Force their governments to change economically to sustain themselves for their interests. There is hardly any upward mobility in blue collar jobs, ever more so in the labor market. If they are not making $40K/year (assuming the majority has not a college degree in something marketable, advanced skills, a tradesman or artisan) then they’re struggling like everyone else in the service industry. Jobs for teenagers, entry level workers, part time jobseekers like for students, people needing extra income cause it’s so expensive in CA, NY, Austin, TX, Chicago or SF living off work entry-level service jobs. Technology has created a shortage or labor gap between unskilled jobs. Jobs that Americans need while pursuing training or technical degrees for the new skilled jobs. \n\nImmigrants do not need to fit the stereotypes of working in the service industry or as farm workers. American citizens can fill these labor positions quite easily. No, immigrants, work visa or not, do not work any harder, smarter, slower or faster than anyone else wanting to work. If someone is motivated to work an unskilled labor job then they will be just as effective as the next person. The HR for these companies definitely virtue signal and satisfy diversity quotas every time they hire someone due to their work status or ethnicity. Everyone and anyone can be replaced and so the question is, who do you, as an employer, want to replace the job vacancy with? Gonna hire cause they are a good fit or because your helping some politicians cause? Gonna grant asylum cause their lives are in danger from a government firing squad or because Biden/Harris will pat you on the back? \n\nThere is reason to illegally enter this country and it is disrespectful, disgraceful, dishonorable, dishonest and disheartening to the ones who are here legally by going through the process like everyone else paying time and money. Even Christopher Columbus paid to be here, no one handed him a free ticket to ‘paradise.’ The Mayflower patrons weren’t met with resistance by the indigenous community, they were harmonious. If there was a border in Maryland at Plymouth Rock, I am sure the Puritans would stop there first to get their passports stamped. I mean hell, these ‘asylum seekers’ don’t have the courtesy to get passports, why not? Passports are not that expensive considering what they pay coyotes. It makes no sense and is suspect. They won’t get stopped at the border if they have a passport!!!

I am an American. I am looking to relocate to Canada because of the bad experiences I have had as a California Licensed Structural Engineer with 25+ years of experience. This US license is really difficult to obtain because the exam has a 25% pass rate. In California, it is much tougher because of the earthquakes the state experiences.\n\nInstead of being treated with respect for having this Structural Engineer License, I have been treated badly by structural engineering firms in the US. In the US, you can be fired for no reason at all. They use Performance Improvement Plans to lay me off because I am much smarter than the people I work with. Licensed Structural Engineers do not have job security - so expect to work only a few months.\n\nIn the US, you will have a job for 4 months because your boss has decided to hire someone cheaper and give himself a raise. This happened to me at the City and County of Denver.\n\nLicensed Structural Engineers do not have job security at all because employers do not care about their employees. With workplaces like that, the US is not the place to be. American is not the greatest nation when you have morons like Harry Dunn and Lloyd Christmas from the movie Dumb and Dumber running things! Americans are downright stupid! That is why I am considering relocating to Canada.\n\nI started taking structural engineering courses at the University of British Columbia so I could better myself and get some Canadian experience. In the US, this cannot happen because Americans do not believe in bettering your professional career opportunities. In American companies, you can get fired for getting more education. It is really interesting doing these courses because I am learned alot of different engineering skills that they do not teach in the US. Plus I will be getting an award from Canada.

Great video, and 100% true. More than anything my frustration is with hiring and for some reason why people think we are completely dumb !! Having said that I will give it some more time as I have only been here for 4 years. For most of you coming for Europe this maybe a mediocre experience, coming from my country in the state it’s in Canada is still miles ahead. Los Ángeles is a weird place. People are segregated when it come to low income communities. The reason Los Angeles and Los Angeles county are like this is due to the gangs. In Los Angeles county, there are a lot of divisions of cities. City within a city. Each city has a main gang. For example, my city of La Puente. The main gang is La Puente 13. Within The city of La Puente there are subunits of gangs according to the different streets around the city. There are like 7 to 8 different gangs within La Puente. The neighboring cities are like this to, so things can get pretty violent. This is why Los Angeles is very segregated. In low income communities people just stay with their own people. \n\n Things are different in College towns and upper middle class communities are a lot more diverse. That is what you see in the movies.

Most, if not all, immigrants have gone through rigorous English proficiency tests from reading, writing, speaking. Likewise most of the immigrants have high educational backgrounds, so they’re definitely proficient in English. They may not have the native speaker accent (just like yourselves) but I highly doubt they could be regarded as not being proficient in the English language. What’s the big deal about the English language by the way? among all of the languages, it’s the easiest to master. So I highly doubt that’s one of the real reasons. It’s more on the stupid “not having Canadian experience” thing. Which is really doesn’t make much sense. How would you expect most immigrants to have Canadian work experience? This backwards thinking is among the reason why Canada is lagging compared to other global countries. Only Canada has this rule. That way, it’s limiting its chances of getting the best talents from every part of the world. Because of this rule, highly skilled immigrants are forced to work jobs that doesn’t require technical skills just to pay the bills, until they got fed up for not being able to get jobs according to their high skills and eventually leave Canada for the US.

This is the reason why most Asian that come from the upper middle income and high-income countries only came to Canada for citizenship. After that, they go back to their countries to work and live. Especially those that retired. My parent and their friends already bought the property back home, and with the retirement fun they receive here, they have a really good life back home. Very good video. I am an Australian citizen, and I share your views. Also I want to add another reason why I prefer Canada than Australia. Being originally from Peru, I currently live in Peru, my wife is also Peruvian and a baby with 5 month at the time of writing, however there is no family reunion visa to take my whole family (only my baby who will hold Australian citizenship but not my wife) so I cannot take them both, because migrations force my wife to apply to the Partner Visa, that cost AU$7850 (US$5,600) plus agent fees, documents, ticket price, and other cost. Also the waiting period is about 24 to 28 months. So if I return to Australia, I first need to find a job, then save the $5,600, send and amount of money to Peru during my absence, then wait about 2 years and spend about $10,000 to $15,000 extra to bring my family to Australia. The cost of waiting carries a lot of anxiety, health issued due to the uncertainty and may damage my marriage, And if I get to my wife a Visitor visa, she is not allowed to work and study, and I must pay private insurance, and for experience, private insurance policies and gap costs are very high. Of course visiting my family every 6 months is costly and timely prohibited, an economic flight from Australia to Peru costs about US$2,500 and takes about 1 day or 38 hours, add also the jet lag and day difference.\nIn contrast, Canada allows me to take my whole family in just 3 months, my wife can get a working visa, and if we decided to reunite in 6 o 9 month, I can go to Peru every long weekend to visit my family, a flight from Toronto to Lima is about $500 return and only 8 hours so I can go to Peru and come back to Canada in a long weeked, a luxury imposible to do if I lived in Australia. \nWhen my father passed away here in Lima, I was in Australia at university, and due to cost and time, I couldn't go to give him a farewell and to his funeral, a issue that regretted; for that reason, my mother-in-law, who needs care and being my wife, her only child, after facing my own experience, we decided that Canada and not Australia, is a better choice, if something happens with my in-law, from Canada my wife can see her quickly.\nThank you for sharing in this video

The major reason this African women love countries like Canada is because of feminism. They love societies where the men have basically been castrated, they can call police on their husbands or boyfriends and got him thrown out. They love those women worshipping societies, where she can never do wrong and is placed on a pedestal to be worshipped. My sister who works as an RN in Los Angeles told me that she has worked alongside Canadian, British, Aussie nurses in hospitals. California has the highest salaries for nurses in the US if not the entire world. At the height of the pandemic it wasn't unheard of for some of them to make $100/hour. Canada has been losing a lot of experienced healthcare workers to the US and this is partly the reason why their system is at a breaking point. It seems to me that Canada even with it's high cost of living and taxes is still attractive to folks coming from developing countries coz a single person who saves an average of $500/month is still better off than living in their home countries. But there've been thousands of cases of folks coming from Europe, Oceania and well-off countries in Asia who surrendered their PR cards at Pearson and other ports of entry.

It's worse in the US especially for middle income earners. They are taxed over 30 percent and still paying for their health insurance which is expensive. The immigrants crossing the borders are getting free food, free Healthcare, free housing and free phones. Hence the reason why they are coming in large numbers. I have to respectfully disagree with you girls on the tax system in Canada. You mention that you cannot be a millionaire or a billionaire. \n\nI really think that is the problem with our generation, excessive greed, everyone wants to be a millionaire/billionaire, but the reality is most of people in this world will only live an average middle class life or below, that has been the case throughout history in every country on earth. \n\nInstead of wanting to be a millionaire you should strive follow your passion and to master your craft, and if and when you do so, the end result maybe you achieving millionaire billionaire status \n\nThis how most rich people got their wealth, they worked at their craft and had passion and eventually they got the wealth that came along with it \n\nI agree with Canada's progressive tax system, the only problems we have run into since 2010 is that the government has been misallocating taxes collected and giving co-operate tax breaks. But the principle of the progressive tax system makes sense, because up until recently (2010ish) it prevented the nation's wealth from accumulating at the top and in the process increased the velocity of money.\n\n This enabled business to thrive because money was constantly changing hands instead of being concentrated at the top. \n\nThis had an overall effect of enabling most Canadians to join the middle class and in turn make Canada an attractive destination for many immigrants including your selves \n\nIf Canadian system did not have a progressive tax system, there would be gross inequality with all the associated problems (crime/drugs etc). \n\nI really think prospective immigrants should be realistic about their expectations before moving to Canada to avoid dissatisfaction. \n\nIf you could not be a millionaire in the country you were born in and of which culture you belong, but some how you believe that you can move half a world away and become a millionaire. \n\nYou know part of the reason you could not even achieve middle income statust in Africa (I am from Africa as well) let alone be a millionaire is because all the wealth in most African countries is concentrated in the hands of a few corrupt bastards in the government. \n\nThis concentration of wealth at the top is possible when there is no progressive tax system and ensures economic equilibrium in all sectors of the economy\n\nIt is the reason why there is no jobs or opportunity for young people in developing countries \n\nDo not get me wrong you can still be a millionaire in Canada, but you will have to really earn it, there is no shortcuts in life\n\nPatience, passion and perseverance is the key.

My wife, my 3 kids and I used to like Vancouver but not anymore!!! The weather is why we plan to leave for good but also the expensive rents! I also heard about horror stories at many hospitals (and yes, I have worked in Africa and to be honest, Africans hospitals are way more functional than the ones in Canada in terms of human aspect… there they care, Canadians do not give a shit about anyone!!! I have some African colleagues at work here and at least 80 percent of them either want to go back to Africa (one is actually going to start an Afro business there and build his own house) or move to Europe (one of them plans to live to my homeland Belgium and two others in France as apparent the pensions there are way better than the Canadian one) as soon as they get enough experience in canada! None of us at work , including me, want to retire or get old here in Canada! I'm currently planning to immigrate to Canada. As for me, the very reason why I want to move there is to have better life. There are some great points mentioned to this video but for some cases, most especially if you talk about other underpriviledge countries, Canada is much more better. I'm from the Philippines and I would say that our country is suffering from everything. High price of goods, salary for CAD375 minimum (for a month even you're bachelor degree holder), no health benefits (unless you are working in a private company that offers benefits), no educational benefits (I would consider scholarship but that wouldn't enough to survive in every semester that you'll take). Senior Citizens / PWD that only gets benefit from their 20% discount in every purchase they make for medicine and food and seniors sometimes didn't get their pensions... so on and so forth.\n\nI think, it all boils down from what country you came from and differences of the gov't system that they have. And all of us needs to work hard to get a better life. It will always depends on our decision on what lifestyle do you choose or how do you live your life or what life do you want to live.\n\nBut to conclude this, this is a great video. This a great heads up for those who wants to come to Canada.

I m from Lahore. Running my own business last year i made around 6 million pkr profit. And I started my business 3 years back. With lot of hard work and consistency i am able to make it and is hoping to increase it further. But after watching your videos i discussed my intention to try for Canadian Immigration with my wife.\nIs it worth trying for it?\nThe only reason is even after making good money you are ensalved to system. We work with different gov offices like fbr, customs and PRA. There attitude is pathetic that is why we have to work middle men and pay him commission. Moreover i m not able to adjust in this environment. The school system is pathetic. I don't like private schools and how they are looting middle class parents. Same is with Doctors. One of my friend who have well established textile business got their mother admitted to one very famous hospital in DHa lahore. Doctors almost killed her mother just to make more money. For very minor issue they paid around 2 million rs to different Private Doctors. And 3 to 4 operations without even doing ct scan. I luv my kids and would never like them to grow in this environment...

Hi, estimated time of completion of our PR visa process was 30 th of september as per the IRCC visa status.we completed all procedures including giving our biometrics before this time line.what could be the possible reason on why the COPR for me and my family is being delayed? Any idea on when we should expect this COPR? Are these delays quite normal during these pandemic days?

If someone wants to come illegally live work and so on then I can see a problem. Why can't people just go the legal route? Also this guy came with his family from America which is NOT a country of refugee status or seen as an endangering atmosphere. He and his family were accepted in the USA so automatically he loses his refugee status when trying to cross into Canada. We have rules for a reason. I just love how people ignore this simple fact

Why was this guy hiding in Buffalo? Was the US going to deport him? So he is lucky to be in Canada. Obviously, he did not immigrate from El Salvador because of personal fear but to take advantage of the money he could make in the US. That is not a good enough reason to be allowed into the US or Canada. Sorry, we can not support everyone in the whole world. If your country is bad stay there and fix it.

Of all the people in Canada who are convicted of shop lifting, what are the proportions of whites, latinos, blacks or aboriginals? Are shopkeepers justified in their suspicion? We hear a great deal about racism, but never any comparative statistics that prove or disprove it. What I am trying to say is: is there any reason why this prejudice exists in the first place?\nIn Edmonton a few years ago an aboriginal man died of a stroke while waiting for triage in a hospital emergency area. IF I remember correctly, police and hospital staff alike assumed he was drunk, not suffering a stroke. I think the chances of someone in a downtown lower east side area being drunk is much higher than having a stroke. So staff just assumed he was drunk. \nIf more people of all ethnic backgrounds behaved more like whites would that suspicion disappear? I wonder if there is a logical and reasonable explanation for why shop keepers feel they way they do.

While the Muslim thing might make some people feel bad an let me say this by no means, I'm I taking up for what these people said. Jesus said live even our enemies an that's what I am going to do \n\nWhile I do not agree with what they said. Their is one thing for sure. When something happens you don't hear muslims coming out condemning what has happened that much. An people are angry at what some do \n\nWhen you don't see any one coming out to call out people for what they have done or saying anything at all. Mostly what you see is people clapping a cheering.
