All those who leave Canada will come back in 5 years. They will worship the country for its economic growth beginning with a new Clean energy sector. Liberals are on the right path, but with a lacklustre message that doesn't really counter the escape artists' conservative expense slashing without an alternative plan to place before the public for comparison. It's obvious that nobody wants to lose their earned income either through taxes or any other fees. But, the progressive conservatives say that environment and pollution is a business decision whereas Nature and environment is everybody's business. Every citizens business.If not for the natural resources the Fossil fuel industry fully backed by the conservatives would not make any money or profits. Hence shareholder primacy is a hoax in front of human energy that is sustained by clean environment. Mark Carney leads that mission internationally. Money is not Energy, it's only a lever. Therefore, you need people living in good health to action the lever. Canada is full of natural resources, untapped critical minerals etc. and has been able to garner large amounts of foreign investment from large corporations like Honda, Dow and BHP to develop the much demanded clean energy and Energy transformation better than the USA. These companies know Canada's potential for a reliable economy and economic growth.

It is so interesting how europeans whom have a notorious history for stealing people's lands, killing, raping etc. even till date, will come up on media to complain that some of their VICTIMS are migrating to a land (canada) which is not even originally european in the first place neither are the aborigines europeans. I am not indian, i don't support any evil done by any immigrant or any act of filth and disorderliness, i dont live in canada and never plan to live in canada but this is quite interesting. Generally, Canadian people like immigrants in our country. The problem is economic. With AI and robotics threatening to steal people's jobs, our continued high immigration rate will help to depress wages for both native Canadians and immigrants. Poverty rates will likely go up. The current federal government needs to come up with a better economic plan to prevent these things from happening.

But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. Just to give Americans a little context, while we pay taxes to cover doctor or hospital visits and associated costs, we do pay for prescription drugs, dental and vison costs directly. Like in America, many employers offer insurance plans to cover at least some of those expenses. On the other hand, Canada has a serious shortage of medical professionals, largely due to the fact that privatized health care is more lucrative.

People who come to Canada after receiving their PR struggle way too much. When you apply for a job here, they require you to have 1 year of Canadian working experience. How does someone fulfill that criteria if they've just landed in a new country? The government should instead open PR for only blue-collar jobs, which are actually in high demand. The whole immigration program otherwise feels like a scam. You shouldn't be getting any points for your educational and professional qualifications in the application when, in reality, it's not going to help you afterward. Most of the people I know here are planning a relocation because they don't see themselves owning a house anytime soon.

I was just forced by my husband to come here in 2010. I never plan to live abroad but I went for the sake of the kids and dont want regret. My husband is mentally ill even before we got married(family took advantage of me when they saw I was an independent widow that time). Upon arriving here, nothing was prepared,no beds no nothing just the social housing and he was already orienting me to get food from food bank and simply convinced me to follow here for the child benefits,free education and healthcare. Let me just mention, the family of my husband is claiming they were rich and prominent in the Philippines. Fast forward....14 years after, he didnt get a house for us....I just ran after him for child support....he didnt finish the divorce process that I ask him to do upon arrival....now, that its time for him to pay tution fee for college, he is mad! He is so desperate that he brainwashed one of his sons to blame me and make me feel like the whole thing is my fault! My son almost killed me last time bec his dad getting sympathy and ranting that he has no money. This is the biggest regret of my life......I believe if my sons are educated and grew up in the Philippines, they are more happy and was able to tap all their talents and intelligence. I am done here! And for people telling me that the money we earn here we dont get in the Philippines....sorry, my peace of mind and dignity has no price tag. I am not materialistic too. In Canada, for every 14 retiring construction workers there is only one to replace them. \n \nIn 2022, Canada welcomed 437,000 new permanent residents, over 604,000 temporary workers, 500,000 foreign students, and nearly 100,000 refugees, all of which significantly impact housing. More of the same in 2023, and I am sure more in 2024. Canada wants to grow its population to 100M people by 2100. We are only at 40M. If you reside in a rapidly growing area, your perspective might differ from those in other regions. Expensive rent and house prices in big cities like Toronto made a lot of people move out and the rents have risen in the surrounding area where there is less high paying jobs.

Hey Tyler i love your work. I am a savagely loyal Albertan. \nAlberta is the best province. Change my mind. \nBut if Alberta starts slipping to the Left with another NDP/Socialist government, i would move to the US no question. Not just anywhere though. The 2 coasts are dumpster fires. (No offense if you live there) Canada is messed up like the 2 coasts. Trudeaus MO has been to systematically dismantle this once great, thriving, proud country for 8 long years. With election fraud and more seats in the Maritime provinces than all the Western provinces, and the Federal government bribing those poorer provinces for votes, it may be a long time before the Liberals are removed. I am born in Canada and i lived in Montreal's suburb(South Shore like we say here) all my life and i love it but i would never live in big major cities because of increases of crimes, high prices of houses/condo, traffic jam, pollution. \nMy girlfriend from Beijing came here last september for 2 months and she really loved it. She enjoyed the freedom, the many different foods from other countries in restaurants, our culture , the people kindness, beautiful nature and easy living.\nYes we have too free medical health care here in Quebec's province(Sun card ) and i have an excellent medical plan with my employer so i can have acess to private clinics free of charges when it's too long in public hospitals.\nI hate snow and cold long winters since the age of 18 when i had to go out for work or school and i dont like our corrupt goverment but we can vote for a less worst one every 4 years. ?

I moved from a third world country 3 years ago and planning to move back because somehow as crazy as it sounds Canada seems like a downgrade. No matter how Poor I was in South America I was always able to afford rent and groceries. Here, it’s one or the other.
