The housing system is a disaster. Rental prices are unaffordable, and landlords can't evict tenants who don't pay. If you don't pay, you should be evicted immediately.

I'm certain nobody will agree with me - but why is part of the problem in the west; people get their reality from the MSM - but if I were you I would go back to Russia. The East is the future; the west is heading straight off a cliff. The only way IMO that you can be reasonably safe from that anywhere in the west is if you are completely self sufficient - and debt free - living MILES from other people - or in a likeminded community - where you are prepared to defend yourself from whats coming. I am in such a situation in NZ and even I am ready to bolt; in my case either to a small south pacific island or maybe Thailand - who are joining BRICS and therefore completely isolated from the impending western economic/social disaster. Being in Russia of course means the whole of Asia is easily open to you as well - but makes sense also because you have a history there. I would love to live in Russia - it is now normal - the people HAVE A SAY in everything - compared to the abnormal west which is now the new Soviet Union. Sad but undenyable - if you face facts.

Born in Canada .. and like many Canadians I saw Canada go from bad to a disaster with no future in 3 short years. It's poor planning. You can never allow population growth to outpace social services, housing, and public infrastructure. It's a recipe for disaster. The government just needs to take a practical look at what the country can and can't support.

No mention of ideologies and religious beliefs that are contradictory to the Canadian love of freedom, equal rights and accepting your neighbour as they are. It works both ways. A lot of illegals from Latin America are also passing thru the U.S. enroute to Canada. Thousands are seeking refugee status upon arrival into Quebec or Ontario. Toronto is already bursting at the seams with tens of thousands of refugees plus new immigrants arriving every year. Add in a lack of affordable housing and jobs, and you have the makings of a disaster just like NYC.

The only solution to this is government should freeze bringing immigrants and pathway for students to become immigrants for few years until Canada overcomes with it's own poverty. Majority of people do not have a standard life in Canada now. Canadian born children have hard time to find jobs and their future is uncertain now. Government is totally responsible for creating this disaster.

We have huge, new populations that hate us, fail to integrate and who bring cultures that are incompatible. This is obviously a disaster. The treachery of the ruling classes that brought this two-tier nightmare upon is is unfathomable.

I am a Economics Major and decided to leave Canada (Toronto) in 2020.\n\nThanks to my education in UoFT, I was able to forecast the macro economic factors and in every permutation combination it was a recipe for disaster. \n\nI sometimes miss Cherry Blossom Spring of the Hyde Park.\n\nBut apart from that, it was a wise decision from my end and never regretted it.\n\nCanada's main issue is not housing crisis but failing to expand opportunities into smaller provinces.

Many Canadians are afraid of speaking of truth due to being labelled as a racist or bigot, when really the facts are right there with mass immigration and the influence of foreign landlords. We’re likely getting a new Prime Minister in Fall 2025, but fixing the disaster caused by Trudeau’s policies will be painful and take a really long time.
