Many Filipino,indian,pakistani engineers, whom I knew, spent many thousand us dollars went to Canada with their families to improve their lives.but, when they arrived in Canada, they worked not as an engineer, but worked in a position below engineers, like skilled workers.so, salary is low,everything expensive. Almost ni savings and you feel racism.so, almost these engineers with their families went back to their native countries.their credentials accepted and worked as engineers with good savings.canadian government and most white Canadians think they are superhuman.so, I never think to go to canada.see the results, many Canadians homeless and the Canadian government doesn't care.if gov cares, where is the program for the homeless ?

From this video. Let me\nClarify something. I has studied from Newzealand and done MBA. As per my experience they don’t interfere in your life. And that’s biggest advantage if you want to grow your children. Cus they need non judgemental environment rather than constant thought of competitive environment they have open minds to think independent cus it’s in their lifestyle (that which you have to do everything by self) it’s good thing for children cus they make them independent enough. If you are complaining cus you have habit of cheap labour here then can’t compare like that. If you want just benefit of their openness then it’s your fault. First of all you don’t create drama about it. If country is not suitable then you come back and don’t complaint cus you are not perfect to judge country. However from india, everyone thinks they know everything and it’s their right to complaint only. They will not do anything if someone is doing corruption or doing wrong in society. While they will directly not tolerate non sensible behaviour. And you will not be habitant for country which is not corrupt like india. So always go abroad with their mindset to live not your mindset of india. ?

I would expect you to move back eventually, many of the things you have listed are worse in other places of the world, and I suspect that you take many things for granted such as peace, stability, healthcare, etc. \nI would still encourage you to go ahead as it could be worth the experience and lessons learned. That is a obvious thing that if you are doing good in your home country then why would you leave it? Why for your children? If you can do good then why cannot your children do good as well. There is something wrong in your home country that is why you fear that your children won't be able to do good their. People now days think after moving to a new country they should be able to live the same way and work at same position within 2-5 years on what position they were working in their home country. Which was never the case before. People who came in 70s,80s,90s it took them close to a decade and for many even more to reach some form of stability and it is the same now. You are starting from scratch when you move to a new place. \nComing here, making a life here, still living here and praising your life back home is not the solution. The solution is if you do not like it here you are have your home country to always go to. Simple.

As a European who lived for 3 years in Canada, I have to say that Canadians - as much as I love them - are very entitled. They live in a bubble and don't realise how good they have it. \n\nTheir country is beautiful, the lifestyle is phenomenal even if you aren't rich. A lot of things they complain about like rising house prices, food costs, and political divide is literally happening everywhere - I'm really not sure why they think only Canada is struggling with this right now. Perhaps because on their strong currency they can go and live like Kings in somewhere like Portugal or Bali, but then they don't realise that they are bringing over the cost of living crisis and making things harder for locals when they do that. \n\nThey want things to be perfect, which isn't something to discourage but they don't realise how much harder life is like in most other countries on the planet. The only ones who appreciated it were the people who had lived for a few years in the UK or Paris or Australia, or somewhere else they imagined that life was easier and then ended up actually miserable and actually struggling - and then soon fly back to Canada. I have to say though I do love the sense of always wanting things to be better, whilst in Europe we tend to accept having less, less options and struggle to the extent that we don't even see it as struggle.

Spot on. Moving to Canada was the worst mistake of my life. I wish that I could go back in time and get all the years and resources that I have invested into settling here... Canada has had a great PR internationally, and Canadians are too polite to complain, so I had to learn it on my own after moving. Good that the truth is finally coming out. I am talking to my friends and family back home and they all say, you are in better condition than us, at least you are earning with dollars. Lol what? I spent with dollars too. It’s not like I earn with dollars and go back and spent with 1:20 ratio. And you are spending 2000$ flight ticket to get there which used to get it for 800$ with promotion. They are like everything is 10x more expensive. Everything is 2x more expensive but when you have high quality lifestyle the feels like is actually a lot more. Mortgage rates went up 5 times more compared to the one in covid times. That impacts who has variable mortgage or the one has fixed concerned about their renewal. That impacts on rentals because most of the owners are paying their mortgages thru these rents. You did a Good comparison on salary vs rent that will help people understand.

100% bang on.. I've lived in Dubai (traveled to many other countries).. this is nowhere near being considered as developed anymore (GDP criteria is outdated)..Canada got developed and they forgot to update and even upgrade..!! The drug situation is so bad that I really hope that you didn't come across crackheads/homeless who are under the influence of drugs at all times.. No doubt there are way more homeless people in India, but they are working or at least trying in some way to make their life better and they never hurt you at least, here, it's the opposite, as they literally can do anything.. you can find them roaming all over on the streets of Old Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa.. You can literally find them everywhere.. someone commented earlier that you should give 2 years.. Bro or sis.. it's a complete waste as I am at the same point.. and on top of it when you invested 2 years, it even becomes tougher as it becomes even harder to go back as you have spent so much on furniture, house, car, tools, n all and most importantly - 2 YEARS of life. I left my pregnant wife and have been staying away from her and a 1-and-a-half-year-old baby boy hoping that we'll create a better future and can afford to struggle right now.. its been 2+ years.. Honestly.. I am still not able to figure out whether there is any future or I have spoiled my present looking for a future.. its a dilemma beyond explanation in words, with no relatives or anyone based here.. I've a lot at stake currently and that's the only reason I am stuck otherwise leaving this place seems to be inevitable.. \n\nI travel extensively all throughout and forget about expressways anywhere in Canada (Except 407 which has an insane toll rate) it's a 4-lane highway just 80 km from Toronto to the rest of 450+ kms to Montreal which are 2 major cities of this so-called developed country.. same is for Ottawa, the same hold true from Calgary to Edmonton, and any other major town/city!! on top of it, they are struggling to even maintain those (always under construction - even construction is a wrong word to use as they aren't adding anything new.... it is just being repaired in true words) Same is true with adding new infra in terms of hospitals or any other facility... Banking sucks.. Still dealing through the mail (Postal mail).. (Mails not e-mails). I simply can't get that.. the tax agency - CRA sends communications through the mail, and the same with any other agency.. Comon.. grow up is what I feel at times..!! People are literally not willing to work (Except hard-working immigrants), Govt. doesn't have any plans for the future regarding the economy and development... just bringing in immigrants.. that's it..\n\nYou've made a very smart decision and really at a very good time.. wish you, and your family all the best..!!

what has been shared in this video is nothing that people are not aware of. Everybody knows that you have to do all the work yourself,no maids, cooks, etc. like India.These facts have been there for years, nothing new about them. If people want to got there for further education, it is different, but then Canada is not all that good as far as higher education is concerned, there are better countries to choose from with better weather conditions and better lifestyle and high class education. Who would want to live in a cold and inhospitable country, payig through your nose. Here in India, if we fall sick even with just cough / cold, we can go to the nearest doctor and get medicines, sometimes we can even just ask the pharmaists to help us to choose some medicines for pharmasist here are half doctors.\nEven our standard of living has become so good, that we don't even feel like shifting to a new country. We have metros, good buses both AC as well as non AC, good trains, good resturaunts, hotels, what is it that we don't have here?\nIt is always better living as a first class citizen in our own country, than living like second class citizen elsewhere. The attraction and the charm of living abroad is no longer there.\nOur country has improved so much and so fast in the last 10 years, we have good bathrooms in schools and other public places, which was not there previously. Only drawback in our country is the traffic and infrastructure, which will also become better, but will take time, because of our country's population.\nIn fact you will find servants and watchmen all coming to work in a bikes or scooters, which was unthinkable some years back. Their life has changed for the better, they live in rented flats/or on lease, their children study in good schools and so on, and they dress also so well, that you cannot differentiate between them and the people they work for.\nMany of the so called advanced countries do not have many well educated people like our country, the children there are not as knowledgeabe like Indian kids, their knowledge is limited to the town they live in, they don't know anything about the world outside.\nAnd now with the Khalistani terrorist living freely there it is all the more dangerous. Europe is a scam first you come and you need to learn the language which already you started in your country then working and working and your salary can just pay your bills and if you are lucky you have some money to go for a cheap vacation ... after that if you want to move to another country in Europe it is the same like to move to the US ... the schengen area is good only for citizens of Europe that is all any reisdent is not allowed to work anywhere else iit is like a prison to use you and then throw you back to your home country when your visa is canceled .... they have many rules many laws many bureaucracy it is a nightmare i hope i move out to canada very soon and i will never comeback to Europe even for a holiday !

I know a lot from working all over canada and they come for the free money and health care and school, as soon at they are legal canadians every single one I know/knew left because they don't want to pay the high tax and cost of living, 1 guy I was friends with for a year showed me what he got to come here and it was = to 10 years pay for me at that time. Then he sold the house and cars and left after his temp visa expired, I know of people in AB and on the east coast working here and living 5 and 6 guys in a 3 bedroom and they send every cent back to their own country so they can buy land and housing, For them it's a great get rich quick plan, The one guy I knew for a year offered to pay to have my car fixed and I said no but he insisted it was free on his free tax payer supplied credit cards, If I was not from here and they offered me all this money and stuff Id be here doing the same thing, 5 years here makes you rich when you go home. 2 bedroom condo in Mexico is $85g so if I offered you a good job that will get you a house paid off and lifetime of saving in just 5 years but you have to live in another country would you do it. 100% I would Im looking at my adult kids who will never own a home if they stay here vs the people coming over for 5 years then their set, All my kids are planning to move to a new country for this very reason they are saving and then getting out when the depression hits.

Good, maybe we can now focus on the ones who live here, go back to our roots, get people working again We got ourselves in this mess of immigration and all it did was cause headaches for our country. Homelessness is a big problem, social handouts, and hospitals that can't keep up. We're not the only country with this issue even the US is feeling the squeeze too. So let's stop it and get to work!

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. Taxes are high definitely and what I feel is you’re working to make someone else’s life easier. \n(P.S: people who’ve stayed in Canada will understand who I’m implying to)\nNo one wants to be your freind, scope of socializing is zero coz mostly it’s cold round the year so everyone hardly come out, especially in Northern provinces like Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.\nHealthcare is a joke. If you feel sick and not well and you wanna see a doctor be prepared to wait for hours and hours. I once had stomach infection and I had to wait 5 hours till someone could see me. I asked for painkiller at-least so I could bear the pain but they refused that as well. You might well see someone you love dearly and with whole heart die in-front of you and you could do nothing. (I’ve experienced it myself hence saying)\nYou’re a lone survivor who’ll always keep fighting. \nThe only person who can make money here is businesses and high paid jobs which are reserved to Canadians. That’s how Canada’s job market is. Canadians’ first and if there’s something left they’ll look at you. By the amount of money people invest here they can establish a nice business back in their country itself and earn accordingly on own terms. \nMost importantly you’ll cut yourself from all emotional supports like family, freinds etc.\nI was social person back in India who liked making new freinds and memories but it’s nothing like that here. \nAnd it’s the same life, no different.\nYou wake up, dress, eat, go to work, come back, eat, sleep. No different.\nNo fun and nothing. You actually don’t live in present, you live in an expectation of a better tommorow.\nYou’ll always have a smile when you greet someone but I guarantee you no one’s gonna check on you to if you don’t start a conversation even with a simple “Hi”. Mostly Canadians are nice but again some will systematically judge you and say nothing but you’ll see in their actions, the way they’ll talk in a twisted way etc.\nYes I’m not saying that Canada’s bad or it’s no good but trust me it will take forever to build a life here especially with the number of people moving here from round the world. \nIf you’re well off financially from back home Canada’s a paradise for you. Indeed it’s a beautiful country with lots of beauty and lots to explore but remember everything comes with a cost here. Everything comes with a cost. People need to stop believing in this fake illusion and come only if they got a purpose here. The only reason why they’ll let you in the country is for money and once you’re in you’ll have to keep spending, doesn’t matter if you’re broke or whatever you have to.\nOnce I earn I’ll happily give up my PR status and go back to India as i very well know what the situation is how it’s gonna be in future.\nSo just one piece of advise to every middle class person like me, guys please invest and spend your money wisely coz we know how hard it is to earn and it’s high time Canadians start appreciating what immigrants like us do for them by burning ourselves day and night and start realizing that their past generation once came from some other part of the world as well and settled here. I think this is a good thing, too many over too short a period of time has left our health care system in tatters and the housing market exploding so ordinary Canadians are suffering. Go back and work in your own country.

This is good and honest review. You did not succeed because you did not go with that mindset. In my case, I was working in India as a Class I gazetted officer with Govt of India. When I got PR, I resigned from the job, just because I knew there is struggle in Canada. If I have an option, I would have definitely gone back. My Dad and my father-in-law, both Govt officers at that time, were upset with me for resigning. They were OK with me going to Canada, but did not like the idea of leaving such a good job. I did struggle initially and did survival jobs, like working in factories etc, but I DO NOT regret my decision at all. But again, it is individual's choice what is their goal. Mine was to give my kids world's perspective. Now they are free to go anywhere in the world, including India. My elder one 26 and younger one 22, have visited so many countries without taking a single penny from me. Back about 15 years ago I was down in Indiana on Ohio. In the people I met in the Midwest states. Great people laid back hard workers. America might have its problems, but so does Canada. Lot of similarities between both countries. And as for Canada's free health care. It's not so good right now. People are having hard time finding doctors. People wait hours to get into appointments. The only thing nice about free healthcare. Is it's free for some people and relatively affordable for other people. But it's not the best healthcare in the world. Like people said, least in America, you can go in and see a doctor and you're in and out pretty quick. But if you don't have free health care yet pay for it

It is exactly same with me. I am from Pakistan and my son and daughter live in Sydney Australia. My son insists us to come and live with them. nowadays i am in Sydney but i will Inshallah go back to Pakistan. Its good to come and stay for sometime, but not permanently.

I can't talk from a point of experience in Canada but from a point of experience in Kenya. Yes things are tough everywhere but I believe things are tuffer here in Kenya, well unless you have a good job, good business or money to invest. I have done of research about Canada, Germany, UK and even Finland. What I have learnt is that opportunities are there as opposed to Kenya. Here in Kenya it's doesn't matter if you have a skill, or papers getting a job is not easy and even harder is getting a good paying job. Most people makes less 10 CAdollars per day which today 1000 or 30 per month minimum wage in Canada is i guess 14.5 in the less expensive provinces. If you work 14 hours per \nDay which I believe possible you have about uko na 20k in ksh, pay tax of maybe 30% combined you have about 130 cad per day work for 25 days in a month you will have about 3250 net stay in most affordable place(hujaenda raha) you can get 1250 in low cost province (not Ontario or BC though here minimum wage iko juu), groceries and expenses budget 1000 per month you can save about 100k ksh pm, save in Cad for few years stay like a student on the budget but work like a donkey. Come back home in few years lets say 5 with save coins probably CAD will trading at 150 coz the hit shilling is taking mind-blowing. You will have 6m to invest any interest or forex gain use them to cover your vacation here in Kenya yes land in Diani you will have missed such weather, enda masai Mara (you deserve it), go visit your parents and most importantly find an investment opportunity you can do real estate but find ideal location but only if you have enough capital ya kujenga and then find someone professional to manage the construction not sending money to your relatives wanapiga sherehe nazo unatumiwa picha za mjengo za nyumba za wenyewe. Thank goodness I chose the United States for my education. In 2010, I had two options -Texas A&M University and University of Waterloo. I thought of Waterloo at first (being top university in Canada vs 15th in US) as I was naive, but Texas A&M gave me teaching assistantship which meant 100 % tuition scholar and monthly stipend. Being from a lower middle class family in India, I took the option. \nEven 13 years down the line, that was the best decision of my life. I had chance to work with best researchers and professors in world, work in highly funded research labs, publish papers and patent and later get good job in my domain. \nI never aimed for green card and moved back to India. I applied for Canada and even received ITA but didn't go ahead. Things are not perfect but even today in India, most people are impressed by some niche work I did in US.

Well, I immigrated to Toronto from Ukraine 27 years ago, and it was a good decision at that time. Learning English definitely makes more sense and easier than switching to a rural Ukrainian dialect, which sounds to me like a mockery of Russian. However, today Moscow looks definitely better. There are also plenty of immigrants from former Soviet Asian republics but no trace of homeless, drug-addicted and mentally sick people, very clean and well-maintained city. Just see some of Alina's videos from Russia. For me, the only problem is the cold climate. Toronto is way more southern, and I became too old to change my life. Perhaps when I retire I will go back to the former Ukraine if my Crimea will be a safe part of Russia by that time.

It’s not only refugees in the streets…During summer most homeless people choose to sleep in the parks coz the weather is good and then as the weather changes they go back to the shelters..\nThere has been a lot of refugees coming to the country..now imaging adding those number of refugees plus the homeless people trying to go back to shelters..it became overwhelming \nBut this is all part of an ecosystem..\nIt starts with the lack of housing in the city..there are more people than the city can hold..\nThis leads to the people who are in shelters not being able to move to their own apartments (which the government helps them pay for) and if they don’t move out they can’t be able to create space for the homeless to move into shelters.\n2. However since that second TikTok was shot (the one with the mayor talking). The government has released an additional $210 million to help with housing refugees and therefore I think the situation is getting better now

There are a lot of people that come here with a promise of a better life and the notion is that it’s instant. I want to confirm to you that it’s better life, but it’s not instant. You have to put in the work and prove your worth. You have to gain Canadian experience to get a decent job. Also be ready to go back to school and upgrade your skills. There are jobs here zinaitwa Trades. These are the jobs that we don’t value at home but pay amazingly well here. Construction, Electricians, Plumbers, Mechanics, Carpentry, Welding, Hairdressers, Tailors.. Those are very valued skills here- if you can invest in learning these trades but pia ukikuja hapa you have to convert your certs to Canadian ones by doing an exam or going back to school . If you are into office jobs, make sure you have market relevant skills that align to this country. Be ready to embrace the digital revolution and mpende hesabu. Accounting is very much valued here. The secret is be ready to start from the bottom, be ready to upgrade yourself, be ready to work like you’ve never worked before… You will make it eventually .. Mungu mbele! \nI am confirming that we are going through a recession here and as per the market trends, it’s only going to get worser until we get to a point of stabilization. The housing market is crazy, food costs and gas (fuel)costs are off the roof .. it’s not easy. So if you have a good job in Kenya, hold onto it for now until things get better ( due diligence /research) .. Make sure you have the right visa that allows you to work here. The problem is not Canada , Canada is a very good county which I love and I am gland God gave me the Opportunity to Come and settle here with my family.. The problem with some people coming here is lacking of knowledge how Canada works .It’s system is very far from how things work in Dubai or Gulf countries. A lot people are thinking than you can just come and get any job even without proper papers or you can earn a lot of money and then build wealth quickly. Which is A BIG FAT LIE. The tax in Canada keeps you humble. That is how Canada funds it's high end life many admire and want to be part of. The more you work in Canada the more tax you pay and many don't know this, and it is one of the main reasons why a lot of people start to regrets, because they realize there effort of working hard is not paying as they hoped. Another thing in Canada is next to impossible to get jobs or rent a place without proper paper work, like work permit, It is not like USA where you can use someone else papers to work. the The main available jobs , easy to get , don’t pay much. And also the cost of living is very high in some provinces like Ontario and BC. They hardly recognize credentials from outside unless you came through a job offer. Also because a lot of things in Canada are paid by the government through taxes, like health care, education. Unless you are tax paper with (and I repeat) Paper work, you cant access the benefit, including thee free food available for the needy. \nMany people forget Canada is looking for people to work for them. Not to grow rich and leave. The system is meant to keep you working. Unless you understand how a system of a country works, one will continue to blame it. Let people get well informed and well educated first , before they jump in the river. And it’s not Canada a lone , but any country in the world. The most jobs advertised in Canada are the lower end paying jobs, which a lot of people pay a lot of money to come for, just to realize the job they left behind was far much better than this, but no one told them that, just because it said $18 hrs and you converted it to your country and looked a lot, doesnt mean it carries the same wait once you earn in from here. The living expense are very different. The reality is, it is not where you are , but whom you are and determination knows no barrier. Anyone who will trust God for help, work hard/smart and be patience in life, they will make. It might take longer than they expect, but they will get their eventually.

Hello Dear; My fellow Kenyans do research and read a lot about the Laws and policies of that country before you make a step or move; Outside here; No short cart I am in one country in Europe I did my application for self-employment/ work permit/residence permit\nThen I was told to wait for 7 months - to 1 year for my application to be terminated not in Kenyan but in this county I am currently; After waiting for 1 year, I received an email from the embassy that my application was approved to apply again for a VISA to come and collect my ID = Now am legally in Europe I can move anywhere without fear and also can do any business in Schengen Area, I can go to Kenya anytime I want and come back anytime I want, This country is very rich and productive, peaceful, Clean, life affordable government regulates everything, the population is 8.9+, and the services are top class and are among the top in Europe map, however, you shall never here them shouting. Is about being wise and doing due diligence.. as well as calculating and taking your time. Good things don't come when you rush.

I have lived in Canada since 2000. My dream is to go back to Kenya and live there. We lived in Toronto for ten years and it wasn't easy for our parents to make ends meet. I moved to Alberta in 2011 and I am so happy that I moved here when I did. We live well. My husband and I are into trades and we thank God for taking good care of our family. It is getting harder here since Trudeau became the prime minister. Food, gas, clothes. housing everything has gone up and you need a good job and have legit papers. Same here in Montreal used to love this city still do but post C19 everything changed like everywhere housing crisis, politics, the cultural center it user to be changed maybe its just looking at it now at the start of my 30s compared to when i moved here from Europe and Central Africa at the start of my 20s. Met friends i have for life, got great professional opportunities lived in nice places great food in the city. Now everything is just super expensive now and i know toronto is must be ever crazier. Im considering moving back to France or Switzerland to be closer to my family and friends and also be close to Gabon easier to visit than here constantly taking 4 plains round trip everytime i go back home. After losing my father last year getting divorced 3 years ago i think my time here is done. 14yrs here i became an adult here had amazing experiences, became a canadian citizen but its just not the same anymore. Time for a new adventure somewhere else. We used to live well even back as a student on minimum wage, now with a better career good salary we’re struggling. Breaks my heart seeing this all over canada.

I landed in Toronto in 1984, it was clean, safe and affordable. I was able to support myself going to university in the early 90’s working part-time as a waitress. Tuition was much cheaper back then and of top of that I was able to get a grant from the government (which was scrapped I believe). I used to walk down Yonge Street late at night with friends until we reached College Street to go have breakfast at the Golden Griddle on Carton Street. I miss the Maple Leaf Gardens and the CNE Grandstand. There were no shootings at nightclubs when I went dancing. Then things started getting really bad, the cost of living and the violence skyrocketed so I decided to move to Quebec City at the end of 2014. I worked hard on my French and now I am a civil servant for the Quebec Government. I have no regrets. I am lucky to have known Toronto The Good.
