If I could afford to move from the US to Canada I would move. I am so sick of Trump’s destructive behavior. He’s a very insecure and unhappy person and the only way he can deal with it is by making others miserable. He doesn’t need reasons for implementing new tariffs. He does these things to demonstrate his power, because he’s a class A bully. Canadians, stay strong. We’ll see you this summer when we =action in BC. Your country is clean, safe and the people are so nice.

As much as I like the message, I just find this is a waste of time to rationalize or reasoning with the orange clown and his uneducated base, like the clown said himself that he loves his uneducated supporters. Just return the favour. That's it. You can't fix stupid. Canada just needs to find more reliable and trust worthy partners. Say it correctly please, the American PEOPLE are NOT enemies of Canada….President Trump and those who voted for him are enemies of Canada. We also know that the Fentanyl problem has little or nothing to do with Canada and that the majority of Fentanyl is brought into the USA by US citizens. Most American citizens do not want this. So what is this really about? Makes sense that elon wants the metals and minerals for himself and not for competition in e-vehicles manufactured in the US. And of course the minerals deal with Ukraine is all for elon who will be able to build while his competitors pay huge tariffs for the same materials from Canada or tariffs on vehicles from their auto plants in Mexico. I’m a 53 year old Canadian. I went to college on an athletic scholarship & lived there for 10 years after turned professional in my sport. Why, why, why - with all the problems going on in the world right now to tackle - why would you want to start a trade war with your closest trading partner & most loyal ally? Not to mention that your list of Allies is shrinking daily. This is not going to end well for either of us. \nI just arrived home from a trip to the grocery store - making sure nothing in my cart said “ made in the USA” on it due to the new tariffs that began today. \nThe irony is, many of the states where Trump won by the biggest margin, are the states that are going to get hit the hardest from Canadian retaliation tariffs ( Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, the Dakotas - just to name a few). A lot of farmers in those states are going to be hit extremely hard with the fertilizer tax. After Canada, the next 3 largest Potash producers are Russia, Belarus & China. President Trump doesn't care. The US has been subsidizing Canada's electrical grid for over $250 million dollars a year. Canada will loose that. In addition, US automotive industries like stellantis are moving productions back to the US from Canada. Canada has been charging the US dairy products 250% in tariffs, US Bourbon and whiskey 180% for over 4 years. China has been charging Ford 200% tariff so much so that ford can no longer afford to sell their vehicles in China.....all these outrageously high tariffs were designed to protect their domestic products.... China was suposed to spend 4 billion dollars a year in US goods but they have been consistently spending only 1.9 billion each year . Trade deficit of over 2 billion dollars. What sane person would allow this to happen in a free market and call this fair trades????? I have no knowledge of this until recently.

First acknowledge that a country has the right to control its borders. The US has lost its Aircraft industry (Boeing), its Car industry (Detroit) and now its Semiconductor industry (Intel). Millions of unscreened people are infiltrating. Trump is trying. In the case of Canada and Mexico tariffs are counter-productive. Its tough to turn a declining empire around. His strategy is to tax foreign goods instead of taxing US resources and to force local production. The US citizen pays either way.

Every country should be responsible for their own goods. The day we start relying on other countries for what we need we're in a heck of a mess. Because China couldn't get our merchandise to our plant we had to shut down for almost a month. We messed up sending some of our work to China. After this we got everything in the US. Cheaper prices are not the solution. Cheaper labor is not the answer. Trump is concerned about the drugs coming into our country and since the borders are affected these drugs will be coming into our country many other ways. Canada can just turn off oil supply to the US. The US cannot refine their own oil, they need to import oil because all their refineries are set up for the type of oil that is imported, and not their own type of oil, which is low-grade

Trudeau is the epitome of western society's moral decay, under his leadership Canada has become a radical third world country, from gay marriage to state sponsored marihuana, to state sponsored gambling that floods the country.
