I would say Liberal/Trudeau government mismanagement of Canada resources has double the cost of living.

Canada imports people to keep the housing industry booming, keep housing prices high and keep developers wealthy. Infrastructure is an after thought, poorly designed subdivisions with endless traffic jams, overloaded hospitals.

The Liberal government has been a huge problem over the last ten years. Its softness towards drugs and crime has put huge strain on the system, law biding citizens concerns get ignored. As a lifelong Canadian citizen, Canada has become a shell of its formal glory.

The problem with the international students is the cost of tuition specially for student from poor countries, Canada is not design to support them in anyway ,the cost of living is so high that is almost impossible to give a proper education, and today cost of living is crazy to mortgaged your life for the Canadian diploma that not guaranteeing you success after paying all the money is a big gamble

I lived in Toronto from 2002 till 2007. I loved it there so much that I tried to apply to stay there for long term but alas, i got rejected. I remember i cried when I left Canada. Canada will always have a special place in my heart ❤❤

I have 3 degrees from university and colleges and i owe 130k in loans.. I am 28 and cannot find a job. I live in my parents basement now and have no girlfriend. I even applied to work at Tim Horton's and Mc donalds but they will not hire me cause i am white male and to hire me would contravene Canada's employment equity act! But on the bright side of things i did get Free vaccines every 87 days thanx to our great prime minister Trudeau!

Canada has no money for this, we are in debt, so we have to borrow money and cannot take in an endless hoard of people. We have a severe lack of housing for citizens.

The problem is with the GOVERNMENT! The taxes are confiscatory and that depresses economic activity. Canada is blessed with abundant energy and natural resources but the government restricts drilling and mining which create wealth, prosperity and good jobs.

It's only for a while. After the target number of immigrants has been attained, Canada will be one of the best countries in the near future.

Canada does not need the current level of immigration. This notion is promoted by people who are in RE flipping. Country needs to focus on high value pharmaceutical, manufacturing as it leaves China, export oil/gas.

Ah it is almost the same in my country, the Netherlands. Extremely wealthy, lot of immigrants to but we have a real reason to complain: we do not have the space Canada does have......let 's say a major difference? ? Anyway I will go to Canada just for vacation, hiking and travelling around ( I think will be Alberta or BC ) and put some of my well earned money in your economy. Canada lacks housing, so the price of housing goes up due to high demand for homes. Yet no more houses will be built as this will depreciate the existing values of home.

Moved to Canada 13 years ago, I own a House ❌ “A Mortgage” ✅ as well. It’ll take another 27 years to pay off the mortgage. Living below the means, but still it’s tough to make ends meet. Leaving soon, Canada is not worth living anymore.

It's not only people who are leaving, even big corp. like Sears, Target , HSBC, Lowe's and most recently Nordstrom. They figured how hard to make money here in Canada. and I figured it too that's why I'm leaving.

as an Immigrant, I'm done immigrating for now but I get taxed net net around 45% + HST + Carbon tax + Property taxes, for all these taxes, I get really not much back. I don't qualify for most services, I don't get dental, I don't need many either, but it is putting a lot of pressure on my entrepreneurship aspirations. The healthcare is truly atrocious and still need to fly for medical appointments by good doctors since doctors here are dumber for some reason. If you want to be an entrepreneur who owns a house, Canada is not your place right now. Worst of all is the culture, highly highly introverted in a bad way, cold people, bad social skills, boring conversations and everyone seems to be high on weed. I am glad you have found something to do as a hobby but if you were in the USA you would have 4X the disposable income (and I think we all would still be complaining).

Housing, owning it is worse in Europe, so Canada shines.\nBut I agree for experience and degrees. Degree doesn't add any value at all. Basically, Canada decided to wear shoes way bigger than its size. Accommodating so many immigrants without any robust planning and management was a gamble that backfired the country. While i understand a country with a weak demography requires young population to contribute ti fuel its economic engine, lack of job creation and superficially overpriced real estate are the ticking time bombs waiting to go off and go beyond control soon. \nOne thing that continues to amaze me is the tolerance and acceptance of Canadians towards failed policies of its government. The protest against vaccination gained traction, but no real voice against a problem stressing every Canadian on daily basis? \nCabada must stop comparing itself to the US that has a very well planned immigration system seeking the most talented professionals in their respective fields. It's a problem of both Indian and Canadian government. Canadian government assumes no responsibility of int'l students as it's a privilege to study abroad for anyone. BUT stopping exploitation of int'l is Canada's ethnical and lawful obligation

3 schools in Amherst Nova Scotia cancelled their Christmas school concerts because of immigration of people who don't like Christmas and don't feel inclusive because they don't celebrate Christmas. This is what Immigration is doing to Canada.
