A lot of Indians treat white people really badly. Especially when there is money involved. It’s now extremely common that people here hate dealing with Indians as customers of their business and will go as far as avoid it altogether. They will often relentlessly try to negotiate services, lie and say anything to get get their way, pester businesses until they cave to their demands and even leave bad reviews which they say they will change if you give them a good deal. None of this is the way things are done in Canada and that needs to be respected. Something kind of funny, I’ve heard many people say that Indians will often say they will refer tons of friends and family to a business if you give them an unreasonable discount (which they never do once they’ve gotten what they want), but what they don’t realize is that referring a bunch more Indians to them is the last thing that business wants. And really, some of the discounts they want on things are just ridiculous. When I was selling my car a few years ago, I had it listed for $55,000 and I got bombarded by Indians offering $20,000-$25,000 and every lie under the sun of why that’s all it was worth, other people are saying yes to offers like that for the same car, dealerships are selling them for that much and so on. Like come on. And I guess while I’m at it, I hate to say but it’s a common thing here to walk into a gas station and the smell of body odour just hits you like a brick. I’ve stopped going to 3 different stations because of it. I’m sure there’s some pungent white people out there but damn. This is on a whole other level. It literally fills the entire building.

It's very contradicting to hear that Hindus are the most law-abiding citizens, highly educated, good jobs, helping in their society. Improve trade and cut H4 visas for US as i have no idea on other countries. I've been to several embassies Western and other European Non Western embassies in India over the past 25 years and most of them don't allow Indian visa applicants inside the Embassy/Consulate. Some allow Indian visa applicants only at the entrance or only inside the gate not beyond. Others allow Indian visa applicants only at the gate and you hand your application and passport to the security. It depends on what kind of visa of course. If it's for tourism or a short term visa then you're not allowed inside. If it's long term then some embassies interview you so those embassies allow. But the embassies of those very countries in countries other than India are much more open and you can actually go inside the embassy and speak to consular officers etc. In India in most Western embassies and even some Non Western embassies you cannot do that unless you're applying for long term visa or immigration etc.

Just stop applying for visas for any country. If you do this collectively, unitedly for a year or two, it will bring lots of countries to their senses. Students with expired visas should go back. But what is Canadian culture? Is it found in Quebec? Alberta? Or the Reserves? What is it exactly? Do Canadian Immigration documents require applicants to sign they will convert their religion or culture after coming here? If you would change your culture upon entering another country, good for you but you have no right to expect that kind of inauthenticity from other people. I worked at a Polish Grocery store and came across a man who's lived here for 30 years and spoke 10 words of English. All they speak at that store is Polish. I have been in a lot of places working around the world, worked with south asian people. IMO, majority of them ( Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshi, Shri lankans, Nepalese) specially Indians, lacks good manners and right conduct, they don't care about safety at work, don't care about proper health hygiene, unsanitary food preparation, cooking and serving (as we saw on a lot of videos here at YT and other social media platform). It looks like they really don't have any health concerns in regards to food bacterial contamination and safety. If these behaviours maintained and acted on places they go and lived, who you thought would be happy and delighted? Just a common sense...if these people does not and could not do the GMRC (Good manners and right conduct), that a lot of civilized world does, they don't belong and had to leaved.

I lived in the Florida Keys and loved it but the bumper stickers that said Yankees go home made me wonder how they felt about Canadians. I was injured at work and was taken to the hospital were work paid the hospital bill but when the nurse said go to the drugstore and buy a bandage they will be cheaper then if I put one on you. That was a rude awaking as to where I was.\nThe next was I was living with a nurse and at the hospital they brought in a person that had no ID on him. He had been in a terrible car accident but with no ID they would not treat him ,so he died. Turned out he was a Doctor from Key West driving to Miami . The hospital staff were in shock they had let one of their own die. In Canada they would operate first and worry about money or insurance later.

Oh, no… our emergency room wait times average is probably around 3 hours (give or take). While 15 to 20 minutes sounds absolutely awesome, it’s not happening here, unfortunately. And that’s because we don’t have enough medical doctors in emergency care. The majority of them are in private practice, (because it pays better) and even then, there aren’t enough doctors for our growing population. I will admit, though, if you don’t want to go to a hospital emergency room to be seen you can always access walk-in clinics which are all over the place. You don’t have to pay. You just show your OHIP card (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) and the wait is probably less than an hour to be seen. Our Walmarts have walk-in clinics, for example. Easy access, less wait times. Of course, these clinics are not for major emergencies such as heart attacks, bleeding, broken bones, etc., but they definitely come in handy if you don’t have a family physician.

These are east Indians coming from the UK. They had US visas from the UK. What is Canada to do when they are in transit passengers from the UK and given fake or real but seems fake US visas. Similar story, grew up in Vancouver as a kid. Can't say that I got much from Canada other than a pile of student debt. With a top engineering degree from a Canadian university, no jobs, no interviews. If it set me up for a better future, I could give it some credit, but even with visas, I had *much* better luck with opportunities in the US and even in western Europe, which is similarly socialist to Canada. I have had to move from country to country thanks to the lack of decent opportunity in Canada. More liability than asset, in my experience, other than the passport. As a russian who raised in Germany i can say its impossible to close friendships with germans if you are not familiar with them since kindergarten or school ?I ve spent 25 years of living here and got only one german friend, all other are foreigners who raised in Germany like turks, russians, greeks and so on. My advice would be , come to Germany for economical reasons, but go to England or Spain if you care about social life.

Another thing to consider is to not argue with the police. In a traffic stop, you will usually do much better if you are polite, compliant and apologetic. They can breathalize you any time they want- no probable cause required! Yes, you have rights, and if your rights are trampled on, argue it in court, not on the roadside. If you’re drunk, and they tell you to go home- do it. NEVER attempt to bribe a police officer (or other official)- EVER. \n\nWhen dealing with officials, or difficult customer situations, getting loud and argumentative will make them less likely to help you. Being humble, asking for genuine help will get you much further. Persistence is okay, but remain quiet and polite about it. “I’m sorry, but I just can’t seem to get this done. I'm an immigrant looking to get my PR, I have qualifications from one of the top universities in the world, experience as an international consultant and most important I do respect the Canadian culture and follow the rules. However, even for me it is uncertain what is going to happen? and/or if the government will make more changes and kick us out hahaha. I do believe that immigration has poured a lot of money into Canadian's pockets and most of them are not considering that, some of that money is going to go to another country who is willing to manage immigration with a better approach and provide a more certain perspective to new immigrants. The government allowed many bad actors (locals and foreigners) to take advantage of the system and those who are going to pay the bill are new immigrants due to political elections, and that is just sad. We will see who are they going to blame for mismanagement of public resources and the possible crash of several industries, that are currently relaying on foreign money, once there are no new immigrants to blame. I agree with most of the new rules regarding immigration, but I strongly disagree with the political approach of how the government is blaming immigrants for their lack of proper management. I have to conclude that you have no idea what the facts are surrounding entry into this country. 1. If there visa is expired, then they have no valid reasons to here and must go. However, what is true is that we will have to get our heads around the fact that immigration is necessary to make sure our economic reality doesn't slide further. Our fertility rate has fell beneath the target rate. Millennials now outnumber Boomers and the fall in the kids per woman at 1.33 is a record low. Immigration is the prime reason why we went from 16 million people in 1662 to 40 million people today..?

Low skill and low wage might have been ok when costs were low - low food prices, low energy prices, low housing and rental costs, etc. Now that everything is incredibly expensive, Canada is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either wages will go up (which have been fairly stagnant for the last 30-40 years) so that it goes above and beyond inflation, OR you will not be able to bring in low skill, low wage labor. Simply put, when rents are $3000 a month in Toronto, minimum wage of $15/hr is $2500/mth (before taxes). Add another $1000/mth for food, and $500/mth for other expeditures - and you can see that just to survive - a person in Toronto needs a minimum of $4500/mth to not be on the streets. And this is IFF they are not married and have kids which can easily drive expenses to $6000/mth\n\nSo... for someone to just live normally, they need a bare minimum of $30/hr for 2000hr/year - this is a salary of $60K before taxes!\n\nBut the median income in Canada is 35K to 40K (it's on your tax return which determines if you get extra help from the government).\n\nSo... with these prices - you will never get low wage workers here... period. You can't expect immigrants to work as slaves and then pull your country out of the mess you created by spending money on useless programs like a drunken sailor.\n\nCut costs, cut taxes, cut inflation (stop printing money), cut useless programs (ala DOGE in the US), allow housing to crash, diversify your economy, invest in start ups and entrepreneurs, increase salaries, scrap the carbon tax, etc. Notice - none of these have anything to do with immigration.

Canada wants immigrants so they can pay them cheap for meanial jobs that nobody wants to do. Period. All your efforts spent getting a degree in something will be worth nothing here. Period. Even if you consider yourself super smart with an IQ above average and think you can defy the system, think better: yes you can go to school here and get your degree recognized, but is gonna take a lot of time and money, you'll probably have to work two jobs under shitty weather and pay the rent for an apartment not bigger than a shoebox, not to mention the college fees. Is it worth it? After 15 years spent here first as an immigrant and now as a citizen, I still have to understand what makes Canada so appealing to people. But then I came from Europe, where life is easy and relaxed, so I guess my point of view is biased.

Doing the opposite causes friction and even arguments where customers explicitly say: “Please don’t talk over me, listen to me first.”\nPutting myself in the shoes of a hiring manager who is culturally Canadian, knowing that Canadians are very risk averse and kept to themselves: Why would I stir the pot in the workplace by bringing in a foreign worker who may have internalized habits that are seen as rude and abrupt?\nIt’s not only about English skills, degrees, who does things faster, etc., but cultural awareness. If you don’t take the time to learn about the culture of the place you are migrating to and/or expect that locals welcome habits that could be perceived as rude and shocking to most Canadians, you are going to limit your network to only people in your cultural group - which will definitely hinder opportunities for growth. Don’t make the mistake of assuming that everybody thinks and acts the same as you do.

Nothing but pissed off, miserable people here. Many Canadians I know have moved to India and love it. The problem with here is also with Khalistan issue (of course not all Punjabis there want Khalistan and are absolutely chill people and people here in India, Punjabis, also don't want Khalistan, I have some close friends who are Sikh and are most Dildaar, Big-hearted, people I know). Over the years Indian government has warned Canadian government about this issue constantly and after years of housing these Canadian terrorists (because Canada calls them their citizens and protects them, what else can be the correct term for them and nothing like Khalistan exists) they've started to cause problems for the people already living there (like the terrorists Pakistan was housing are causing problems to them). They know they are not gonna get a Khalistan in India so where else are they gonna build it? Voila! Canada! Now, you may think that worsening relations with India is a good thing for Canada, yeah no, its not good because India has trade relations with Canada which may worsen due to this (yeah, great going for an economy which is already in shambles) and UK or US are not gonna do anything to India over Canada because India geopolitically has more significance than Canada (I'm not bragging, please don't misunderstand). Of course, prices will go up, but that's not the main issue here. Besides, liberals are the last group who should be complaining about rising costs! The real question is who will suffer the most.
