Im leaving because Canada is one of the worst communist woke hellholes on the planet. Its also incredibly anti-whyte. 4 more years then I can retire and get the hell out of this frozen dump. Once you leave here and see that you re not living in a free country your eyes get opened just just how controlled and oppressed you really are in Canada. So many people have no idea.

I would stay in Canada no matter what. The US has so many problems such as gun violence, homelessness, and low paying jobs.

Few years from now people will live in Canada just to survive.

We will get 2023 stats in 2024 but according to 2022 data about 50K people left and separately Govt stated that 500K people were admitted as Permanent residents. Add international students and work permit holders on top of it. So overall more people arrived in Canada.

Many recent immigrants I have known have left Canada because the cost of living is too high. From my experience they work very hard, usually working 60+ hours a week. After some time they crunch the numbers and realize no matter how hard they try they will not get anywhere so they leave. For those born in Canada we find ourselves being chased out of our hometowns because it is too expensive to live there. For myself it was either stay in Vancouver, surrendering more than half of your income to rent or move out of the city to buy an apartment. In the major cities there is a mass exodus of young people and the strategy has been to replace that exodus with immigration. The problem is that is not sustainable as now new immigrants, seeking a better life are not finding it in major Canadian cities. For those who already own property in the lower mainland the selfish mentality is to do whatever you can to deny construction, thus maintaining the scarcity and value of what little land/housing there is in desirable areas. Zoning laws are beginning to change but progress is slow and municipalities have failed to keep up with infrastructure so the growing pains is going to be immense. It's beautiful here now doubt but if I had no ties and a solid financial footing I would have left long ago. Generations ago you could show up to Canada with no money and thrive if you were willing to work hard. Now hard work won't get you anything.

As a visitor I really love Canada. It is clean, it feels safe and the people are so great; kind and helpful. Mind you I am from the UK so comparisons are hopeless.

Now immigration is easier with no visa required for other countries. Long term care homes are also overwhelmed as people are bringing their non english speaking relatives and causing a burden on this social system, thus MAID has been no other option for many people. I lived in Toronto my whole life and there have been major ethnic groups co-operating to muffle other ethnic groups, a passive racist attempt of pushing certain minorities out. \nThen Canada's government had a bright idea and started bending down to three major powers, which heavily invested in purchase of lands (like it was a real life game of monopoly) while in rapid succession- building townhouses and duplexes (then ditching all of that and opting for condominiums as the ultimate seize all in property value).\nIt became unlivable starting around 2015 (because of a specific group of migrants that have been aggresively flooding in [I can say that because I am of that origin, but born here and aware of what THEY can do]).\nCanada started dying around 2006-2007 and her last breath was at 2010. Moreover, challenges include drug-related issues, government inaction on inflation, and high rent problems. The focus appears to be on importing individuals, sometimes intolerant towards the LGBTQ community, rather than prioritizing support for its own citizens.

Compared to US the kind of people that are immigrating to Canada are those who are just not up to the mark who could prosper economically. It is like they wanted to get to the gold standard - US - but since they are not that skilled going to a truly disgusting compromise. I came in Canada in 1997. The rent was so low and anybody can own a car even if your wage is not that high. Starting in 2016, all of a sudden house prices ballooned! The rent skyrocketed. It's hard to own a car today. Owning a car today would cost you around at least $850 a month(car monthly payment, insurance, gas, maintenance)

I do want to point out there is not a lot of country that is going well. USA is about to crash and forget health care and in some care any type of insurance . Argentina is in terrible state. The EU have very similar problem to Canada. Australia as well. I think New Zealand is still doing okay. Any other country to suggest?

Life is tough here in Canada. Economy is stagnant, things aren't working, crime rate is up, healthcare is in decline, politics is abysmal. I can understand and don't blame Canadians who want to leave. But I have hope that things will change for the better.

I believe Canadian citizenship should require a minimum residency of at least five years to deter those seeking only a passport. While Canada is a great place to live and work not the best like USA, it isnt a good as it was and definitely not the best for retirement compared to countries like Mexico.
