?Sad thing is, we are all in this together. We will all be migrants soon enough. These countries people are fleeing from were despaired by the same criminals destroying America. Most people are good and desperate for a decent life. Everything that is happening is deliberate.

It breaks my heart that these people are so desperate to have a better life, BUT go through the proper channels. This influx is going to be the nail in the coffin for our economy. It's going to take resources from our own citizens who need just as much help.

I've worked in the construction industry for 35 plus years. Mexicans come here and take our jobs. everyday you see only Mexicans on job sites. illegal? probably!\nour big companies is the problem...don't hire them.. hire only American and you will see the surge slow way down. push them back into their own country. they don't like it when we go to their country. but we will see this just like every other time. they will be here taking our heath care our jobs our lifes

Wow! That was wild. Here in San Ysidro everything was calm and actually civil. People waited their turn. I live nearby so I saw it with my own eyes. People at las Americas outlet would pass by food to them and the officers gave them the food. I was an immigrant 35 years ago I am now a us citizens and although I love the USA, I will always remember the struggles I had to go through. The hunger, the injustice, the reject and the cultural assimilation, learning a new language, and work work work until I couldn’t no more. All those efforts paid off and I believe EVERYONE has a right to have a better life. I have family members in Canada and Europe who are also immigrants and also go through these struggles. If they don’t make it to the USA, I hope the Mexican government takes advantage of this immigration influx, after all, the USA is great because of us. It’s time other countries take advantage and advance as well ??

As a Jamaican Canadian I experience some anti-black racism all my life. The worst was at a few workplaces and a couple of visits to Montreal. I live in Toronto and it's here to, but not that bad. the western provinces besides BC are the worst. Quebec and the Atlantic provinces are also bad. My advice to all my brothas and sistahs that want to live in Canada is that you live in the GTA in Ontario. One other thing Do not live in Brampton, or you will be discriminated by another immigrant group which I won't say but some know.

The country’s that add value to the world are migrated to while having basically no children themselves replaced by nations the only exist and most only detriment the world, like Venezuela. The third world will replace the people of the first world, as global IQ continues to decline. The west may have advanced humanity into a new age and given us a chance to spread our wings into the solar system, but I guess it’s racist to call for the preservation of the western man and way of life.

Mexico is thriving, why cant they attempt to have a good life there? Something Im missing?

There are 196 countries on earth and as someone who has studied Art History and Anthropology I plan on visiting all of them. Why? Because there are too many videos of black people all over the world who have been either born in those countries or are expats and moved there and they show how happy they are and how life abroad is better than America. Also, I have noticed that both SYSBM/Passport Bros and Black Women Divestors have been getting alot of pushback discouragement from traveling or moving overseas. I think I know why. See, if the majority of black people (men and women) were to leave the U.S. in more than 50% that means that they would be taking their $1.24 Trillion dollar buying spending power with them along with their tax dollars and despite the racism here in America the elites want to keep us here for monetary reasons. I truly believe that their is a hidden agenda to keep blacks stuck here in America by any means necessary and I don't buy it.

This is disgusting. Come in the right way. They have no respect for our way of life let's feed and give housing to our own .they don't pledge allegiance to the United States of America.

My father fled his country to fight Islamic extremist in Afghanistan and Iraq. He fought and sacrificed his life for this Country. Because, He understood what opportunity awaits in the US of A. But it doesn’t come free. If you do things as should, follow the process. Asylum or Not. Follow the process!!!

By not including a single quality of life measure you fail to analyze or provide a justification for why production should be a relevant measure of a country’s status or performance. What is the point of production if the benefits don’t go back to the people who live in the country?

Need more jobs, lesser rent/lower inflation/removal of businesses not following labor laws/proper housing/homeless housing and job directories. I dont think keeping out immigrants will really improve anything, America has always been a melting pot of sorts and was ultimately built by immigrants and still relies on their affordability of labor cost. Americans are racist and afraid that theyll be knocked off the ladder by someone that will probably outwork them, then unable to afford homing, and unable to find a job themselves. They dont want to be in Mexicos shoes, Venezuela specifically, as shown here. US population has been around 54% working; while 76% from Mexico. A wall wasnt going to fix the situation, never was -- it was a bit silly dont you think? There shouldve been more put into expanding border patrol, they obviously handle it better. And claiming aslyum has backfired: theyre over-full, lack funding, and no one can remove them because it has become a neccesarity now.\nI dont think they should be denied a potentially better way of life but this wasnt as much an option as they had hoped it be.

These people have suffered, watched their families starve, walked thousands of miles, been rape, kidnapped, starved, assaulted and we can say no? What happened to the American Dream? What happened to welcoming all people to pursue a new life? what happened to the thing that makes us American? Give refugees asylum. We have the resources to do it…

If they just knew it is nowdays easier to start from 0 a new life in Juarez than in the US itself. Literally you can place a small food stand without having to face any taxes or hard processes, as oppose to the US.\n\n(I live in that border)

Where are they gonna go????? 30 million new homeless people???? This isn't what elis island stood for. This isint peaceful immigration into a nation its savage invasion. I'm all for migration, but legally. My heart goes out for people wanting to seek out a better life, but the homelessness in the US is unimaginable as it is. Mexico must do better by its people. This is really sad.

I'm going to start with my bedroom wall. And work my way up the ladder. I say no to all walls. Even the ones in swimming pools. I say if your a red blooded patriotic American you need to start planning a trip to the border to tear down that exist racist wall that is keeping those south Americans, Chinese, Russian, and Romanian refugees from coming here with ease. The cartel may not be happy with this but we need to make sure that every person from any country no matter what the situation can freely cross any border at any time. It only makes sense.

Ive been working my ass off to pay for my documents for legality, paid taxes yearly and just comply to whatever is needed for immigration. Now im a US citizen. And this people just think they can just walked in without legal papers pisses me off. Come on people we all have different struggles in life, but we have to do the right thing! Even if youre inside the US you cannot have a decent job and no company is gonna accept you if you dont have legal papers. Therefore you cannot open a bank account and you cannot build your credit and get a place to stay. Theres too many homeless here already. Just do the right thing! The govt cannot save you all.

Why? They are fleeing oppression and want a democratic life in the USA. Send them to Idaho. We need hard-working people.

This is really tragic, but it doesn't seem like anyone is asking what can be done in Mexico, or Venezuela or Guatemala, or wherever, to help create an environment where people can be safe and have real economic opportunity there? This is not good. There is a reason these people are risking life and limb to flee their home countries trying to come to the US.

These people need to have a civil war in their own countries to free themselves from tyrants just like Americans did. Stop thinking that coming to this country will give you a better life. Start thinking, We need to sacrifice for our children and generations after us in our own country. It’s simple and it works. Many people need to sacrifice themselves to better their families. It’s a shame not many are willing to accept it and actually do it.

We see this because American media and politics constantly show the world a false narrative that they can just walk right into a better life bypassing millions of people waiting patiently on a list.

Most Venezuelans would rather risk limb and life to get into the US because if they stayed in Mexico they'd have to work for a living, instead of just sucking the government. Most. Some of them stay here, and do the effort.

Most of these Venezuelans don't even have idea how capitalist job market works. They watched too many movies thinking that will be their life. \nThese uneducated people will rot on the streets as homeless, lose custody of their children or become habitual criminals. If even Mexicans struggle despite being used to a competitive market imagine these people.

i do tend ta agree but, you cant blame people for wanting a better life. this country is so much better than where they were. i think instead of forcing their way into here or there, they should take over their corrupt governments and if they cant, maybe we should take them over?
