Great video. Canada is now completely unaffordable. The irony is people come to Canada for a better life and a higher standard of living. That Canada is gone.

Very good objective video. I grew up in Toronto and had many great experiences in the city as well as commuting from west Toronto into the city for five years of high school (grade 9 to grade13). At an very early age I used to fearlessly ride buses, street cars and the subway system with no concerns of crime or potential violence in my mind. I wouldn't suggest this now for a young person unless you have 2 or 3 marshal arts black belts in your resume! The very same circumstances exist in Vancouver...quite possibly x's 2. My family and I now live a short distance east of Vancouver, but the city has changed about 10,000% since I lived there from the late '70's to the late '90's. I don't mind saying that I believe most of the problems/issues in Toronto, Vancouver and many other cities in Canada have been accentuated by poor policy decisions at all levels of government...municipal, provincial and federal...particularly since 2015 aka the J Trudeau era. I would like to share this video with MP Pierre Poilievre is that is OK with you. JV.

Great video, candid and honest appraisal of the current situation in Canada. We moved to Canada from the UK 20 years ago and initially we loved every minute. But the slow spiral into the hell hole since Trudeau took power has totally changed our opinion of Canada. We have now retired and spend winter in the USA and considering leaving if Trudeau gets re-elected next time around. Also we have to say how Canadians are very disingenuous and can be two faced.\nWe do have many Canadian friends but in 20 years we are not that close to them.

I’m originally from Kazakhstan but have lived all my adult life in California (21-41) and now considering moving out of state or even country. I do have still another 10 years I need to live here to accomplish a few of my career goals to live more comfortably afterwards, but in a long run this is not a place to live anymore. Even in the past 20 years I’ve lived in California I’ve witnessed economy and the whole family values goes down the drain, more homelessness, less opportunities, people are more selfish, etc. I know it is happening all around the world too but as in this video it was stated, it is much harder for me to be a practicing Muslim in an environment surrounded by non Muslims (no offense) - just the lack of mosques in my vicinity, an Islamic environment for my child, halal foods, etc. There are mosques and halal food, but I have to drive for it. I have wonderful friends, coworkers and neighbors that are non Muslim and super nice and we have great relationships. But there are oftentimes situations when I wish they understood me better like with this situation about Palestine. I think Palestine is the last drop we needed to firmly make the decision to move.

Great Video.. one important missed metric fact is Canada ranks 6 on the Global Peace Index and USA ranks 120.\nThe crime index is very high in USA compared to Canada

Well this totally shattered my thoughts of leaving the USA. Great video, much thanks!

Hi Jason\nThanks for the great video\nFor the Atlantic program, should the degree obtained be at least 24 months ago for skilled workers?\nI saw this on the site in the Educational requirements section.\nThe educational credential must have been obtained within 24 months prior to the date you applied for permanent residence.\nI want to apply for a skilled workers stream but this sentence is not clear what stream should attend.

It is interesting to hear opinions about living in Canada from an Indonesian (my guess, and I am sorry if you are not) who has been living abroad (including in Canada) for many years. Great video form you. Btw, I do not live in Canada.

Interesting video! Here's my perspective:\n\nI'm from Quebec City, of Chinese descent, born and raised in Montreal, where I lived for 21 years. I've also lived in Vancouver for 3 years, Toronto for 5 years, returned to Montreal for another 3 years, and have now been in Quebec City for 15 years.\n\nAs a Quebec City resident and business owner, I find the city amazing. During the pandemic, there were many programs and subsidies available. I even wrote to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau regarding the CEBA program for businesses, suggesting some changes to the eligibility criteria. They followed through, and Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau sent a detailed response, signed by him but likely written by his staff, explaining the revised criteria and suggesting other potential programs. Provincially, my MP's staff guided me through various programs. Ultimately, I received nearly everything I needed to survive and potentially thrive through the pandemic (to be confirmed in 2024).\n\nTaxes are high, but I feel safe in Quebec City. Crime rates are low, and I've experienced little racism, possibly due to my fluency in French. Starting a business here has been easy, with minimal costs and bureaucracy.\n\nAs a gay man, I've never felt endangered. I can comfortably express affection for my spouse in public without feeling judged.\n\nHealthcare, including access to medication and doctor consultations, is extremely affordable. Super Clinics offer next-day appointments at no cost.\n\nI own a commercial condo for my business, which cost significantly less than it would have in Toronto or Vancouver. My rent for a one-bedroom apartment is CAD 755, and electricity bills are remarkably low.\n\nWith the shift to online business, I've accessed international markets while benefiting from a low-cost, safe environment. I received a CAD 2400 subsidy from the Canada Digital Adoption Program, among other government-funded programs, to expand internationally.\n\nAlthough homelessness exists in Quebec City, many supportive programs are available, and most homeless individuals here are polite, likely because they face less stigma.\n\nI believe it's crucial to explore different locations when moving to Canada. Many smaller cities offer great opportunities, which works to my advantage.\n\nRegarding the judiciary system, it's not perfect but feels less biased compared to the Supreme Court of the United States, such as in cases like Roe v. Wade.\n\nMy advice to immigrants is to learn the local language fluently for effective communication. Utilize all available federal and provincial tools, like legal aid, and don't hesitate to contact your MP. In my experience, they've been very helpful.\n\nAll the best, Febby!

New subscriber here ??‍♀️ loved your video i will give you my honest opnion and what i learned since i just immigrated 6 months ago it took us 3 years and all our money to do this\nWe are Egyptians we immigrated from Egypt to Australia i have a 3 year old daughter just know that now in the middle east some international school do teach things about gays and in most arab countries this new generation thinks that drinking and partying is being cool u would be shocked how this new generation is westernized so take care ,Dubai is a great option but take care of that part i just said plus they love to show off their money\nSouth Africa i know an arab family who just left bec their kid almost got kidnapped and they were shot at so it's not so safe \nWe chose australia bec people are down to earth ( not like Dubai ) and here is a huge arab community plus they are stricked about drinking and almost no arab hate crimes plus the weather is good since we too hate the cold ? we live in perth it's modern enough but still quite and family friendly australia has great education and Healthcare too hope this helps ❤ good luck guys if you have any questions i am more than happy to help ?

Salam, Brother Will and Sister Sana, firstly I would like to say thats a great decision. As an idea... I have a friend who moved to Qatar from the UK and he now says he will never come back, he lives there with his wife and 2 children. Great life... It may also help you to contact fellow Muslim influencers like Jasmine and Dawoud who have moved to Dubai recently from Canada and they made a video on costa etc \n\nHope the above helps.

I really feel like I was meant to see this video today... I have been on the fence about moving from Australia to a more Islamic dominated country.. God really does show us what we need when we need it... I hope your move goes well and you find a great place to live
2023-12-27 0
Great video! I love how you guys broke it down like that. And I have so much respect for all of your decisions especially the last one! \nMy husband and I are also\nContemplating the same thing and are hoping to be able to take this decision soon inshAllah.\n\nI would recommend Oman in the gulf beside Dubai. I lived there for a few years. It has both the cultural Islamic aspect but is also\nDeveloped and modern enough to enjoy. My issue with Dubai is that has lost its Islamic culture and unfortunately I feel that a lot of the Gulf countries are quite shallow and vain when it comes to money and materialism, something I worry about when raising my children as well. But oman literally has it all and their pay is high plus one of the highest currencies.

Lynn just watched this video ,great content, i came across it after a friend of mine with a good job in kenya asked me if i had any links there, i am Jamaican, i actually established a business in Nairobi Kenya, which i moved from Jamaica which started in the UK, i told my friend i did have links but he would not be able to take the Cold weather, look Lynn the answer for me is if your KENYAN Government opened the doors to the Diaspora to come to Kenya from the Carribean ,USA and South America , we would bring our wealth and skills which are higher,no disrespect, yes there are intellectuals in Kenya, but they realise when they work in places like Canada that they are learning more, we as black Diasporans already had a head start when it comes to that , because we have been in those countries since Slavery unfortunately, but we took the knowledge anyway, if we came to Kenya and other African countries, not only would jobs be created for kenyans and such like but your living standards and economy would improve, its a no brainer, please do i video on this subject,?keep up the good work, nuff respect

Hey guys, been thinking about this for myself, born and raised in the US. A young 20 something, who’s been learning about other cultures and Islam. I’m also not pleased with the direction my country is going in and was wondering if there are any places anyone in the comments have any good recommendations? I’ve looked into Oman a bit and I know the Saleh’s have said good things about Malaysia. (I’m also a fun in the sun type ?) Anyways, completely understand the frustration, great video as always.

Thanks for your great videos, Hope one day you create a video about Iran

Great video! However you forgot to mention an important fact about our Government. As you may be aware our Prime Minister Trudeau brought an SS Nazi into our Parliament who was received with a standing ovation from all parties. Canada is on a dangerous political trajectory. Canadians have seen their right to free speech challenged by Trudeau who illegally brought action against the Freedom Convoy. Trudeau also through Bill C-11 is controlling the media so that he can decide what information Canadians may receive.

Very detailed and researched video. Love your work. You got such a great team.

7 years ago when I researched Canada to migrate to as a software engineer, I came to know the so-called Canadian Experience and that was it for me to look elsewhere haha\n\nEdit: I watched the video to the end and enjoyed your style of creating content, it didn't get me bored. Great Video!

Great video and content but what’s up with the staccato robotic style of talking? It sounds like a bot, not a human. Am I the only one?
2023-12-16 1
This video is spot on. I am Canadian and moved to the US 15 years ago. Best financial decision I have made. I don’t know how middle class Canadians can afford a mortgage or rent. Canadian health care system sounds great until you really need to use it.

What a great video. You touched every reasons and points ??
2023-12-13 0
You nailed it, I may off missed it but you missed the fact Canadians are also taxed to insane amounts with taxes on taxes even. Great video very factual.
2023-12-11 0
Hey, I noticed you mention a pot of studies and articles, but not once do you mention the publishers or authors of the studies? Unfortunately it makes it very hard to trust anything shown in the video because of the unknown potential bais of the original reporting and sources. For thw stifles you seem to have spesificly cut out the name of the publication & writer which normally is above and below the headline respectively. Great video otherwise but, would you consider including your sources on screen, in your script, or in the description? (I saw near the end you kept the author for one of the studies - University of Maryland B. Pellegrino so thank you for that one!)

Great video, and thanks for letting the world know that Canada is going down...!! So sad for us Canadians who worked so hard to keep the country better
2023-12-08 0
Put some real meat behind your video to lift its quality. Lots of newspaper headlines without references/sources, and the great argument about oligopolized industry needs reference numbers, too. It's a very sobering video, especially given how Canada has the same trends as every Western country - just more intense.

Great video and chock full of info, thanks! Side question... what model is the microphone you are using? It sounds crystal clear.

Born and raised in Toronto / GTA. At age 22, after the 1st wave of the COVID-19 crisis I felt the strong desire to leave - ridiculously high living costs, low salaries, general negative sentiment amongst torontonians, drastic lockdowns to combat COVID, insane traffic / poor public transport. I just graduated from university when I made the decision to move to Copenhagen, Denmark. 3 years later and I am confident it was one of the best decisions of my life. As much as I love Canada, I have to admit that the country is lagging FAR behind Scandinavian countries and I prefer my lifestyle here. Great Video btw!

Very good video! I am an immigrant myself and I simply can't understand why people still want to come here. The cost of living is out of control and the job opportunities are not great.

Thanks for this great video. The present government has changed Canada so much in the last 8 years. We really need change. Great content!! Watched the whole video.

Great, no nonsense video. SOrry to hear that things have gotten so bad. I came to study in 2007 and it was still ok. I absolutely loved it, I think part of the problem is everyone wants to go to YYZ or YVR, but I found the outer suburbs of Montreal, and rural quebec to be even just a little lower than an average US city. Food I guess depends where you go. The situation in the US is only a little better.....Hopefully things get better quickly.....
2023-11-24 0
Great video and content. As a Canadian who works and travels abroad I think the major reason that newcomers are leaving Canada is the economics. High income individuals will pay over 50% tax and the cost of living is way more than it is for other countries in the world. Basically Canada has degenerated into a socialist sh*thole under the Liberals and the world is waking up to it.
2023-11-24 0
Great, detailed video. Occasionally found your channel, and watch it from time to time. Was good to hear that you'll stay. You might need do small remark - US is NOT much much larger than Canada (it is smaller), but the population and density of population is much larger.

Great points! Love the video. Just wanted to mention although software engineers at google make that much, many software engineers make much less in california (80-140k) and with the job market right now, many that got laid off from 120k jobs settle for jobs that make less

Great video my friend. We had a dream for 12 years of retiring in Mexico. In 2021 we made that dream a reality. Cheers from 2 Canadians ?? living in Mexico. ??✌?
