Oh, hell no! I love visiting my American friends and family, but Canada is a much safer environment. It never feels safe when there are people who walk around with guns. Also, I have a health issue that would bankrupt us. California or Hawaiian Weather would be amazing, but I live in Victoria, we do okay weather wise.

Am Indian but still I have to say people of India if u want to live wth ur culture thn stay in ur country itself dont try forcing the dirty side of our culture to a country who where living peacfully until we arrived.. stay there only if u can adapt to their ways.. other wise LEAVE.. people like em r spoiling the credibility of well mannered Indian people..

Correction: Vancouver, while facing extreme difficulties due to a lack of affordable high-density housing, is doing a LOT to try and fix this in comparison to other cities in the infrastructure sector. Just over the last couple years, we've had some pretty extreme zoning policy changes, we have a yearly rent increase cap (which backfires once tenants move out, but that's another story) and we're building new transit infrastructure which now, legally, requires only high-density housing build in the surrounding areas. \n\nThe population growth here has wildly exceeded the amount of housing growth in the last few decades. Not to mention the insufficient wages, high cost of living and a broken healthcare system. Our people are struggling but if you have to live in a city right now, I'd choose the greater Vancouver area. Down the road, I see us improving the most infrastructure-wise out of any Canadian city, which will hopefully benefit social sectors as well.

I think maybe the Canadian government is very reckless when it comes to managing crime in Canada. The government labels all Canadians as criminals and so denies most Canadians an education, a job, housing, the ability to travel, etc. With this attitude towards Canadians, it becomes very hard to advance career-wise in Canada. So Canada imports most of its educated people from abroad. This just demoralizes Canadians and investors and makes everyone think Canada is a hostile place to do business. Please don't misunderstand me, I am in favour of stopping criminals in Canada but why are women under 16 years of age profited from getting married? Why can't foreign educated Canadians get a job here in Canada? You get my point. Wholeheartedely agree with the content creator. We all see the measurable deprecation in our quality of life in almost all measurable areas. \nThe only burning question for me is whether we have already passed the point of no return and no matter what government is elected in future (regardless of party), will ever be able to revert the massive damage done over the last nine years to the country. If the damage cannot be reversed I would imagine that our brightest folks will simply leave the country. Seems to me we are already seeing that.\nRegardless of whether we are too far gone, I hope we carefully choose wisely next election. depends your in what province...im Bc recently moved from Kenya. its very expensive to live here but if you choose not to live a precious life you going to be better. when you want to come to Canada don't use agents, they will drain your cash and when you get here your broke. if you work in Canada wisely you'll own a property.\nhere we've high tax...we are charged tax in everything its getting harder to live here, if you don't have proper preppers and somewhere to stay. \nlife is good here depends with who your engaging with, and lots jobs are here.\n in General Canada needs people who brings value that matches the economy. any skill if in use wisely pays.

TLDR; I am an person from a wartorn, oppressive country, and I unfortunately do not have many options to choose from other than Canada to have a chance for a better life.\n\nLet me tell you from the perspective of a person whose dream is to come to Canada: I know all this already, I know things are going terribly and the cost of living has gone up significantly. But the unfortunate thing is, the country I am from, is currently in turmoil. I do not fit in there as a person and hate the culture. Its incredibly corrupt with no growth. I am more western, and open minded, and my original country is a strict Islamic country. I do not fit there at all.\n\nI know Canada has all these problems, but its my only choice for a better future, I dont want to go to US because I dont wanna die, also, EU wont accept me unless I am from EU myself or speak their language which is a catch 22. Australia is also becoming a shithole. That leaves Canada and NZ. NZ doesnt have that good of job prospects and limited scope and I love Canada, always have. The weather and everything that comes with it.\n\nYes its not perfect, but I think its more about knowing that I can go back to a place, that is not dangerous for me and my future family, where I will get good care if I am stable job wise. Once I am in Canada, I will probably buy my own land and use that to have a trailer home there since they are still cheap, save my money, and probably retire in Philippines. \n\nI dont believe everyone else should do that and yes I know trailer's costs depreciates with time, unlike a house, but I dont care about that. I dont think of houses as investment and I never will nor I will participate in that practice. Everyone has a right for home.

They eat the same food as we do and are given all the facilities that we use in including going out to restaurants and other places such as the Zoo or fun parks\nI have lived both in Canada and now in USA and can say without hesitation that the Western way of life is much more human\nThese countries have a much higher level of tolerance for foreigners \nAlso, career wise both countries have given us amazing opportunities \n\nYes we do miss the social life of India, but in big cities of the West that loneliness gap is beginning to shrink as well\n\nLastly we Indians live a life of dual values. Ghar ke andar kuch aur ghar ke baahar kuch- this is not the case with Canadians/Americans.

Lucky you , you have the means to get out & adventure. Canada isn’t that bad compare to other poor countries. However, everything you said are very true. Rules Rules & Rules , tax after tax after tax that’s why health care isn’t really free. And you forgot one important thing, tho you’re successful during your prime age career wise, when you’re 65 & retired, ( without Private Pension ) government pension isn’t enough even to rent a decent bachelor apartment of your own. I agree with what was stated in this.\n\nI would be interested in hearing how Canadian students compare to international students grade wise.\n\n There's a disturbing trend of expectations on Canadian standards being lowered and lowered, teachers being unable to fail students, and covid made it so much worse. Reading levels for middle school have been adjusted to be that of fifth grade or lower.\n\n There are so many students GRADUATING from high school who can't read at a sixth grade level. They haven't seen the inside of a classroom except to socialize with friends. \n\n Why would universities want these students? So their failure or drop out rate can go through the roof? So they can show employment after graduation being low as these students have little to no motivation to work?
