High taxes, high energy prices, low wages, too much government, crony capitalism, real estate being treated as a speculative investment, too much immigration and nowhere to house them, regulations that deter entrepreneurship, poor health care, refusal to invest in our resource industry, refusal to invest in core infrastructure, declining civil liberties. Lot of these problems have been festering for a while, but things have really gone off a cliff since Trudeau was first elected. Even if you get some wise and saintly philosopher king to replace his corrupt arse, these problems will take years, probably decades to fix. I'm in my late 30s, and basically if I want to get out of this rut, I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and figure out a way to move to the States. I'm getting real tired of grinding my butt working and having nothing to show for it.

big problem with the housing is also trudeau taking in so many immigrants and refugees before having enough available housing for everybody. I think they were taking in 200k people a year. while we need atleast 1million new houses within the next 10 years in order to supply enough to the population. There was also an issue with forieign purchases where people from other countries were buying houses in canada and nobody living in them. Trudeaus votes comes from majority indian people and arabic since thats a lot of the population in canada, and to win those votes and get more hes friendly with them accepting a lot of immigrants from those countries, its not a bad thing since a lot are very well educated and their peaceful people for the most part, but the problem is there isn't enough housing. Even renting has become competitive , owning is near impossible without help. Trudeau really messed up the country, houses are riduclously expensive and they often go into bidding wars if in a good area, banks interest rates keep going up now, loans are harder to take out, sadly we need to limit the amount of immigrants that come into the country until the right number of houses are built in the country, if anything new and major cities need ot be build in other locations with jobs in order to get more people spread out around the provinces. Once there is enough houses and jobs i believe the doors should be open to whomever wishes to come (obviously with a background check) but until then there should be a limit so the houses stop going up.

We have such a porous border in Canada. Problem is Justin Trudeau and his pack of corrupt Liberals want more and more “refuges” not skilled....with an education coming into Canada. You see....people who vote Liberal are morons...the “free stuff” they get from the Liberals are paid for with more and more Liberal taxes. Liberal voters think Justin dips into a trust fund or something...yes Liberal voters are really that stupid....they don’t realize more Liberals mean more wasteful taxes. F CANADA, im in BC canada on disability for life due to immune system problems. past 10 years ive tride getting healthy and started feeling good, i found a good job last summer, making 29$ hr full time! i was very excited and ready to move on in life from the system, 3 months into it, i start doing the math... im losing 22% off each check for taxes twice per month + union dues, + they charging me for cleaning service for my uniform 5$ per check THEN i pay 12% tax on all good i buy.. SO im losing almost 40% of my monthly income after fees and taxes... NOW im working so i need a car to be at work on taime daily.... this is another 15-20% monthly expense.. YEAHHH RIGHT i am not working myself to the bone to work just to be as POOR as i was on Disability. i quit the job as soon as i paid off the car, sold the car now im my own boss again , i have no need for a clock, i sleep until i want, eat when i want, and go where i want 7 days a week. You have to be a total FOOL to work in this country with these amount of fees and taxes, and please dont say taxes are high becuase of the 2% on welfare, take a look at the BILLIONS of dollars your foolish leader Trudeau is giving to Ukriane.

I was born and raised on the east coast of Canada, lived in Vancouver and visited Montréal Edmonton, Calgary with the acception of Winnipeg I’ve seen every major city in Canada. \n\nI will always have pride for my country and love for my family there but it has changed dramatically since 2010.\n \nI will say the transportation in Canadian cities are better and so is the crime and the food but you have to drive a minimum of an hour to get anywhere outside the city, your not leaving that city without a car and good luck surviving without a car outside the city, and VIA rail is way overpriced. The GO train is nice though.\n\nLiving in America it has changed a lot since covid too though people are a lot more desperate and you can feel it but people are too prideful to admit, where in Canada people are struggling and they dress and look terrible and fail to dress nice because there is less prideful.\n\nCanadians are not nice people they are passive aggressive and will not got out of their way to help you most of the time (modern day) kind of like Californians.\nThe east coast Americans are rude and trashy but they will help you if you show respect. There just no fun to be around mostly ? overall North Americans are chauvinistic.\n\nJobs are harder to get in Canada and opportunity isn’t there, but it is very relaxed.\nAmerica is overcrowded and stressful especially for a Canadian.\nMontréal is cheap rent great food, and being personally bilingual I like the French, but there infrastructure is terrible and the people are depressed and disgustingly rude and they have no customer service.\n\nVancouver is overpriced in every way possible, beautiful city, great seafood but it’s not worth the price tag, you would be better of living in a San Francisco, the crime in Richmond and burnaby and new Westminster and hasting street is just as bad as San Francisco’s tenderloin.\n\nToronto is big and fun yet it doesn’t feel Canada at all, it feels like it’s been hijacked by American and foreign companies. It’s beautiful but lots of rats and bad traffic. People are relatively nicer there but it’s still expensive like New York.\nCalgary is very pretty probably my favorite, it’s just cold AF and kinda pricey. Probably perfect for families.\nEdmonton is flat and boring but I like it’s proximity to Calgary ?\nOverall it’s one of the best countries to live in the west but if you like fast paced, opportunity, diversity, traveling and are rich enough for elite education then come to America. Lastly Canada is a democracy so bills can be passed faster but that can also be a bad thing if you have a courrupt gov’t, cough cough trudeau.\nAmerica is a republic so it is harder to pass laws which can suck but it is also harder for people like uncle joe to overreach. Overall in America you are more free but in Canada you are more at peace. \n\nI’ve lived in America for six years and moved here at 20yrs so this is just my experience.

First of all I'm guessing you are in Toronto or Vancouver or Calgary maybe Montreal, The most expensive places in Canada to Live for sure. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. My grandparents immigrated from Italy and Ireland. They never got nice warm Canada Goose jackets, clothes, Nike shoes designer jeans, free English lessons or welfare. They paid there way, bought their land and found work LEGALLY, paid to learn English.\nThey did not steal unemployed Canadians jobs going through Trudeaus let’s hire out of the country so our government funds part of the wage. What we get are lousy heath care workers who barely understand or speak the English language and are caring for our Elderly and mistreating them. This I saw first had. I took my Mother home out of a senior home and cancelled home care as they never showed up on time. Would they leave there parent in a urine soaked brief for 5 hours as that is how late they were. I had to quit my job to take care of her. I myself am disabled with a spinal injure. The worst part of “Home Care workers” is that they wanted me to call in and cancel so they got paid. This statement gave from the Home Care nurse in charge of these immigrants working here. Seven of my friends, who are educated health care workers, which they themselves paid for, not paid my our government. They can’t get a job. The last job I applied for and they ask you status I put that I am a Canadian refugee in my own country. \nPretty sad when on Remembrance Day you have these woke individuals begging for money to help refugees.
