Since they don't intend to give visas one small office will suffice .No need of multiple huge embassies and consulates of a single country in India . Diplomatic relations can be downgraded. But stop this scamming and gambling with people's money.

The Central Govt should tell foreign embassies especially Western ones with steep visa fees that they can only charge the fee after the person receives the visa. If his application is rejected he pays zero. Charging steep visa fees and rejecting is equivalent to scamming people. Either you tell the person beforehand he won't receive visa. Also visa fees must be reduced as they are much higher in India than most countries.

The problem is fear that Indians will travel to the West and not go back. Not just Indians, but Africans, South Americans and many Asian countries do the same. I've lived in the US for 55 years. There was an Indian music troop that came to the US to perform, maybe 20 people, including singers, musicians, comedians etc. After their tour in the US, half of them did not return to India. They figured they can make a better living in the US and live here as an illegal immigrant. This is too common. The next time when a troop of musicians want a US visa, chances are the immigration office will think twice about approving a visa. I can travel anywhere with a US passport because people know that Americans will return back to the US.

as an NRI who lived in US, UK, and Canada, I can tell you that the so called developed nations are over hyped. Yes, there are so many things that are better in these countries compared to india, but all these countries lack one thing. Respect towards fellow human beings. I lived in several states in India, we have problems, but nothing compared to these countries. Indians don't belong outside of india. Don't go to any country out side of iindia...you are not welcome. I came back to india and I am living peacefully.

Hilarious that not so long ago Palki was in Oxford giving a speech about how powerful India passport is. Apparently according to her the Immigration officer in the UK was impressed about her Indian passport.lolzz. Indian passport holders and quite unfortunately Indian citizens/Indian subcontinent folks are some of the least respected people around the world. What more India can do to avoid visa rejections:\n\nPut an end to religious intolerance against minorities within the country. I am fond of Ms Palki,s presentation.But she is more indian without justification. I have read most of the comments. What she will tell about visa rejection of the Bangladeshi by India. For such rejection and restriction students can not apply visa for the countries which visa centres are in India. Its tit fir tat.

For Indians, there are 2 key reasons. I travel so much and live away, so I can say this- 1. The growing jealousy on India and the fact most western countries do not want Indians. China is doing it behind the back wherever they can. The second and equally important is the our behavior and arrogance as Indians when we travel and when we stay abroad. We really irritate and upset people around us.

You need to explore the fraudulent ones too and not just blame other country's visa process which is the same for people from non-indian origins. The actual issue is much more complex. Being a proud Indian and living in NZ from a decade I can say it's not just the equality.\nThe amount of frauds we do in our visa application just to enter a foreign land, I can speak on behalf of NZ, makes it difficult for the next batch of applications coming from that region.\nI won't label that with racism because every country has the right to protect its borders. Non white anti immigration hate is quite high among local public in all these countries mentioned. Infact very high. There is pressure on governments to clamp down immigration to win elections. Race does play a part in such policies and i can confirm India certainly is in limelight in these countries when it comes to immigration.

So you seem to be blaming the Country denying Indians a visa. Break down the rejections. Indians like any other third world country are known to use these avenues to escape from India. Don't blame the countries for taking time to assess. Blame the Indian society/economics that is forcing people to exit the country. See what can be done to fix that first, so that people don't want to exit your motherland first.

The Rejection rate is still very low . India can also do more to prevent illegal immigration to other countries. That gives all Indians a bad image and more scrutiny when they apply for a Visa. Like Requiring all Indians travelling overseas to have a return ticket and digital copy of their Visa, passport that can be accessed by the Indian embassy in the country they plan to visit . So if they are illegals or lose their passport, the India Embassy/Gov will know or be able to help them with a new passport to travel back to India. Digital copy is to be submitted to the Indian Embassy in the country they plan to visit days before departure, with conformation .\n\n These simple steps will bring more credibility to Indian Passport holders.

India's over population is the biggest concern to the whole world. India should simply merge with Australia, USA, UK, Canada and NEW zealand. So many indians are dying to migrate to these counties. So many indians do not want to live in india due to lack of quality of life, corruption, pollution and over population. If india merges with these countries they can move half of the indian population to these countries and the quality of life in India will improve.

Please fact check your video. Atleast in EU shengen irregular immigration from Indian subcontinent is a social hot potato. Refer Portugal for example- theres an entire parliamentary debate this week on addressing the social havoc irregular subcontinental immigration has caused. The scenario can be true for most Mediterranean southern European countries. Ground reality is most of West is not dependent on India for skilled immigration. Infact most that comes through is low skilled labour. Skilled STE(A)M immigration is a not a high percentage. Until India changes this, the passport strength will not improve.

Well, out of all Indian revenue 90% wealth belong to only 10% population and rest of all Indians are living below poverty line. How about a few more major reasons why Indian Visas are being rejected by most of the countries. It's not anti immigrant it is anti -indian sentiment because of our uncivilized behavior, breaching visa conditions and seeking asylum all over the world. It's not western world that needs our talent, in fact India needs the west to export our talent because we can't afford our population. Sadly, government officials are helping the human traffickers to create forged documents and police cases so that they can make a valid excuse. Indians are being hated everywhere because of India.

My both canada and mexico got rejected recently ???pretty devastating.For a fact i have all the documents and funds but i am being denied by canada stating like i dont have enough home connection.so far i have been born and brought up entirely in India and all my relatives are here.In mexico tourist visa they didn't give a reason ?.Just simply waste of time,money and effort.There should be some strict laws to tackle this problem then only we Indians can have the liberty and proper respect.

Saw a doc on british customs ppl catching ppl - 1 indian guy claimed to b a student at a english college was his bad luck dat da lady interviewing him knew a bit of basic i.t - dis kid lied abt da college he did enroll buy failed & dropped out , he fidnt know squat of 1st yr basic i.t , his english level was putrid , da u.k customs also caught illegal chinese working in chinese restaurants living like squatters. Indian govt must grow some kahoonas and reciprocate the same conditions and hoops for tourists from usa, UK, Australia, nz, Europe that are subjected on indians. Its incredible how foreign tourists are allowed to do other things and get away scot free. These students came for an education. You accepted the terms of that student visa and should thereby adhere to those terms. Many countries do offer jobs to international students who excel in their studies if there are available positions in that field that Canadians can not fill. It is Indian recruiters who have sold the residency idea both in India and Canada. It is these recruters that teach them how to defraud our systems and take your money. If you think about it, how many successful companies hire people with strip mall college certificates in high paying jobs.\n\nWho they should be protesting against are their recruiters who sold them this illusion, not our government. There are processes for residency, not privileges.

Canada is the next India, the moment an Indian becomes Manager or job on recruitment or hiring, you can forget about working at the company if you're Black, White, Asian. this is becoming an issue so bad that i have a feeling this could spark a fight.

Thank you for bringing this to the forefront. Also, I think what is equally if not more damaging is that our experience of Indians is that they cheat. Whether a driving school, moving company or other business, they are well known to bypass regulations and swindle Canadians. Demanding overcharges at the time of delivery etc. If there is a scam running, they are involved. In about 2004 almost every Indian real estate agent in Alberta had their license pulled because they were proven to be involved in mortgage fraud on a massive scale. Not to mention we can no longer enjoy peace and quiet in our own homes without having some Indian calling us from India, trying to plant viruses on our computer, steal our life savings, or otherwise do as much damage to Canadians as they can. If there is a way to cheat the government or cheat on immigration, they will have their hand in it. I will not even talk to an Indian on the phone anymore - period! As a general rule, Canadians have learned that they can't be trusted.

I first want to address the rumour about human feces and dirty diapers being found on Canadian beaches, and I want to stand up for the people who called out Indians for doing this. Somebody saw something. Maybe they weren't able to produce any legal proof of it, but they clearly saw something, and there is nothing racist about them calling out this behaviour. This practice is not only unhygienic. It is ILLEGAL in Canada; so, it absolutely should be called out publicly to prevent it from ever happening again. I have seen many videos about the culture of mass open defection in India. The videos I saw were posted by Indians themselves. One of those videos was a TEDx talk done by a woman named Sangita Vyas who discussed the truth about open defecation and that it is not limited to only the poor population. Even people who can afford to build latrines are not using them, and she explains why after interviewing Indians to ask why. I've watched Indian doctors talk online about how many Indian children die from something as simple as diarrhea every year as a direct result of the water contamination caused by open defecation. So, clearly, open defecation is legal in India, and perhaps some of these people think if it's legal at home then it must also be legal elsewhere. WRONG. It's illegal in Canada. It's unhygienic. It should never happen. Period. And there is NOTHING racist about a Canadian saying this out loud and reminding people that they must follow the rules and laws of the country they are in.

As an American and also a half Indian myself, I hear this guy . I have friends in Canada and they complain to me about the same thing. One of the things is that Indians refuse Canadians job positions because they are not Indian. How can u Indians refuse someone a job in their own country? And another thing. Changing Canadian culture just like he said. . Canada has a right to their own culture. U people cannot do that. U live in Canada not India. India has its own culture as well . Sadly to say u Indians brought the racism upon ourselves.

Can you break down the west coast cause holy moly, i feel like i live in india not Canada!!! My apt building is filling up with immigrants, all the whites are moving out as the landlord is letting our building turn into a slum, whenever i call, he is in India, he has not fixed a damn thing and as white people move out, he does not clean the apt between people, he let's them move in with other people's garbage, he did that to me and when i complained he asked for the keys back, he is also doubling the rent of the new immigrants. Why is it true Canadians are becoming homeless...i don't see any Indians living on the street at all!!
