurant. I'm not a racist, have always loved working with other nationalities, but rules are there for a reason and need to be enforced, a lot of folks are taking advantage of our lax enforcement. If you want to work in Canada you should apply for the permit before you come, if you come as a student you need to be a student, if you come as a refugee you should declare that status before you get on a plane. When we have people living on the streets and in cars because housing is not affordable we need to question how many folks we are bringing in.
