I worked in Taiwan before. Even a minimum wage convenience store clerk can earn more than in Canada. I can buy more McDonald's hamburger, eating out 3 meals everyday, fewer days of salary to pay rent.(almost half)for example, Any minimum wage workers in Taiwan can rent a room by working less than 3 days, but in Canada a room is $600 which needs 6 days wage to pay the rent. And TTC bus and subway monthly fee is $155/. It needs 1.5 days' salary to buy it. Comparing to Taipei, it costs only less than 1 days' salary to buy the bus and subway monthly card.

I completely agree about being isolated, I'm in Manitoba and will be leaving here for good within the next year and heading back to Europe, I've had enough. Isn't it a bit hypocritical when some people ask for the freedom to practice their faith and dress in hijabs, but find it unacceptable when men dress into women? For me, it's all the same mascarade people can indulge in, if they want to. Democracy means co-existing and compromising with people you have nothing in common with. Countries that seem morally acceptable to Muslims are 99% dictatorship states. If one finds it acceptable to live in such state and raise their young there, should be free to do so. But when suddenly on one October morning this dictator state launches a cold-blooded massacre on civilians in the neighboring country, it's good to remember who started it. Canada seems to remember.

I really do wish u all the best, but coming from a Muslim country myself immigrating to Canada recently, I’d say don’t get your hopes up, because so called “Muslim” countries aren’t much different, and having to live in a country where u can hear the athan is nice, but unfortunately is not enough. This is actually my problem with Western Muslims, romantacizing Muslim countries. I literally practiced Islam fully and more freely in Toronto than in Cairo or Dubai. There is no such thing is a “Muslim country” the way you guys having it painted in your minds! People in those countries are as just “people” they sin and as. corrupt as societies in the West but in a different way.

We've made hijarah a couple of times. Currently in the UAE. Its ok, the masjids are a bit 'meh' in terms of spirituality and community. It is very easy to pray though, prayer rooms at all the malls and many petrol stations. Regarding Palestine, you'd probably be more disapointed with what's happening in the masjids here than in Canada. I was suprised to see how open they are with things like Victorians secrets stores and some of the clothes shop maniquins have crazy big boobs with visible nipples so theres an element of seediness that's well established. Oman serms more on form.

As a Canadian myself, there are definitely a lot of problems going on here right now. Im on Vancouver Island and its very expensive. A lot of problems with homelessness and addiction here as well. \nIm probably going to be stuck in Canada forever lol, but I really like Southern Europe. Im not sure how big the Muslim population is in those countries. There are countries like Qatar and UAE where the official religion is Islam.
