You should have left your family in Nigeria if you are there to study. All the struggles you are talking about many other people are going through the same struggle. The first thing you should have done from Nigeria was learn about Canada, then look foe room and board that was close to your school. You should have left your family back home but that's the problem with you Nigeria. Apply for school visa then go the country bring your family trying to circumvent the immigration process. Sooooo.. here is my own side of the story .. i am happy he said *if you are stable*… well for most ppl in a situation like mine.. jobless here in Nigeria or living on 50k salary, no connection to get good jobs, nobody willing to help, getting a canadian visa is like winning the lottery.. its hard dere but i bet we will b able to cope nd cnt complain bcos it already is hard here too(worse)… we cn start small and grow… as for the racism honestly the tribalism here too is real.. all i am trying to say is what can they throw at us that we havnt already experienced, i mean ppl in my class… so was i happy when i got my visa some months ago? 100%.. also 100% ready for the new challenge.. long story short there are two sides to being an immigrant… please correct me if i am wrong ?

Honestly, u are so correct chokor, my husband graduated since 2010 till date no job, I my self since 2017 till now too no job. We just struggle with business. So tired of this country Nigeria ??. Trying to raise fund to move before ma go die frustrated.

Obviously if he has a personal driver in Nigeria, then he is part of a very wealthy minority back home, thus his experience and life is much better back home. Canada has better equality in every way than Nigeria & in my own home country as well, if you want to be in a country that tries to give a decent quality of life for everyone equally and not just a high quality of life for a small minority, then he's right, stay in Nigeria. Canada will humble you if you don't have the competitiveness to earn a good life, it's a country designed to serve the masses, not just you personally. The doctor has many other patients to see, they don't have time to hang out with you buddy.

All these blogers have made traveling abroad look like the heaven on earth...lol I lived in Canada for 5years and the situation was depressing..The country is currently going through economic recession..In Nigeria as terrible as this place is people are still buying cars and houses cash..Canada is a fucked up country that guy will eventually relocate to the US very soon

Grew up in a traditional sikh family in punjab with the generic beliefs about pakistan being the rival country and punjab's hate towards the incidents of 1984 &1947. Moved to canada when i was 12 years old. Now i hav friends from muslim community, hindi community, afganistan, nigeria, Chinese, japanese and some others as well. We r so close to each other and just enjoy each other's values. We eat what we want and be considerate towards each other's values. I wish something like that could exist in india too. Just geeting along but there is too much division. Unfortunately, seems like its only gonna get worse. Much love to every community in india as well as pakistan. Its possible to get along if we just acknowledge the facts and gain some unbiased knowledge. Thank you for making that first step possible Nitish❤

1. Canada's immigration is primarily skilled labour. Non- skilled labour is imported mostly from the Carribean countries especially Jamaica and you have to leave every year and come back in the next. So, that can be disruptive, but I've met Jamaican's who've been on those programs and done well as well as those who haven't.\n2. If you come to Canada illegally utakipata. Be prepared to hustle for long.\n3. Since Covid everything has become very expensive especially housing. \n4. The videos you've shown of people sleeping outside is because of an increase in the influx of refugees wanting to come to Canada. Refugee shelters are allocated money in the budget for what the Govt estimates will be the number of refugees they'll take in, but there's been an influx lately.\n- A point to note though, ALL refugees Canada received from Ukraine had jobs within 2 months. Why? very skilled labour.\n- Canada's refugee policy is much more lenient than in the US and thus most refugees have been coming to Canada even from the US. The US ones have since been blocked by an agreement signed by both countries.\n5. Are there jobs in Canada? YES, but they require certain skills. The good thing is that once you get one, its the beggining of good fortunes.\n6. If you have skilled qualifications, be prepared to start at a lower level than you are used to and claw your way up. Just don't expect to start where you left off. A Nigerian friend of mine who had performed several surgeries in Nigeria could not be hired until he went back to get certified here in Canada. He has since joined the medical field after going back to school.\n\nAll in all, research, research, research before you make any move.
