Good. Less immigration is what all Canadians want. I’m the child of immigrants I believe immigration is a good thing. But not the way it has been completely ruined by this government. Our country is flooded with low skilled immigrants. In addition the mass immigration and rapid demographic change is not incentivizing immigrants to adapt to Canada. ( eg see any corner in any town in Ontario and see how much of the immigrants speak English). If eveything is Canadian then nothing is. I want our culture not to be dissolved into nothingness.

Americans want legal ways to citizenship to be improved but we cannot accept mass, unregulated immigration. It is not sustainable. Both parties can agree on that but we can’t agree on how to fix it. The issue is that there are too many people coming and it’s overwhelming our system. It’s sad to see people upset but we have to put our own country’s interests first.

There’s more pride and nationalism projected in this video than real facts. Why do Indians need visas? It’s very simple: Most Indians are more likely to figure out a way to stay abroad once they touchdown abroad. \n\nAmericans, Canadians, Europeans, etc, don’t need visas wherever they go because most of them always return to their countries eventually no matter where they visit and how long they’re away. \n\nCitizens who don’t need visas wherever they go hardly ever leave their own countries for another. It’s really very simple. Just look at Singapore, Switzerland, etc. How often do you see their citizens leave such countries for another? Almost never. That’s why.\n\nIt sounds like she’s trying to make an argument that this rule shouldn’t apply to Indians because India’s economy is powerful. You need to convince this fact to the Indians who are leaving India, because if you can’t even sell this point to those Indians leaving India, then you don’t even have a case.

The problem with the way things have become here is that now people that have immigrated legally to Canada and are citizens are now becoming targets of hate and violence. I agree that once the visa is expired people need to go and honor what they signed for. We are also punishing those people who have done nothing wrong. This is really scary to see in our country. Hold government accountable for what they have done and ourselves accountable for who we elect and how we treat other human beings. We are all humans no matter skin color or where we are born so be kind to each other. Yes they need to follow the rules we have but we also need not be hate filled and violent, that is not what a Canadian is.

We can see the behaviour of our own people inside our country which they take with them when they travel outside. Total disregard of other people and their culture and way of life. I agree with some of the rejections due to improper behaviour.

I’m not Indian National however I feel proud that this nation has build ‘herself’ as the 5th largest global economy and if some of the following ways are adapted by Indian Gov, the Indian passport will be saluted.\n1) Make your currency strong as in Raja Ranjeet Singh’s time 1 Indian puree was ten (£10) British Pounds, today it’s 100 Rupee to £1.\n2) Need to hold educational tests for everyone going abroad with a minimum level of English language.\n3) Emphasis on etiquettes and local Knowledge of the country where the traveller wants to visit.\n4) Stop all of illegal immigration via people smuggling agents as this gives a bad name to the country.\n5) Set a minimum benchmark amount of funds required before applying for an overseas visa.\n6) Make it mandatory for all travellers to have a full fare return ticket (12 months validity) on them at all times to show strong ties to return back home after trip.\n7) Create strong religious tolerance and harmony within the country so the world can see no religious discrimination being reported on international media worldwide.\n8) The Indian embassies all around the world should be aware and weary of each Indian national traveling abroad in real time so they f any help is require they can assist 24/7 without failure.\nThese are some of my points and opinions for a better India.\nI hope the people who read above will not be offended by any of my opinions as this is not my intention and I am well wisher and want to see this nation thrive, always.\nGood luck and all the best…

Tell the truth to your Indian community the reason India is losing its passport acceptance because they have lied to developed countries. When any tourist go to Sri Lanka after touring India, he or she realises how chaotic and filthy most Indian cities are. Other than inside metro trains, Indian roads are just filth dumps. Shocking to see the state of cleanliness of tourist attractions like Mthaura, Vrindavan etc etc. On top immigration officials in India seem to think they are doing a favor for the tourists who are coming to spend dollars and know their country!! There's complete sense of apathy and misplaced over confidence! Countries around India, like Sri Lanka, Nepal are way much better in cleanliness and other behavioural aspects !!

Canadians born here are last now. And gaslit and shamed into thinking otherwise is racist. Our kind culture has been seen as weakness and is now being proven as weakness. You can't be in complete denial about the visa scams/forged documents.\n\nI regularly travel around the world for my business, witnessed way too much than I can handle. \nAll their antics start from boarding the plane itself, there on, they go full-on hysterical.. from being excessively loud on the plane to air hostesses begging them to put their cabin baggages back in before landing.., Carry that same unruly, cringe-worthy behaviour in that foreign land, all throughout seamlessly. \n And then when being called out, they're very quick to complain about being prejudiced/racism.\nWow, it's such a delight!!!

Yeah I'm Canadian with a lot of health issues yeah you don't have to pay but sometimes the wait can be long like 21 hours at the emergency + the time to see the er doc and if you need tests that would make it longer. Just recently my waiting time was 16 hours. I live in Ontario and we get a lot of Quebec people because their waiting time can be way much longer.

its because they are racist... imagine US, UK, etc grants no visa on their former enemies (like Japan) but demands for visa entry for their former colonies? you cant deny that these former imperialists sees former colonized countries as lint and does not contribute to their economy.... they stole billions of dollars in the past and at they could've grant visa free entry to their former colonies as a way of compensation to the damages that they've made in the past but they didnt.. and when war broke up, they'll ask from these former colonized countries for some soldier to be on the frontline for them because they were allies.. until now they still do some exploits to colonized counties in some other way like establishing manufacturing plant or some establishment hiring cheap labor from these countries, and when you want to visit to these counties they will automatically deny you.. On some point, China gives a better option. They will welcome you with open arms (although they will take advantage of you) but at least you can visit their country easily.

I worked as a nurse in Florida when I first graduated. It was devastating to see how stressed people were about being hospitalized because they knew how their life finances were going to be wiped out. In Contrast Canadian patients only need to concentrate on being well again. \nWomens rights are being rapidly eroded in America. Childbirth is covered in Canada,abortions are legal and women get 1 year of paid maternity leave.\nOur children don’t have to participate in active shooter drills because of our tight gun laws. Our taxes are higher but the social networks are covered by these taxes. \nThe Canadian way of life is generally ,slower and ,I find, more accepting of immigrants, LGBTQ folks, and marginalized people.\nPersonally I moved back to Canada because I missed the change of seasons and the slower pace. The medical system is a nightmare. Our citizens are dying because of wait times to see doctors and specialists. Trump is helping solve CANADIAN problems and BEFORE he even takes power, officially. That is incredible. \n\n\nNow we just have to pray that he doesn’t actually increase those tariffs, and it is very likely that he will. Trump has been very consistent over the years about wanting higher tariffs with all of his trading partners. Getting control over our borders and preventing terrorists from entering the country will help reduce them but not all the way I don’t think. \n\nWe’ll see if that prediction is correct.

Simple really, in Maslow's hierarchy of needs a person who doesn't have security in their basic needs of food, shelter, and safety can't get beyond that point up the ladder to self actualization considering other aspects of fulfillment, if you and your fellow countrymen are suffering and can't secure necessities for even basic survival like housing then seeing others come in is a threat to what little resources are available and therefore a threat to you regardless of where they are from, threats are reacted to with anger as a survival mechanism often subconsciously and is a normal human response, it's not hatred towards immigrants it's justified anger, frustration, and fear about you and your family being out on the streets and of course it's also universally unfair and unjust to those who were already part of the country and have paid into it, competition for resources in other words, I'm not Canadian but it works the same way no matter where you are

Meaning, to most of us , excepting the most left leaning socially progressive pockets and contexts , which even then wouldn’t be viewed that way to us just acceptable lol ?\n\nOur baseline/political middle in Canada is A LOT more left leaning than the baseline normal/political middle in the states. So while people tend to equate your democrats to our liberals or our NDP , and equate your republicans to our conservatives. It’s just not accurate. If you throw our span of parties and American span of parties on the SAME spectrum /polarity line. You might be surprised to realize how shifted left our systems range politically is from the American one. \n\nThis hugely impacts the average normal expectation , what we clutch our pearls at hearing coming out of the mouths of the general public , and our range of what we expect to not hear or see ranted about unless they’re to our view , extremely right leaning politically /social values. \n\nFor us this means that actually genuinely , a lot of America does get experiences by us as bat shit crazy racist homophobic immigrant intolerant culturally and religiously ignorant , and somewhat backwards in larger or smaller amounts ? I know that’s not fun to hear but. Being the most diverse country based so much on immigration means. My parents were both born in the states and my older brother was born there but they moved up here when he was a baby. So nearly all my extended family lives down there and I’m a duelly. And my experiences discussing things with my cousins or visiting absolutely could be described as culture shock at times. The insane things that came out of my own cousins mouths when they hear our friends or partners of various cultures , our not understanding how big a deal and incredibly insulting apparently it is to have assumed someone American was lgbt lol the list goes on. I’m an international student, from my perspective it seems like the government can’t keep themselves from messing with the economy, basically crippling it by regulations, making the market unable to take advantage of the increased labor supply.\n\nI have spent almost half a million in Canada, which includes tuition, living cost, and starting a business which now employs two Canadians. But because I spent one term as a part time student, I have became ineligible for PGWP, which means I have no way of staying in Canada through my own agencies.\n\nThat is a slap in the face for immigrants whove come here to settle, the fact that I have positively contributed to the Canadian economy than many Canadians ever have, while withdrawing absolutely zero from public benefits, now if I buy a house here yall will drop on me a 50%+ capital gains tax and then kick me out, why would anyone want to invest in Canada? I’m seriously considering just moving to Florida because of all these. \n\nWhat happened to the good old days when you can come here with nothing, integrate into the community, and then become Canadians? Almost none of the forefathers of Canadians had to contribute this much into the society first to become Canadians, they stayed because their peers wanted them to stay, and the market was free to adjust to the labor supply and housing demand without government interference.\n\nWhat I see is not an immigration problem, it’s a big government problem, Canadians have become addicted to the government making decisions for them. Alberta has cowboys, BC has sailors, Saskatchewan has wheat and Manitoba has the Guess Who and mosquitos. Ontario is just arrogant, Quebec is just Quebec. There is NOTHING Canadian about Quebec. If they had it their way they would have been independent since the 1750s. They don't even like to speak English. They do it out of obligation to the federation. \nThe Maritimes are again, unique unto themselves. They could easily be an independent nation and then their true culture would shine. Why they practically speak a different language. They have been here longer than any of us and are in fact the most unique culture in all of Canada with the exception of one very important factor:\nThe First Nations of Canada. Their culture is as different from 'European' as Indian is from Chinese or Russian and Korean. \nAnd they have been here for thousands of years. The problem is neoliberalism and capitalism. The 2 main political parties are hand in glove with neoliberalism and capitalism. They won't fix anything because they are in bed with corporations and the wealthiest. We need strong unions and way stronger rights for workers. The real reasons for low productivity? 2 weeks of vacation, no sick days, low wage economy etc etc. People are stressed, exhausted and they see work no longer pays. Even those on 60k a year. A couple of weeks ago 3 days before I am due for my first vacation in 8 years, I broke a tooth and tried to see a dentist, no appointments for 4 months. A week later, I am waiting to check into my hotel in Bangkok when I decided to break, and I went to the dentist had some X-rays taken, and 2 teeth pulled out took which less than an hour and cost $104.76. Do you see how the system can fail in many different ways?

Stop panicking: there’s a residential bubble because housing has some catching up to do, corporations gouged prices using propaganda to blame the government. Canada has gone through so much worse in the past, it doesn’t compare. You should understand what the pandemic has done and understand that getting back to normal doesn’t happen overnight. Just check that Canada has been ranked 3rd best country in the world after Switzerland and the US. We know that President Biden’s outstanding performance has pushed the US to that 2nd rank but let’s see how quickly it will go down under Trump. \nThe way to stop price gouging is to stop buying overpriced items, that’s all.

Came here 2.5 years ago and been working from my second week here onwards. As a European, I have seen how the different urbanistic priorities here make everyday life simply noisy, smelly and encourage a non healthy way of life. And whilst I believe that everyone should be respected, I also think that this respect should stop when respecting an old suburbanite means throwing away city's financial wellness and viability. \nHowever seeing how my colleagues, even the young ones, want to preserve that way of life, qualifying it as Free, discouraged me, and makes me want to invest in a future elsewhere.... Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. Express Entry also selects only the top people, I saw the head of The Institute for Canadian Citizenship in interviews talking about those top-tier people only expect the best treatment/lifestyle when they come to Canada. That's why many of them leave after seeing these Canadian problems play out. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I lived in Montreal for two months to improve my French and I was told by my homestay family that I was the first student they had who didn’t complain about the cold (I wish the winter never ends so I can skate or xc ski in the parks year-round). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. If only there was a way for the system to allow people who really care about Canada to get a shot at being part of this beautiful country.\n\nThank you for making these videos.
